Upon checking in, the front desk manager or person requested a security deposit of $100 cash. I asked why cash, just placed a hold on my credit card, and he proceeded to tell me, “we only take cash because if we ran it by credit, the bank is going to charge us and that’s expensive for us. You can go to 7 Eleven and pull out cash.” After asking to see where it shows cash deposit, he brought up their website and it indicated $100 USD security deposit but it doesn’t state cash. I have stayed in this hotel before and have never been asked for a cash deposit or security deposit for that matter. Horrible experience at check in.

They kicked me out for "smoking in my room" even though I told them it wasn't me & that I was sleeping before they walked in. They wouldn't give me a refund on the nights that I wouldn't be there after kicking me out of my room
Showers throughout were messed up , I would shower and the shower from the room above would leak . Could not fill tub without it leaking on to the next room . Left valuables on accident and their response was "there's nothing we could do about it "
I had horrible experience. Don't go there. It was a nightmare

Motel is completely renovated and super clean. Every room has a fridge and microwave. The bed was great, we had a good night sleep. Hotel staff was great. Location was very close to Coronado island where I was going to the beach and also it was very close to downtown and harbor. Motel is next to 7/11 gas station but it was OK, we didn't experience any problems. So neighborhood is totally ok, very easy access to freeway. Overall we had great experience staying at this motel and will definitely stay again.
Expectations at first were not high. On arrival we were glad to be surprised. It seemed to be recently renovated with modern choice in updates. New appliances include small fridge and microwave. Ironing board in room, no iron though. Our room had balcony enough to fit 10 standing. Clean and Comfortable. Continental breakfast. My wife did not complain about one thing. Score for me and saved money.?
