Everything was fine. I especially appreciate if there was no carpet in the room. Some type of hardwood laminate. Much cleaner. I have no idea why hotels put carpet in rooms when they get so dirty looking so fast.
Room smelled bad. Furnishings were in bad shape. Cigarette burns on the sheets. Bathroom shower had been coated and coating was coming off. Overall room was not worth the rate I paid.
A kerfuffle at check in because I was early and told in no uncertain terms that check-in was not until 3p. Seeing rooms being cleaned I asked if I could a room when it was available. This seemed to bother the women at the counter who kept repeating that I was not owed a check-in until 3p. She finally relented and everything was fine after that. The rest of the stay was pro forma. Standard room and amenities including a large fridge and useful microwave. Good bed and bath fixtures, though I will never understand why more motels do not install optional hand showers; they are cheap and easy to add on. Parking is tight. The location is good with easy access to the freeway system. Attractions in and around San Diego are about 10-15 minutes away (except rush hour). Breakfast is decent including a pancake maker; staf is more than pleasant and friendly.

Though the hotel is a 2 star for a humble person such as myself I didn't see anything wrong. The bathroom is very spacious and for those who may need a little support there is a rail in the shower as well. You can even sit while showering. I liked how the toilet and shower were in one room while the sink was in another. It allows easy access and counter space for all my makeup. There is an ice machine and buckets are provided for easy transport. Safety features such as door the automatically locks behind you and a latch for extra protection made me feel comfortable even when alone. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. The maids go above and behind and I've never heard the word no from them. All my questions were answered. Breakfast is provided every morning. I would go back again if I could. No complaints. The queen sized bed, a place to study, and large TV only put the icing on top.

The motel was older and looked like it needed some updating, but this was more than made up for by the very friendly and helpful staff. The front desk and housekeeping staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. Great air conditioning. Once checked in, I found that everything was fairly up to date. Breakfast was good but they ran out of food and it was not replaced.
...Nice hotel. A bit too far from the place and friends were I was hanging out BUT close to the highways and not to far away from the airport for a cab. Closest Starbucks, grocery store, etc was about a 10 dollar cab ride way..that was sort of inconvenient...but all in all.... 9 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Good location and close to the Zoo, Balboa Park, Mission Bay and LegoLand. The manager was very helpful. We booked a 3 day trip but they let us book a 4th on short notice and kept us in the same room.
My family visited San D iego for a short vacation and a visit for my son in the navy. The hotel was a great location and the price is whithin the family budget.
Staff was very personable. Room was a good deal for the $$$. Cont. Breakfast was good, but more fruit would have been nice (had only 3 oranges & nothing else). Centrally located if you are visiting in the South Bay area, and some what near downtown, Sea World, Zoo, etc... Location was hard to find initially, better directions would be appriciated. Matresses were newer but hard. Parking stalls were way too narrow (had to climb thru hatchback to get into car the next morning). But overall, it was a good value.
