Great hotel and staff. Near local shopping, dining, and about 15 minutes from LaJolla Shores.

I had a very unfortunate experience! This a beautiful place to stay in and enjoy La Jolla, Ca. My biggest complain would be the parking sensors and card readers. When I checked in the people behind the front desk "added " the whole day parking pass for $39.99. I was charged for something that never worked!! At the time of leaving the hotel the card reader wouldn't accept my room key and I was forced to pay the fee although I had already been charged the whole day amount at the time of check in!! That was a pain and a waste of money.

Its a fine hotel, close to UCSD. Great price for a close room - but the overnight valet charge of $38 is a jolt. Probably still worth it though.

Beautiful hotel with all the amenities, great staff, full workout facilities. Easy drive to the beach

TV is horrible, had to call tech service, $18 daily for Parking is over the top. Breakfast is outstanding but who knows its on the 15th floor? No FAN in the bathroom. Would be nice to have some toothpaste since flying restricts that so one has to shop at CVS before the stay.

Jorge at the front desk provided a great welcome experience and excellent customer service

We moved here from another hotel that we booked and that hotel was horrible. I guess everything happens for a reason because this hotel, Marriott La Jolla was AWESOME! The staff was friendly and helpful in every way. Room was spacious and clean and very comfortable! We will come back here again! Thank you Marriott La Jolla!

Good restaurants close by, access to interstates is good, excellent staff, the open air restaurant is well designed, good food & bar.

In this day and age, charging for internet is unacceptable. When go to breakfast, they ask you whether you would like an orange juice and cofee. They never mentioned orange juice is $5 and coffee is $3. It is not the pricing but these additional fees that are unacceptable.

When i booked through orbits.com there was no indication or disclosure that parking fee at hotel was $28-- even When I arrived & checked in, I was not informed by hotel clerk that Parking fee was 28-- he simply asked "are you parking at hotel parking lot"--/ there was No Disclodure of $28 parking fee-- I will Never stay there again or will I revommend it to any one -- Orbitz, you need to disclose parking fees at hotels when customers book!!!!!!! What kind of business do u run???

Noisy and busy, not my type of hotel, feel very corporate and not a vacation place

We booked in for a good price, but they try to gouge you on everything else. $25 a day parking, $12.95 for Internet! Who charges for wifi? Overall, really nice place.

Parking too expensive.breakfast not included.overpriced

Lots of issues. Go elsewhere as there are many options really close. If I could rewind time and do it over - I would.

NOT FOR FAMILIES Very disappointing stay. We chose this hotel because we have had great experiences at other Marriotts. Rooms are small, NOTHING commonly provided at hotels is included: -No coffee in room. $8 per cup +$3 delivery. Are you kidding me??? -WiFi is $15/day -Parking is additional $25/day! And they act like it's your fault for deciding to drive here! -Room with 2 Double beds includes ONE robe, 2 bath towels and one hand towel. -No free continental breakfast. If you order one its $15/person and includes one pastry, one cup of juice, and one cup of coffee. What??? -Other room service items come a la cart. Steak; $33. You want sides? $5 each. -Movies? Nope. $17 each for old movies. There is news or ESPN provided and the reception is horrible. -Staff seems rigid and afraid. Like their boss is watching them to make sure they don't provide anything to guests. -Pool is nicely heated but very small. No hot tub. -No lounge or restaurant for grabbing evening drinks or breakfast. You must order the obscenely overpriced room service or go out for everything. Soooo inconvenient with kids! -Far from the beach, in a business park/uninviting area PROS: if you were single on a business trip maybe this place would work. There is a nice gym and 21+ lounge on weekend nights. FINAL OPINION: would never come back. Too many other options.

Very beautiful hotel. Very surprised at the decor and style. As a member of Marriott rewards we are familiar with the great service. This hotel continues with our tradition, we were impressed with the little touches such as being greeted by our names when calling for room service. The breakfast and hospitality was great. The only things I have to say was I had to call 3 times for extra towels and there was a small stain on the side of my bed sheets in my hotel room. I still would recommend just because it was a very nice hotel.

Services are limited. Smaller rooms. Very expensive parking fee for the location. Even though we prepaid the parking fees, the card never worked when exiting the parking lot. Every time we had to push the "call for help" button, wait couple of minutes (blocking cars behind us) before the gate opened. This happened even when there was an attendant at the booth and he also pushed the "call for help" button instead of opening the gate for us. We reported this at the reception and every time they said it will work now and it did not.

Nice hotel located close to UCSD. Rooms excellent and the front desk staff were very accommodating. Beware of the restaurant especially of the buffet - charging $19 for a very small buffet that had minimal fruit and prepared foods. Took a long time to get items from the main menu and the staff in the restaurant were disjointed in their service but were very possessive of their sections. There are many better choices to eat just steps from the hotel.

Wonderful guest service from all the staffs. I will surly come back to this hotel
