We purchase a package which included breakfast but we ended paying an overpriced buffet breakfast for our two children 6 and 7 years who don't eat much.

Clean, quite, excellent staff, excellent service and breakfast

From the moment we pulled up we knew we were staying somewhere special. The valet staff kindly helped us out of our car and a bellman quickly loaded our luggage and promptly took it up to our room. Check in was a breeze. We were greeted by name throughout our stay and everyone we encountered was friendly and willing to help. The room was perfect. Not over the top, but very comfortable and plenty of room for a family of 4. We requested a crib for our 1 year old and they quickly brought us one. Also, each night they set up the sofa bed for our 5 year old. My kids loved the pools. There is a main pool area and an Adult only area. They have a small 1 ft pool for smaller kids and I loved that my 1 year old could enjoy the water without having to hold her every second. They also have a splashpad. The food at the pool was just ok in my opinion but what was really fun was the gelato cart that we could buy a waffle cone from in the afternoon! The main reason we picked the Park Hyatt was the close proximity to Legoland. It's only a short 5 minute drive to Legoland and the Carlsbad outlets. There are several restaurants closeby and if you ask the concierge they will give you a list of recommended dinning options. The Park Hyatt Aviara staff was on point with service and the resort itself was very luxurious without being too pretentious. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this resort to anyone traveling to the Carlsbad area with kids.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities. Tennis courts, lawn games, beautiful pool, spa, fantastic entertainment at the bar, stunning lobby and outdoor patios overlooking the golf course and the gorgeous scenery in this part of Aviara. Staff was kind too! Nothing but praise for this great hotel! A fantastic value and a great area to vacation with a family.

The hotel was beautiful and definitely met you expectations. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and the views are amazing!!

We stayed at the Park Hyatt Aviara with our 2-year old for multiple days. The service at the hotel was consistently great. The concierge helped us a lot in advance with securing a crib and mini fridge in our room and on site they were a big help with restaurant reservations. The beach is just a 10 min drive away, along with lots of great restaurants. Also, they have separate adult and family pools that are beautiful and fun with killer views of hills and beach in the distance. We also visited Legoland (10 min drive) and the Sand Diego Safari park (40 min drive). I've stayed in a number of 5-star hotels and this hotel is a little worn. Also, I didn't care for the perfumy scent they pump into the lobby area. Overall, a great experience.

We were looking for a nice hotel near the Safari Park. This hotel lived up to its reputation as a 5 star resort. The staff were consistently very polite and accommodating. The hotel itself was beautiful. Our hotel room was spacious with a huge marble bathroom. The bathtub is really deep, which is unique. Our son enjoyed that. The grounds along the winding road leading to the main entrance were landscaped perfectly. We enjoyed poolside dining (drinks and food orders taken right at the pool). We ordered room service and it was great food. The breakfast buffet is awesome. Try the cronut.

This is our favorite hotel to get away and relax. Fabulous room, view, elegance, staff, etc. The only downside is the add on fees. Resort fee $ 25.00, valet parking $36.00, per diem. Why not just include these as part of the rate and make it simple? I would still book my room here anyway. It's that nice of a hotel. We will be back. :-)

I went with my new bride for a weekend getaway at the Aviara resort, and I was stunned at how loud the family pool was. I realize the hotel has to cater to families with young children for business, but our room was located overlooking the pool, and they allowed a father with his 4 kids to scream at the top of their lungs for 2 hours straight. Yes, they were playing chicken, but it was truly annoying and not restful at all. So if rest is what you want, do not stay near that pool. Also the hotel charges a resort fee to basically use the pool, and you have to pay for valet parking, so I found this kind of lame. Nice people, and pretty property, but I don't expect to return.

We all had such great. Some issues in the room but the staff took care of it right away

We stayed two nights here and had a great time. The thing that stood out the most was the service. From the moment you arrive, you feel pretty special. The valet staff, housekeeping staff, etc, always greeted us. The rooms were very nice, although it could have been a little cleaner. The big negative for this place is the price and all the fees. Valet parking is mandatory and the resort fee is high as well. I'm not sure why they don't just include it in the room rate. The fees go toward things like the fitness center, which Was probably the best hotel gym I've seen. Overall, it's a very nice place and we would definitely stay again (especially for a lower rate).

Very nice stay but expensive for the 10 hours I was there.

Enjoyed everything about the hotel.Although valet parking overnight was $35.00, everything else made up for it.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very attentive and professional. We especially liked the tranquility and the beautiful grounds. We just wanted to relax and that's what we did. We were also surprised by the resort's gift - a bottle of champagne and box of chocolates to celebrate our anniversary. One of the nicest resorts we have stayed at.

We arrived at this hotel as a last minute trip to Lego land. As soon as we pulled up we were impressed with the hotel. The hotel was beautifully done. the rooms were large and comfortable. The bed and comforters were more comfortable than what we have at home. My wife received a message that was amazing and my son had a blast at the pool and great (FREE) kids recreation room. My wife was informed by one of the staff that the hotel was originally built to be a Four Seasons, which makes perfect sense. The view from our room was great and every time we stepped onto the patio it smelled like fresh flowers. The Bathrooms are really nice. If you are in Carlsbad and enjoy nice hotels stay here. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Lego Land Hotel. It’s an overpriced nightmare. I believe their matrasses are made from recycled cardboard and couch springs. You have been warned.

I visited the area of Carlsbad to see my friend and family one last time before they travel home. I chose the resort for location. Previously, I stayed at a Park Hyatt in Tokyo. So, I was arriving with expectations. As for expectations being met or exceeded, staff is wonderful, venue is good. All in all, my expectations were not exceeded.. so perhaps next time.

The property itself is spacious, sleek, and elegant, but the most enduring impression is one of consistently outstanding customer service. If there is a five-star resort in the continental U.S. with a more professional, polished, and impressive staff, we've not found it. Although the hotel's driving distance from places like LaJolla village are longer than we'd like, this place makes the geography seem a small and acceptable sacrifice.

The hotel is amazing, staff cater to your every wish and everyone was very freindly. Note it gets expensive quick. Although you may get a cheap room everything has a price in the hotal and the prices aren't cheap. There is no self parking and they charge you $30/day for parking even though there is tonnes of space and it is located in the suburbs. Food and drink arent cheap and add up quick. If you are on a budget keep this in mind

My wife and I visited CA for the very first time this past weekend. We had so much fun and one of the best features of our trip was the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort. From the first moment you pull up, you know it is going to be great. The valet service was great. Room check-in was perfect. Our room was perfect with a beautiful view. We had Continental Breakfast each day, THIS WAS THE BEST EVER!!! We were stuffed! Our room was clean and tidy every day. Lobby Lounge had great food. The game room was fun and we loved the hot tub every night. Had it been warmer, I'm sure using the pool would have been great too, it looked awesome! Overall, this Resort had it all and we look forward to getting a chance someday to make it back.

This hotel originally opened several years ago as a Four Seasons resort, and we've been curious about it since it began carrying a Hyatt flag. Happily, the current facility still boasts a number of hallmarks of the exemplary Four Seasons standards, including truly extraordinary staff service (extending from parking attendants to even housekeeping personnel). The resort's pool areas are especially noteworthy (one of them reserved for adults-only). Restaurant quality is also superb, including a weekend brunch that might be somewhat less grand and ostentatious than other luxury hotels we've experienced but with food quality and creativity that easily surpasses most others we've tried around the world.
