Not well managed. Overcrowded. Meals overcrowded. Not ample parking. Several maintenance needs.

Exactly what we were looking for. Perfect for our family. Great shops and restaurants right down the street.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast in a pleasant room with lots of space.

Nice hotel except for one thing. The $18/night parking charge was too much and unnecessary. It's one of those add on charges that leaves a bad taste at the end. I can understand if a hotel in downtown wants to extort parking fees but this was in La Jolla. Otherwise a nice place overall.

Good place to stay, close to the university, clean, good breakfast. On the downside was rather noisy heater/air conditioner an the need to pay $15 for parking. If you come early enough, you may leave your car on the street with no fee.

It was good and close to the Conference I was attending

This hotel is perfect location for working with UCSD and/or the Medical Center. Room is large and very comfortable. Can be loud at times with so many families staying there. My biggest issue was the painfully slow internet. I actually walked to Starbucks several times as the wifi at the hotel made work impossible.

All was great. Good location relative to UCSD. Breakfast was OK, not great.

The hotel staff were friendly, but the rooms were dingy, the furniture had holes in them and we could not find a place to park when we came back from dinner. The room next to us had over 10 kids staying in it and there were 2 guys sitting on the steps smoking. Making rude comments to My teenage grand daughters. Made me feel real uncomfortable. I did not contact the staff.

The hotel is perfectly located near the UC San Diego campus. The breakfast is fantastic, and the room is spacious. Having the fridge and microwave in the room is really handy.

We had a family trip for four days, and we really like the kitchen that we can prepare food for the kids. The breakfast is awesome. My daughter loved to clime up and down the stairs in the family suite. The only thing we don't like is there is no door to the room in the family suite. We will book the penthouse next time.

We had a great stay at this hotel with all we needed available nearby

The location is perfect for the major businesses in the area. It is a nice place where people do relax. The price was steep given the style of the accommodations.

Above average free breakfast. Was expecting a two room room but it was more lime a studio.

Stayed here with family - 3 adults & 2 kids. We got a room with 3 queen beds, 2 on lower level with bathroom and one in loft with its own bathroom. The bathrooms were clean, the beds fairly comfortable. Small kitchen area was great, we used the fridge & microwave, plus the plates/glasses/silverware. The pool is not too big, but kids enjoyed it. Several hot tubs across all of the property. It seemed like mostly business people staying there, so it was nice & quiet. We also enjoyed the included breakfast - definitely enough to choose from. The location was perfect for us -close to a little shopping area, plus easy to get to attractions such as beach, aquarium, zoo. The only detracting items were that the couch & chair in the room had some wear, plus a piece of wallpaper coming off in the upper bathroom. Would definitely stay again.

Had a great time. The staff was very accommodating and insightful! Very clean property!

This is a great location for business or pleasure. The food is a nice feature although the noise in the dining room gets to be a little much.

helpful staff, good breakfast, and wonderful happy hour.

I was visiting a cousin down at UCSD so I picked this hotel, as its location is walking distance from the campus. The first few nights are very good, as the room is very clean, comfortable, and QUIET. However, after a few nights, another group of guests came in and lived upstairs above our room, and thats when the fun ends. The floor sound insulation at the hotel is quite bad, and what made the matter worse was that the family staying upstairs had KIDS, so they're just running around the room, and the foot thumping noise is just driving me crazy...called the counter to file complain but to no avail. So, in conclusion, if you were to choose this place to stay, which I would recommend still because of its friendly staff, clean / comfy room and nice free breakfast, try to ask for an upstair's room.

The room have a sofabed and a king bed, and the amenities in kitchen allows us to cook. The location is good, in walking distance we could find a supermarket and also UCSD is very near to the hotel.
