The hotel staff was great but aside from that the building is old and needs some upgrading. better off paying extra and staying at a more reputable hotel company.

Our room smelled of FRESH PAINT! When I arrived at 2am the last thing I wanted to deal with was "airing out" my room. We had to keep the front door wide open and the back slider to avoid getting a migraine. We had already unpacked and the kids were in the shower...and they show up 15 minutes after my arrival with a key to a different completely across the property! The kids were exhausted and quite frankly so was I. It was easier to stay in a paint filled room than trapse across the property at 2:20am with all of our bags. We then closed the doors at 3am because the kids were scared of the door being open. Fell asleep and woke up st 4am because I was so hot and decided we needed air and the air conditioner wouldn't work!! Couldn't call for maintenance at 4am with the kids asleep! It just completely sucked. One shouldn't pay $200 for a room and encounter these kind of issues.

Great place to relax. Amenities great. Only concern was it took us two days to find the light breakfast options in the gift shop. Always take your resort card for discounts. Buffets in firefly had good selection. Wait staff and all staff very accommodating. Going to book again!

My husband and I came here all the way from West Virginia as a first stop for our honeymoon. The view of the bay from the balcony was unbeatable. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. The robes provided in the room were plush and comfortable. Everyone was kind, gracious and friendly. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. We were grateful for a wonderful experience. Thank you!

I stayed here while attending a conference, as an alternative to the large resort across the street. It met my needs pretty well, although it's location is a bit remote if you want to get to downtown. For example I couldn't get a Wingz or Uber driver to commit to a pick-up, and cab fares add up quickly.

We had a very quiet and relaxing stay - often in the heated outdoor pool by ourselves in Feb. With only one small eating venue on site (Firefly) and room service delivery charges for any poolside snacks this would not be our vacation of choice for busy months in San Diego. There is no separate bar or lounge area to relax in. That being said, they offer great discount tickets to all the attractions, are ideally located for walks to the beach or marinas and the staff we dealt with were great. Pay extra for a Bay view room if you can.

The rooms were clean. They have outside entrance Good beds and pillows!!!!!! Don't hesitate My wife and I loved it Thank you Dana employee's for your efforts!!!!!!!!!!!

Check in was easy and the staff were very nice and helpful. Our room overlooked the marina and it was beautiful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.

I don't like the room I had, and will definitely book more premier room in building of 2000 which has bay view.

Well if you don't get a suite don't stay here. Older part of hotel not well cared for with crumbled paint and in my room bathroom had mold on ceilings. Other new side hotel looks nice. The front desk staff seemed ambivalent if you are not with any of the large groups or weddings the often held here.

I had a one-night stay-cation at this resort, and it was better than I could have expected. I was able to enjoy a complimentary upgrade to a suite located on a corner with a balcony overlooking the bay and marina. What a score! I ordered room service twice and both times were wonderful (basic quesadilla and omelette, but still tasty) and every member of staff I came into contact with was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and though some of it could have used updates to the design, I really didn't have any complaints. The only truly negative experience I had was when I had dinner at the on-site restaurant. San Diego is a mecca for delicious food options, and the Firefly was just terrible. From food to slow service (even if it was slow service with a friendly demeanor) it was a lackluster experience. While I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again, I can't say that I would go to their restaurant. Luckily getting around San Diego is relatively easy, but if you don't have a car and don't want to take Uber or a taxi to leave the resort, then you're very limited on what you can eat.

Room was very nice, pool and jacuzzi top shape. Felt more like a resort. Marina and water sports rentals

Room service was there everyday, enjoyed the hot tub and on sight pool. Firefly the onsite restaurant was also great. Would stay there again!

Nice and close to beach and food. Super close to Sea World.

The property is beautiful with good staff. The rooms have 2.5/5 bedding, slow/water-saving shower, wifi speed/connection is so/so, and the air conditioner is in the back by the bathroom which are the "con." The property is easily accessible with great parking and entertainment (rentals for boats, jet skis, etc.; also ping pong, and close to other beach attractions with two great pools). Public areas to be outside by the bay, but little to ever used by non guests. Would give this place a 3 out of 5 on the star rating - mostly because for the price the rooms themselves are below average - but the experience was at least a 4 out of 5.

so worth every dollar!!

My husband and I came here all the way from West Virginia as a first stop for our honeymoon. The view of the bay from the balcony was unbeatable. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.
