Liked proximity to different touristic areas. However, parking was expensive and hard to find.

staff was fine. Old hotel needs help. Please submit survey

I expect more for my money the Room was not as nice as expected plus you get charge for parking, I was not aware of that situation and it really bother me to pay something that should be part of your room rate.

I paid more thru Orbitz than if I had contacted the hotel directly, This was unfortunate.

The new rooms are likely much nicer than the old room I stayed in. It was incredibly quiet until the room next to me was let out. The walls are very thin and it became quite loud. On a positive note, the grounds are very pretty (minus the few areas under construction). And the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Think this place will do much better when it's updated.

We loved everything about town and country resort. We will be staying here on our next trip to San Diego!

This hotel was clearly built in the 1950's and never remodeled. I've stayed in jail cells that are roomier, more comfortable, and bigger. Why do I have to squat to take a shower? Because I'm 6' and the shower head comes up to my chest. Expect hidden fees--parking, admin fees, etc. Hot tub? I couldn't find it. Talking to the front counter gets you the fake, lame "I'm sorry you feel that way" response. I wish I would have went anywhere BUT here.

The room was sub par, but the grounds were very nice.

I was very disappointed to know how many events were taking place during my stay that were so close to room: A Survivor fund seminar with a very loud PA system, a fraternity party reunion, and the starting of the PuppetConf with people checking in over the weekend to prepare for the conference. I was not made aware of these events at the front nor how close the construction was going to be to my room. The roads to get to the tower were really confusing and there was not a whole lot of space for driving around.

The modern updates are awesome The new tvs have all the stations I like- they didn't use to With the makeover the room seems bigger Love the new bathroom and cozy robes

The room was super country. It was like staying at great Grandma's house. From the furniture to the wall paper. It was cute to stay in for a couple nights and it was close to everything. The only real negative I had was the parking. If you want to park by your room, you have to get lucky. The later you come back to the hotel, the harder it is. Ivy lines a lot of the walls and I think it really transforms the exterior.

Had to pay an extra 80 bucks for parking and resort fees I was very upset about that!!!

Checked in a few minutes after check in time and our room with King bed was not available. We would have to wait so I said fine we will taje a 2 bed room. 1st red flag. We get to our room wich is in the 3rd and last building All the way to the back to find out we were given the wrong key. The bath tub had hair in it so gross. Every morning (2dayStay) we wpuld wake up to hearing our neighborhs conversation at 6am. 15 Resort fee per night ok. But another 19 for parking is too much. Very annoying you have to get a ticket in n out and at check out the line was long. No shower cap in the restroom and pretty run down.

Very dated, staff slow to respond to requests. Will not stay here again.

I loved the place More like a vacation hotel , u feel very comfy , nice stuff , Very sutisfied

Great stay and very nice staff. Close to many places like the Fashion Valley Mall, Sea World and the Mission Beach Boardwalk. Clean rooms and very comfy.

The staff was helpful , zoo, sea world was near, we enjoyed our stay.

Friendly staff, and the room was very clean. Only thing they don't tell you is they charge $19 for parking on top of the $16 hotel fee, so expect the room to be $30-$40 more than it's advertised for.

No hot water on the first night, the handle on the shower was loose and in a different position every night. So it was a mystery shower you never knew what you were going to get. Room was small.

On the positive side, the hotel was convenient for the wedding we were attending and the hotel grounds were nice as well as the heated pool. Other than that, we felt that the price we paid to stay 2 nights was outrageous for the quality of the hotel room. Though everything was clean in our room, everything was also outdated and had no mini fridge, microwave and no continental breakfast. It felt like we were staying in a motel and even then, most motels offer more in their rooms. The only reason we chose The Town & Country Hotel was because we decided to make the trip last minute and this hotel offered the cheapest rate at that time in the area.
