Everything was fine. Nothing special, nothing remarkable, just fine. The staff was okay, not great. No one went out of their way to make things particularly exceptional. That was really the problem I guess....if there was a problem. The thing about this type of hotel is that you get exactly what you expect and that is good. There were a couple small issues. When I checked in they sent me to a room with two beds even though a specifically requested a king. So I had to drag all of my stuff back down and get keys for a second room, which was right next door. My husband was meeting me there later in the week and I specially asked if the room could be cleaned in the morning so he could come into a nice clean room. When we arrived at 2:00 the room still had not been cleaned. Nothing major, just not amazing.

Our stay included the following: - $49/day parking fee (I understand parking is tough, especially at Gaslamp but $49 is just ridiculous) - A large paintbrush/roll in the middle of the hallway upon check-in (we nearly slipped and fell on it when bringing our luggage in the room) - Hotel provided only 1 robe for us (shouldn't there be 2?) - An unpleasant 6am wake-up call from the hotel alarm clock (I presume the previous guests set this and it was never reset) For a 4-star hotel, price paid, and the fact that this was a Westin hotel, we expected MUCH more. A very disappointing experience for us.

Very nice. I thought the hotel was clean, the staff was nice, and the price was reasonable.

Hotel was excellent, clean and located in gaslamp. Only blip was we arrived early and had to wait for room. They held bags and texted when ready. Was only 2 blocks from best dive bar in gaslamp the star bar. Great trip great hotel

That turbine noise from the rooftop of adjacent mall kept us awake. It felt like being inside a factory.

Beds were too soft but everything else was great.

The only reason I rated as a 3 is because Valet Parking is your only option and we had a bit of a snafu with parking. This was a family trip with 2 cars and 3 rooms. We had dinner reservations at 6:30 and stood in the Valet line at 5:35. We waited 35 minutes for our car after requesting it 5x (the latter being when we went inside and the supervisor was called). They were unable to locate one of the cars, but did not let us know that. When asked for a refund on the parking fee, my parents were told that it would be discussed with the supervisor. When we got back from dinner, we again asked if parking was going to be refunded. The supervisor was called and it was. The next day, upon checking out, I had been charged for parking when I did not have a car on this trip. It was refunded, as well. What if I hadn't checked? Does this mean everyone automatically gets charged for parking? The hotel itself is lovely and the location was great! But the parking situation was very unpleasant.

They charge too much for parking and should not require that $10 per day extra charge. Restaurant is a bit pricey, but food was good. Staff was very helpful.

Good hotel will go back to stay.in town walk to shop and eat

Average experience, valet extremely expensive in comparison to comperition.

All I can say...Security excellent. I lost my jacket on a raining day. It took them a week but they found it. It was a North Face. Not cheap. Yeah. Thank you Thank you.

Our bathroom sink was clogged upon arrival but we really didnt think much of it but after the first night our bathroom had water every where from a leaky pipe. We were eventually moved to a better room nd the concierge wrote us a nice note and gave us a complimentary fruit skewers. We would've expected more given the inconvenience and that it was a facilities maintenance issue. The parking fee of $45 a day is steep.

Our experience here was just perfect. Check in was quick and seamless. The staff was very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. They definitely helped to make our vacation as easy as possible. We will be revisiting in the future!

Hotel is perfectly located in the Gaslamp Quarter. Rooms were refurbished and clean. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. You can walk to any of the attractions in the area, including Seaport Village, Gaslamp bars and restaurants, Midway, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is near my company. When I come down from up north it is a pleasant place to stay.

Modern, updated and very spacious room. I loved the location, so close to the Gaslamp district. I needed a late check out and this was no problem at all. Highly recommend for a night or two on the town in San Diego!

The hotel was awesome! The location was great along with the staff. I would stay there again.

Loved my stay here. So many place to eat at within walking distance. Petco Park easily walkable. Staff very helpful, good services and restaurant and bar area. Close to I5 and Old Town.

Overall our stay was fantastic. This is my go to hotel in San Dego. Hotel staff were nice and helpful. We were given room on top floor as it was our anniversary. Great location!

Great location.. Rooms are older but they are clean.. Impressive staff and lobby
