Rancho Bernardo Inn San Diego - A Golf and Spa Resort

Walls must have been made out of paper. I could hear the heard of elephants above us. The a/c didn't cool the room down. The mini fridge had to be shut off so we could sleep. There were people partying in a room close by. Resort staff tried to quiet them but the didn't shut up. We almost packed and left at 2am. Resort discounted our stay. Staff was great though. I would not say this is s $300 a night resort.

My room had an ant problem...it was ground floor in one of the suite areas in a wooded area near the golf course. Other than that, it met expectations

The pools were not crowded, so my kids really enjoyed that. They offer tents in the room for kids and s'mores by the pool that you can make over the fire.

The resort is beautiful and really lived up to the photos we saw online. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. It was a bit of a drive to do anything close to downtown but for the price and amenities it was worth it. Our girls loved the family pool, little mini golf area, and wondering the grounds to see all of the fountains. The only thing I wanted was more casual dining in the evenings. They have a coffee shop and a pool side grill but both were usually closed by the time we got back to the resort at night. The nicer restaurants are beautiful and were open but with two young kids they were not the best options.

Great staycation. Only 20 minutes away but feels like you are on a true vacation.

I had really nice experience in this place. I chose to stay here to go Wild animal park with my family and it was really nice decision. The staff was kind and he was willing to offer nice room overlooking golf course, and the room was clean and the place was good to have a relax. I will definitely stay here again if I go animal park or other places near this hotel.

Room facing golf course was really nice. Staffs were really nice too. I really enjoyed staying in here.

The staff is very friendly. I felt welcomed wherever I went. It's kind of family oriented service. The hotel is safe and secure which I took a walk at night without concern.

there was a party next to us that did not get closed until 2 am and we were very tired. the staff was nice, the pool was not as warm as they say and it was small. kids had a good time

Rancho Bernardo is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff and an excellent restaurant. When we arrived, there was a wedding going on and the guests were somewhat loud and inebriated. We asked to move our room, but the hotel was full. As a courtesy, they treated us to a great dinner in their restaurant. My daughter loved the family pool, and we enjoyed traveling just a short distance to the San Diego Safari Park. We stayed for four nights and came home well rested and happy.

It was absolutely beautiful, kid friendly, comfortable bed and amazing views. I must say the check out process was a little slow. Otherwise fantastic!

My family and I had a fantastic and relaxing time at the inn. The hotel is beautiful with nicely manicured landscape, breakfast at the veranda was delicious, and great spa and golf amenities. the all ages pool was a bit crowded though but understandably so since we stayed through the July 4th weekend. Also there is no elevator to get to our room but it was a minor issue. we will definitely be back!

Very nice lobby, restaurants, pool, spa, etc. Rooms a little tired. There was broken glass outside our room when we checked in and empty glasses in a planter for days. Water leaking down wall in the bathroom. Light bulbs out. The place is very nice and perfectly comfortable, but they need to take a little better care of it.

We loved it...beautiful grounds, nice people...we WILL go back there!

we stayed in the rooms overlooking the golf course, a good large space with very nice diagonally placed bed and a decent balcony. the vibe of the hotel is very nice, laid back but classy. the golf course is pretty but the condition is just ok and the pace of play was horrible the day we played. the only negative was that the main restaurant is closed for renovation, but the bar and patio restaurants were great. we liked the area too, some good restaurants and nice hiking. would definitely recommend.

Rancho Bernardo Inn is a great place to relax for a day or two. Large rooms with great views. Very good spa. Good restaurants. Close enough to San Diego to keep you busy

Fantastic staff, beautiful place, excellent for a relaxing meeting. We were here for an all business meeting and were not able to utilize the pool or golf for lack of time. Felt the activity fee of $20 plus 10 for self parking was unnecessary. Internet was slow.

This was a family mini vacation over Thanksgiving. Staff was very nice and pleasant. The Concierge was very helpful to find a beach and get us down toward Mission Beach area.

My husband and I were staying for our anniversary. The hotel was nice, but despite their best efforts, the place still has a 70's vibe to it. The restaurants/bars are very expensive and you are far from any other dining options. A bit too remote for us. The staff was helpful and friendly. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Would recommend it for golfers and weddings....

golf was very convenient and enjoyable as well as well priced i would return
