The Lodge at Torrey Pines

From start to finish, a perfect stay. Superb staff from valet parking to housekeeper. Very low key, non-stressful environment. Beautiful recreation of Arts and Crafts style hotel. Only 15 years old, but has the charm of a classic hotel. Food was terrific. 100 yards from golf shop and starter shack of both Torrey Pines courses-- South and North. If you want nightlife and action, try a beach city. If you want rest, relaxation, golf, good food and wine and 5 star service, make this your destination. Lobby is small. cozy by the fire and perfect to meet guests and have a drink. It you want to talk, relax and just chill...try the Lodge at Torrey Pines.

Our room was very nice, quiet and private. Temperature regulation worked perfectly. Loved our walk out over the golf course to the bluffs for sunset. Easy access to La Jolla and Del Mar restaurants and shops. The parking garage was easy to access from our room. Easy to drive in and out at all times. The restaurants were good but fairly expensive. We got lost a few times on the property. It's very confusing! But the ocean is right there to the west so its hard to be lost for long!

Beautiful grounds. In La Jolla, so tucked away from the business of San Diego. Husband enjoyed golf (expensive!) and we ate at the Grill, which had great food. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Has a historic feel to it all and views of course and ocean were priceless.

This place is obviously more costly than other local options but the amenities, location and service justify the price. No complaints , just kudos, and we will be back!

The property is very nice and peaceful. The rooms are large. Service is great and the staff are friendly. The spa is nice and not to busy.

Old, stinky place with terrible service. Unless you want to golf, don't bother.

This was a great weekend escape. The Lodge is beautiful and we loved the architecture. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal.

everything good, special the golf, when we stay the juniot world champion match just start.realy nice

Staff kind and outgoing in wonderful Lodge on course of Famous Torrey Pines. Upgrades unavailable even though many mid-week vacancies as sweet staff unable to find a way to say "yes". Ice machine has no access to guests and small bucket can only be refilled if you call front desk. $25 per day to park a car in empty garage and only $30 per day to valet. Need a rental car to get anywhere as La Jolla is a ways down the road. Great if golfing only or you want to boast ofstaying at the Lodge. Interior rooms not much of a view even though cute balconies are provided.

We used The Lodge as a family meeting place for our son who lives in China and us East Coast dwellers. Our rooms we great overlooking Torrey Pine interior nature area. Food and serve was outstanding at AR Valentine's and The Grill. Add on golfing at one of the most scenic courses in America and you can't beat it.

A few reviews have commented on this being a great place to stay for golfers, but not necessarily for others. Well, we stayed for three nights, never played any golf, and thought the place was first rate. The staff was helpful from the first time I called to tell them of our late arrival to after the stay when we figured out we left a computer charger in our hotel room. In between, the concierge gave us helpful information, the front desk and housekeeping were most professional and responsive, and the restaurant staff was helpful as well, including one time when we didn't eat a meal, but my wife wanted a little bread. In this last case, Diamond at The Grill was particularly accommodating and deserves special thanks. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We didn't have a balcony or patio, and if I go back, I would ask for one. The room included a fridge, and in a nice change from other higher end hotels, complementary internet access.

Service and staff. Service very good, restaurants good but expensive it was curious to pay for parking.Location is excellent

one of the very best places we've ever stayed ... great friendly service, high end but not stuffy, superb food, wonderful views, amazing golf and hiking right next door, and a close drive to everywhere nearby, la jolla, san diego, etc. highly highly recommended

A wonderful place to stay! We would like to return when the climate allows to enjoy the pool, as well.

The architecture, landscaped grounds and rooms are amazingly beautiful. The service was superb, with a staff as pleasant as any I have encountered. I would recommend it to any one wishing a secluded feel on an historic golf course just minutes from San Diego and a short drive up the coast for some great dinning.

The staff and ameneties were superb. Everyone was helpful, polite and prompt. The valet literally ran to get my car.

we checked in late into a dark room, the bell man said we keep the room dark so it stays cool, the next day woke up to a dark room, tried to open the keratin to bring in the sun only to see we have no view and no sun can reach in this room, very disappointing, complaint to the front desk, and they did nothing about it, this is a good motel 6, not a 4 or 5 start resort

The grounds, the staff, the food and the hotel were all excellent!!!

OUR 1ST TIME VISIT TO SAN DIEGO, LOVED LA JOLLA, VERY PRIVATE QUIET, SOPHISTICATED RESORT WITH OUTSTANDING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES INCLUDING WORLD-CLASS GOLF

wonderful, except for the pro shop personnel - a little stuffing attitude
