CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT VERY FRIENDLY AND ANYTHING WE ASKED FOR SHE HELPED WITH.

Our room was really in need of some updating. Call the hotel and get a price before you book through Orbitz because my aunt got a room for half the price by showing up same day as me and just checking in.

We were able to check in to our hotel right at 3pm (check in time), and our room was relatively clean. The floor is laminate to look almost like hardwood, but since it's laminate it was scuffed up from use of suitcases and the like. The room itself was really small, but it was functional and served it's purpose. The bedding was clean, the drawers and hangers beside the bed came in handy, as well as the outlets on both sides of the beds. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. We used the fridge for our dinner leftovers, which is always a plus. Neither of us drink coffee, but we used the coffee maker to make hot water for oatmeal (I don't always like the options available at continental breakfasts). The only thing I have to complain about that is that it seemed as if nobody had cleaned out the water reservoir in the coffee maker in a long time. It had a brown film that covered the bottom half of the reservoir. Didn't make me feel comfortable using it for my oatmeal, but I couldn't microwave the styrofoam cups they provided as an alternative, so it was my only choice. The continental breakfast was basic, some pastries, small yogurt cups, but they had a waffle maker (we didn't have time to make waffles by the time we got up). The continental breakfast was available on a Sunday morning from 7am-10am. The bathroom was relatively clean, just the floor of the tub/shower looked dirty. Towels were thin.

The hotel itself has a decent location to pacific beach, but that's where it ends. The staff is nice, though I only had contact with the front desk gal. Our room was unclean and outdated. We had a couple bugs that looked like a roach/beetle of some sort. But the worst thing was that you could hear everything the upstairs room did. Every time they walked across the floor it sounded like a heard of cattle. Needless to say I slept maybe 4 hours before the noise kept me awake. I will never stay here again. It was cheap and that's why I chose it. But I would rather pay extra.

Nice stay. Close to the beach. Staff was friendly. Nice breakfast. The stay was nicer than having to fill out all these surveys from orbits

Very nice upgraded rooms. Staff extra nice! Great location

We couldn't find a hotel with a reasonable price except for red roof inn. We walked in to find a very small room. No problem but after settling in we found that there was a pool of water in the bedroom. We were too tired to change rooms.

Good location if your trying to save a buck! Loud on outside but quiet at night. Breakfast situated in a room converted to dining area. Food was ok, nice lady making waffles was a plus.

Lol ...seriously thy hav zero security, i was watching the olymlics late and opened my door to catch some air and a DUDE CAME THRU MY DOOR .....need i say more ...i am still here so i guess hes in a happy place now . Always be prepared when traveling in cali and san diego, either spend extra or plan on locking yourself up in ur room .....i would never suggest my mom stay there not that she would ..lol ...kind of rundown ...but nice rooms ...bring your Fight Club shoes and attitude

Small rooms. The rooms have a stench to them. Saw some small cockroaches. I booked this hotel because the website showed pictures of a pool but when I got there, no pool. You get what you pay for!

We had 3 roache's in our room and could hear people walking above us till 3 in the morning. No parking spaces had to park in the street. The front desk lady was very kind and gave us 20% off for our stay.

This is the second review I'm writing because orbitz refused my first one. Small space rooms, there was a huge gap under our door. The next morning we found a giant roach in the bathroom. When we told management they causally said it just came from outside. They have an issue they aren't willing to address. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere to stay.

I've stayed here before and it's a-ok. I like that it has pergo floors and is pet friendly. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Bed is cozy and room is somewhat modern. Bathrooms could use some help, paint was chipping and I found knats on some towels. I was on the 1st floor near the street so didn't get any sleep because of how noisey it was. But hotel can't help that. Overall, it was ok for 1 night. I wouldn't stay longer though.

Gpod trip. Convenient. Friendly staff. Will come back.

There were no bath towels in the room. There were no hot paper cups to use with the in room coffee maker. Beds were comfortable.

Easy check in and out . Room was nice, but bed wasn't comfy and room was tiny. Location was good 10 mins from a few things. Best thing about hotel was my four legged daughter (pet) stayed free. Hotel also has a little dog area for them to do their business:)

To start with the positive, the staff were accommodating and tried to make things right within their ability to do so. For the negatives I need to preface this by saying that I almost always stay at hotels that are basic amenity or small mom and pop motels. I don't need fancy, but I do need clean, and this motel was the worst I think I have ever stayed in with regard to ‘clean’. Specifically, all of the rooms our group booked (some from different third party sites and some straight through the motel) had black marks and black hair (some long black hairs) between the sheets, tub was filthy with long black hair in it and when I looked at the socks I had on they had short black curly hairs on them from walking around the main room floors which are laminate. Every bedspread was stained (source not apparent). Same story when we changed rooms except the tub was a little cleaner. Second issue, and really the most concerning, was related to safety. When we pulled in there were police cars everywhere and we heard them saying they were looking for a bullet in the car they were inspecting in the parking lot that belonged to an older couple. Staff saying that it was a domestic quarrel and that the police had determined that the irate significant other had just broken out the car window. Of note, however, one of our Uber drivers told us that there had been police cars there the night before when he drove by at 1am. These are not things that inspire a feeling of safety and security.

If you are looking for an affordable hotel in a convenient location, consider this hotel. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable.

We booked a Deluxe Queen Room . . . . well that's about all there was in the room, a queen bed. By the time we brought in our luggage, we were tripping over each other (2 adults)! After 6 hours in the car, this was NOT going to work. After talking to the front desk and to our booking site, we were able to move to a 2 Double Bed room (at an increased charge) which was far roomier. We were there for 4 nights, but there was little furniture in the room two beds, a dresser/desk/tv table and two night stands. No closet. This is an older hotel, recently refurbished, but the rooms are just too small for an extended stay. Probably will not be going there again.

Really enjoyed our stay. We had a small problem with a leaky bathtub, but over all I was very happy with our stay. I left behind a sweater and was happy to find they had held it for me.
