Rodeway Inn Oceanside

The rooms are small and old. The towels and sheets were nice. No coffee in the room. The pool was not heated, but nice to sit bye. Very close to all the freeways. Close to the beach and restaurants.

Spent a week with my Marine son and daughter who lived on base. The Coast Hwy location is very convenient for transportation to and from San Diego and Camp Pendleton. The room was fair to ok. Could use some upgrades, but was clean and the price was right $$. "Continental Breakfast" was just coffee, juice and cereal. We found some good restaurants nearby. The only real complaint was the non-existent hot water, it was lukewarm at best. If you are looking for inexpensive sleeping quarters, it fits the bill. If you need more, then you need to spend more.

I had a bad experience with my key card to open the door

Staff was very good and welcoming. There was burger place right across the street and several other restaurants are in the area as well...

Clean, quiet, large room. Includes fridge/microwave

I loved how close it was to Camp Pendleton rooms were clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was very rude when we came to check in. It wasn't a nice can o help you it was rudely stated. Another lady came out and was a little bit more friendly.

The hotel itself was very basic. It was dated, but the room was large. Hotel staff were less than enthusiastic- very abrupt. Breakfast was definitely lacking, having only oatmeal and dry cereal. Good only for a nights sleep on our way to our next destination, not much more.

Hotel was ok for the price. Would consider another place next time.

The best part is the location. Within walking distance to the Pier and the Harbor. Room was clean and comfortable. Good value for the money.

Our family stays here every time we travel to Oceanside. Great value, great location, not fancy at all. Sometimes the front desk people are kind of rude though.

I would have to say that overall it was a good place nothing extravagant except the fact it was right down by the ocean everything was close and a great place for the buck

Hotel was dirty, loud and in a bad area, not in walking distance to the water. There was dirty diapers in the hallway our first night, our toilet didn't flush well and something kept backing up in our sink. To top off the end of the trip there was a homeless man sleeping in the hallway. It was only my bf and I, do not bring children here!

The hotel wasn't bad for the price. Location was good, I was able to walk down to the pier. Service was friendly and the room was clean and comfy.

I was pleasantly surprised, the hotel is located on a major highway, yet my room was perfectly quiet. I also enjoyed the large flat panel TV with lots of free cable channels.

I always stay at rode way inn everytime I go to oceanside, great location, lots of parking clean room safe & easy acces to everything.

I love staying here, as it's perfectly located near the Oceanside Marina, has cheap rooms and friendly and helpful service. It's really all you need for a great stay on a budget. The rooms are what you expect for a cheaper place, however, they are larger than usual which is a nice plus. They also include a fridge and a large flatscreen with cable. What more could you want? Easy 20 minute walk to the Pier / Downtown, or 10 minutes to the Marina. Freeway right next door, Coco's for breakfast across the street, and other than that there is nothing for miles but a great view. Only downside is the beds are pretty saggy, they've needed to replace the mattresses eons ago and never have, and the bathrooms have no ventilation. But hey, for this price, and with everything else you get, who's complaining? You can pay more and get better, but I can't afford to and anyway I'd rather spend my money on fun with friends than on a hotel I'm in only to sleep. For what you get, this place is perfect.

Love the location near i5 and 76. Near the ocean and a lot to offer for dinning at the marina. We enjoyed our 1st floor room, felt like our personal cabana with a private patio where we were able to park our car right out side our patio. This place will be our exclusive hotel to stay at when visiting family in San Diego

Clean rooms, everything worked well. Great location (close to the Oceanside Harbor Days where we were vendors), close to the beach, marina, and downtown. Even a pirate and mermaid out front. But the continental breakfast had the least offerings I've ever experienced with such a breakfast. Only cold cereal, instant oatmeal, milk (in a silver pitcher, with no label as to if it were whole, skim, or somewhere in between), juice, apples, and coffee. Maybe tea too, I didn't check. No pastries, toast, muffins, bananas, oranges, or yoghurt that I usually see at other hotels. After we ate some oatmeal, and drank some coffee, feeling very unsatisfied, we got some great breakfast burritos at a little drive-thru just a little south on the Coast Hwy. Though it was a little more expensive, we had chosen this hotel over some of the cheaper ones, because it offered breakfast and was closer to the beach. We thought having breakfast at the hotel would save us time in the morning, but instead we had to rush about to get breakfast elsewhere before heading over to open our booth for the day.

Was there with my niece to see her husband who a Navy Corp man so location was great. Did see couple of people who appeared to be little unhinged....meaning screaming and yelling profanities to no one in particular. So when we got back to hotel that night and it was all dark I called front desk about front door lights not working....they did fix the room next to me so that lit up mine. So happy again, having to kill the ants in the sink and on the toilet everyday was a little much! So if ants don't bother you its a close location to front gate at Pendleton....if little things bug you pay another 10 or 20 bucks

Our family makes a trip out to Oceanside every other month or so. We've stayed in 7 or 8 different budget hotels and motels. Rodeway Inn is our new favorite. Initally, I was turned off by the outside of the building. It looks... old. Very old. However, we were all pleasantly surprised once we got into our rooms. The bathrooms are updated (no mold or old filth in crevices), the beds are comfortable, the carpet is still soft and clean, theres' a fridge, microwave, and a convenient place to drop and dry wet swimsuits. Is it luxurious? No. Is it better than what expected for the price I paid? Absolutely! I only wish the beach was in walking distance. But the pool was nice.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to post a review. We pride ourselves on delivering a memorable hotel experience during your travels, we unfortunately fell short of our goal during your stay. We are sorry our breakfast offering was not up to your expectations and for the less than hospitable behavior of our staff. We take your comments to heart and learn from them. Once again, thank you for your valued feedback, and we hope to serve you again whenever your travels bring you back to the Oceanside area. Sincerely, Mona Patel General Manager General Manager
