It's a nice hotel with a great cleaning staff that is very helpful and friendly. Lots of renovations going on during our stay. It felt like only 1 of the 3 elevators were active. Our neighbors were rowdy every night into the early mornings. Watchout for the $25 per night "self" parking fee.

They charged me $25 to park and $10 for in room wi fi for a hotel that is remodeling the lobby. I won't stay there again. The room was nice.

the room was quiet ,and the bed comfortable ,he previous guests sweaty odor lingered in the room, the coffee tray had not been refilled ,breakfast was adequate

toilet had no water due to conservation i guess. this made me feel extremely uncomfortable using the toilet facility. only one bar of soap. paper was in the toilet when i checked in.room too small. carpet did not seem to match bedroom decor.water did not get hot. bed made me itch. self parking spaces for my suv were too small.

My entire party was very pleased with my hotel selection. It was very comfortable and clean and we arrived to refreshing beverages daily.

The hotel was in a great location and you can walk to Mission Valley. Friendly staff and clean rooms. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a hotel in a great location. Also has a nice pool! Always a plus!

I stayed here while traveling for fun. The hotel is centrally located, but there is nothing really within walking distance. Just large businesses and buildings. The VA building is across the street. My room overlooked the freeway and parking lot. I could hear people talking in the adjacent rooms and the t.v.s going. The balcony has no seating (not that you want to sit and look at the freeway anyway). They charge $4 for a bottle of water, extra charge for internet and extra charge for parking. This is bogus because there really is no place else to park. I opted for the valet as it cost $30/night and the self park is $25/night. So for the extra $5 what the heck. Well, the valet closes at 10pm...so if you go out for dinner and come back after that, no valet. If your car is in the valet and you want to leave after 10pm, you have to go to the front desk and they basically just give you back your keys and you go get the car yourself anyway. What a jip. Then at 6am there was a loud bang and a generator or engine kicked on making a huge racket and foul smell. I fould out later this was some cleaning truck outside spray cleaning carpets or something. I like the clean, just not at 6am!! For a Marriott I really expected more.

Everything is good the only complain is that the front desk staff gave me a bad view room otherwise everything is great

Staff was great and very helpful with special needs accommodations. Marriott will be my first hotel if choice!

We traveled between Downtown and Tierrasanta, so this hotel was a good fit. Relatively close to both. Nice place, room was well-appointed. Noisy kids in the room next to us, walls seemed thin, we could hear cartoons and screaming at 6:30am. Not what you want in the early morning, especially if you don't have kids and were up late.

No free internet. $18/day to park onsite. They don't tell you that you can park on the street for free. We parked on the street but still had daily parking on our bill! There was free coffee and tea in the lobby for the first 2 days but then the coffee girl came back from vacation and we had to buy it.

Booked for 3 nights over a weekend. Have a family of 4 with two young children. Upon arrival was told the pool was closed for a remodel. Nowhere did I see that the pool was closed when booking or I would have looked elsewhere. They had arrangements made at another hotel to share the pool along with a shuttle that ran from 11-5. This did my family zero favors as we spent the day enjoying San Diego and didn't return until after 5 everyday. When I asked the front desk about our options they offered a cab but this did us no good because of our small children needing car seats. The icing on the cake for me was being forced to valet our car because they were refinishing their parking lot. The two times I needed the car I called ahead as they suggest and headed downstairs. We spent over 45 minutes waiting for the valet service to find our keys and then locate our car all the while trying to make me feel like it was my fault. I booked a marriot hoping for the typical marriot service and received none. I don't mind paying extra for the service but when it's not there I get frustrated. I will now look to other chains when traveling because this experience was so bad.

The hotel was very accommodating. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was close to the tram so it was easy to get around for only $5 a day for that ran and all the bus ride you want we cheaper than the taxis. We upgraded to the concierge so it comes with a free breakfast.

The stay could have been better if a continental breakfast were offered.

I loved the hotel. I liked the fact that it had nice gym and great machines to workout on. I had a great experience and will definitely stay there again if I go to San Diego.

I did not receive the King room I had booked and nothing was offered to accommodate or compensate for that.

It was a great mini vacation for my family. My kids really love the pool.

Enjoyed my time here. Really great staff. VERY clean room.

Arrived at this hotel and noticed how it is nearby many chain restaurants and mall/shopping strips. Check in was smooth and easy. Lobby (with complimentary wifi) was decent. Three elevators were right behind the front desk. Hallways are a little small. Room is decent, just a tad bit small. Rooms could use a few more easily accessible outlets and a master light switch. Bathroom has no vent. Those were all minor complaints. Gym is decent. Pool looks nice, they said it was heated, but when I touched the water, it didn't feel heated. Parking was plenty. Hotel was no more than 10-15 minutes from Hilcrest, Gaslamp, La Jolla, Pacific Beach. Would stay again. Overall, great stay.

The service was incredible ! Every person working on the premises makes certain your stay is perfect in every way. It took 5 mins to check in. Was able to check in early. They have complementary chilled water with fresh strawberries daily. Fresh oranges and apples, complimentary. Gym has earphones, again complimentary. Wall St Journal, u guessed it ! Housekeeping professional and fills every request promptly. Incredible pool with many chaise lounge chairs. A hot tub. Workout room with several machines. Laundry available for guests ( did not use, nice for families). Nice gift shop. Efficient elevators. Great upscale sports bar and restaurant. Professional staff, wonderful food. Several stores, restaurants within walking distance. A "trolley" (above ground train) that takes you to more shopping and attractions. Recommend Super Shuttle to and from airport $12 per person (each way). Front Desk will set up with just 1 call. I honestly have only good things to say about my stay !Highly recommend ! Wonderful experience!
