My husband and I chose this hotel for it's location, which was walking distance to where I was working. The staff was very accommodating. The room was non-smoking but there was a slight odor of smoke, not enough to bother us. They have a good breakfast for this category of hotel. The neighborhood has a strong authentic Mexican character, which we enjoyed.

Hotel staff are very nice and friendly but my credit card was charged twice. Prepay through Orbitz and Hotel charge me a second time. Eventually the second charge was reversed and everything was ok but if you don't pay attention to your credit card statement you'll end up paying double. Parking lot is tiny, you'll have a hard time finding a parking spot and and if get lucky you'll find out you can't even open your door wide enough to get out of your vehicle.

Its a clean and well priced. It's close to downtown, and walking distance of some tourist attractions.

Great Service. Was able to check in earlier with no problem!!!

Okay, look why take my license plate number if you are not going to monitor your parking lot? Or why not have enough spaces for rooms? When I mentioned I couldn't park in the lot, got limpid response from desk clerk (Male. The young lady who checked me in was friendly, however). The only time I could park in the lot during my 3 day stay was when I checked in! Also, the sink in my room needed to be unclogged. When I ran water it drained slow and smelled so bad, that I eventually resorted to brushing my teeth in the shower.

The Travelodge was a great place to stay. It was convenient to Harbor Drive and the freeway. The fact that I didn't have to pay a daily rate in order to have a fridge/microwave in the room was a huge plus. Additionally, the staff was super friendly and helpful. When it came time for me to print my boarding pass, they were more than happy to do so. The only reason I didn't give them excellent marks for room comfort was due to the lack of firmness in the mattress. Otherwise, I thought the facilities were excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Diego.

We had to get a room for just one night and this hotel was surprising great! The location is right off the freeway, a couple mins away from K1 speed and gaslamp! The beds are okay, the room was very clean, and it wasn't a bad price.

The front office staff was mediocre in it's friendliness and making me the guest feel comfortable. The location is a little further than expected and the parking was horrible. The hotel is next to a not so nice neighborhood and having to park my car on the street made me very uncomfortable. Overall it felt like an over priced motel 6

I just stayed one night before my flight, so it met my needs. The front desk girl(employee) was pleasant and very helpful answering my questions and recommending a place to eat. When checking, I think it was the owners wife, was completely the opposite. The breakfast coffee pot was empty and not much to eat was available, this was at 6:30 am. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was decent.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms was nice. The only thing that would improve hotel would be repairing stairs. One step was chipped. It is a liability.

One mile away from the convention center with your basic room. The place is well maintained but does show it's age a bit. For the money it is a descent room. It has free WiFi and a good work space in the room.

Great value and location for it's price.Old place but renovated . centrally located , but someway in unpleasant neighborhood so plan to drive and not walk

Room was perfect for price, neighbors were noisy but nothing wrong with the actual place. Would totally stay there again!

The staff was friendly, but the place was dated and the room had an awful smell that actually stayed on my clothes. I had to wash everything.

The place was okay but the lights didnt work and the shampoo was too cheap.

I went for a meeting at the SD Convention Center and the sponsoring hotel was $280 per night. I was able to stay at the ABVI for four nights for that price. The place is reasonable, but rather plain. It is about a 10 minute walk from the trolley, so it positions you well if you are willing to walk; fortunately, it's San Diego, so you do have to worry about the weather. Warning: taxis like to "circumvent" downtown traffic by taking you on the interstate which drops you right off into the hotel parking lot, but this can more than double your fare.

It's a short drive to gaslamp district which is the only place we wanted to go. We pretty much went for the night life and it worked out find the hotel location was great and not pricey.

hotel was good for the night we stayed, good price, maintenance and of easy access, close to freeways. Just the view of the neighborhood isn't pretty though.

Good value for the money, not a very good neighborhood though

it was a good exp. I def. will do it again.
