Was clean and super close to Point Loma and ocean beach

This hotel is older, but well kept. No carpet in rooms is a plus. Walking distance to harbor and Shelter Island. We walked to dinner every night.

You didn't set paper cup one day. But others are good service for me. Thank you.

Okay, the good news is it's near the airport and the bay... The bad news: I don't know if everyone has the same room but the one we were assigned (and told we could upgrade from for $50) was so small it barely fit the beds; you could not get to the vanity sink without hitting the exposed closet rack, the tub was dinged and old with dark hair on the wall (yech). It was even smaller than normal as the old elevator (complete with painted over grafitti and carvings) seemed to be incurring into the rooms square footage. The room had been repainted over the dinged and damaged trim work and, once again, the actual price was not what was advertised on Orbitz... Really not what I expect of Ramada.

Nice hotel close to my friends & close to restaurants & shops. Great walking around the waterfront. I had a nice stay.

Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Hotel was old, but kept up well. Breakfast was nice. Wish more coffee was in room. Liked having the mini fridge and microwave available.

Friendly staff easy check in no line it was more than perfect. awesome location. I had room with belcony o effect view.

front desk person friendly reservation in order check in ok . room was good bathroom was a little rough.we were on 1st floor and had a lot of noise from upstairs. ran fan on a/c unit second night to cover noise. just me and my brother this time probably would select a better hotel if wife on trip.

Great location near the airport. Staff was extremely servant hearted. Shuttle was right on time. The concession had a wide range of beers and wine. Nice restaurants in walking distance. We'll stay here every time we have an early morning flight from SAN.

A nice, average hotel for a decent price. Great for visiting my son for a few days.

Everything is "there" but it just doesn't work. The (very loud) air conditioner is pointing at the head of the bed, so to keep the room cool, I had to stack pillows in front of me. There is no restaurant in the hotel nor in easy walking distance. They do have microwavable food in a cooler, along with snacks, drinks, etc... but you have to use cash to purchase... so it took the last of my set-aside "tip money" to have dinner. They were passably pleasant at the desk... The refrigerator was a nice size and quiet... there was a safe in the room. The bed was quite comfortable and free wifi...

The place was crawling with people you don't want your family near. Very creepy place. Better paying a little bit more and staying at the holiday inn close by.

It is deceiving.....older looking hotel with average curb appeal but rooms are renovated and very nice. It is right across the street from harbor so very quick walk to local restaurants. If you can get past the looks of the building this is nice little hidden gem. Considering the price....outstanding.

I already submitted another review of this but forgot a couple of other details. The room and the entire floor we stayed on had a smell of dirty wash rags and diapers, almost like a convalescent home smell. The room itself had the same smell and especially in the rooms. I booked two rooms for our family and both had all the same conditions, I even looked at another room besides these and it had all the same conditions. They offered to move one of us not both and didn't offer to keep us together as this is what we requested prior to arriving. I told them that I've already looked at another room and it has the same issues, this place is run down and they haven't updated it in a while. The drain smelled and wouldn't drain properly in all three rooms we looked at. The toilets didn't flush either with just fluid in them. So this was the worse place I've ever seen and they make what is commonly known as cheaper hotels look like a Taj Mahal in comparison.

beat up old school motel
