We had such a great time here. The staff was so sweet and the rooms are super kitsch! We loved the heated pools and the kids loved the blow up unicorn and flamingo floaties! There aren’t a ton of food options on the grounds but you can get a good cup of coffee before venturing out and Charlie’s was delicious.

Wonderful hotel, with a townhome community feel. Room was clean, kids loved the pool(s), and bed was super comfortable. Had a couple of on site restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Beach was close to us, as well as the mall. Freeway access at the front door, couldn't have been better. The rooms were a bit dated, the blue carpet has to go. The room had a musty smell but nothing some fabreeze couldn't fix. Great pools and hot tub, kids loved it!

This hotel is conveniently located with a trolley stop directly behind the hotel. Makes traveling around San Diego very easy.

I got charged by the hotel $20 parking daily fee. it was not mentioned in any part of the reservation. I do not like to pay any hidden fees. The hotel should be clarified this charge to costumers in advance. And also why to charge a extra parking fee when you are using the hotel service? it should be included in the daily price aas the parking site is on site and it is park yourseft, not a valet of anyghing like that.

No minifridge or microwave. Many rms like ours set up like motel rms. Small. Pools & fitness are far from rms. Pictures are very misleading. Not enough parking by far. If you're not in by 10, you'll find nothing not even far from rm so you have to park illegally. Security parking is handled by a person, not a card system, really outdated. You have to wait in line to get in and out. I guess they're updating now, but should have prices commensurate with what they have now.

The room we got was not clean...they ended up moving us to a room that was clean, but still very outdated. The room we're very tight...not much room to walk around along with a small TV (32'). Just very disappointed by the pictures on this website and the actual room.

I though tit was a little pricy. You have to pay for everything including the use of their computer. It is a nice hotel - I just wouldn't recommend it.

I booked at $100. Not a bad price for the condition of the hotel. $20 for parking, each night, and, $16 resort fee--not sure if that is daily and per person. With the total at $136 before taxes, I could have a nicer hotel that included parking, etc. Watch out. On the plus side, they seemed to have a nice pool and it looked to be very family-friendly.

I don't really write reviews but this particular experience left me so upset. Before I even walked into my room the service man upfront sold me on switching to a complementary"upgrade " from the original room I requested , highlighting the newly renovated rooms" comfort " . The room wasn't terrible by any means but the bed was a Folded out sofa with one of the most uncomfortable mattresses I've ever slept on. I probably wouldn't of been as upset if I Hadn't of walked across the building where we should have stayed in, the rooms were much nicer and elegant felt like I was cheated out of a good experience . Add to that a paid for my parking fee in cash and later found out I was charged on my credit card as well took a good four hours going back-and-forth with the front office and calling my credit card company to credit me back one of the days .

Very beautiful room and out balcony over looked the pool and resort.

Parking was horribnle and they charge the guest to park far away from the rooms!

This hotel is the second worst hotel I've ever booked on Orbitz. It was $134! I got to the front desk at 4:20pm and my room was not ready. I got my key almost 3 hrs later. The grounds are filthy with trash and the room I had was awful. For $134 it was upsetting. This hotel should be $49.99 at best. They call it a resort? No way

Liked proximity to different touristic areas. However, parking was expensive and hard to find.

staff was fine. Old hotel needs help. Please submit survey

I expect more for my money the Room was not as nice as expected plus you get charge for parking, I was not aware of that situation and it really bother me to pay something that should be part of your room rate.

I paid more thru Orbitz than if I had contacted the hotel directly, This was unfortunate.

The new rooms are likely much nicer than the old room I stayed in. It was incredibly quiet until the room next to me was let out. The walls are very thin and it became quite loud. On a positive note, the grounds are very pretty (minus the few areas under construction). And the staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Think this place will do much better when it's updated.

We loved everything about town and country resort. We will be staying here on our next trip to San Diego!

This hotel was clearly built in the 1950's and never remodeled. I've stayed in jail cells that are roomier, more comfortable, and bigger. Why do I have to squat to take a shower? Because I'm 6' and the shower head comes up to my chest. Expect hidden fees--parking, admin fees, etc. Hot tub? I couldn't find it. Talking to the front counter gets you the fake, lame "I'm sorry you feel that way" response. I wish I would have went anywhere BUT here.

Dear Traveler, Thank you for this feedback and we are sorry that we disappointed you. We do our best to make guests aware of the parking rate at the time of booking whether making a reservation with one of our agents or any online site, and we are sorry if this was not made clear. We will check with our agents and the online sites to ensure this is clearly stated so everyone feels that they have been informed well in advance of arrival. Warm regards, Reuben Medina
