I spent a week in this hotel and I was totally happy with my stay! It isn't fancy at all, but it's a nice affordable place in a very expensive city. I actually chose it because they are one of the few hotels who still have smoking rooms in California. That was my only real criteria, but I was VERY happy when I arrived. The room was big and clean, it's quiet, the staff are courteous and friendly, and it had the necessities. I was visiting my daughter who is stationed there and was working a lot of the time, so I spent a lot of alone time at the hotel. As a woman on her own, I felt very safe and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel! They have lots of non-smoking rooms as well, that are far away from the smoking rooms. The smoking rooms are actually an advantage to non-smokers, since people don't need to be outside smoking in the parking lot. iInever saw any smokers outside while I was staying there.

The area is VERY sketchy and not safe. I stayed by myself and felt extremely uncomfortable the entire night. There are several people in and out of the parking lot. Looks like drug deals were being made. Do not stay here!!!

I am from south america and I thinl it has a vero good location

Roughly at half an hour distance from Sea World. The rooms were clean and spacious. Had enough slots for charging the phones unlike other average hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast was good.

Very affordable, I was actually concerned with what type of room my wife and I were gonna get for the price, but we were both pleased. Room was dated and not modern.. But if you can get past that, it was clean, comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. We stayed for a few days and our room was always cleaned and restocked with fresh towels, coffee, soaps etc. on a daily basis. The room was big and comfortable. I definately would recommend this place if you are on a budget.

Very bad location, there are people who roam around the hotel in the nights and ask money. They look wild. The room I got is in a bad condition. Bedsheets were torn,TV does not get switched off in anyy means(like a ghost TV says receptionist),Phone doesn't work. Not at all worth a penny. AVOID IF YOU CAN!

The hotel was clean from the inside, this hotel is okay for adults to relax and watch T.V but not for kids, they were board, NO pool no nothing, and the sad thing is there is room for a pool, thats all.

the hotel is about average in everything but the staff need to improve and the services they provide were on point.

good location, quite clean, the breakfast is simple but acceptable

Clean & quiet right beside I-5 and bus route to downtown and $$$$ hotels in San Diego

A conference hotel on Coronado had sold out. (did not want to pay over $200 a night either). This one was about 15 minutes away. Was quite (especially being so close to I-5) The painters got a bit carried away during the last overhaul and could stand some cleaning up on the stray paint. The HBO guide was for the previous month, but I didn't have the inclination to watch TV anyway. Since it had some age, the room size was large and the water flow was high. With my schedule, did not have much interaction with the staff.

I've stayed here twice and both times they had everything very clean and were always super nice. The price is really great for what you get.

Its a good deal for the money charged. I went for New Year Eve and had good experience overall. Basic facilities are quite good and there are no frills (which are not useful anyway).

We booked this room for 8 days great time we had visiting family. My husband is handicap and the room especially bathroom was just great perfect couldn't of had a better staff friendly and did everything to lend a helping hand Thank you for making our Christmas Vacation extra special

My stay at this hotel was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The hotel was right off the freeway so it was very convenient to get to anyplace that I was going. I will definitely stay here again and again!

needed a place to stay for the night, clean room, comfortable bed for the night.

The ceiling in the shower had a large hole in it which exposed a large amount of mold. I let the desk clerk know and he said it had been like that for years saying "Yeah, our maitenance guy just never fixes it." There were cocaroaches in the bathroom and I found a spider in the bed...I'd have to tell anyone to LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

We were visiting Coronado Island and it was the closest least expensive place we could find. However, it was right by the freeway with lots of night noise. In addition, they are putting in new beds and origionally gave us a room full of the old beds and remodeling materials, so I had to go and exchange. The area is very poor and it made walking at night kind of scary.

The hotel check-in was fast and front desk personwas friendly and efficient. Room included microwave, cable TV,refrigerator, a very nice couch, and a small work desk. Everything worked and the room was very clean. Only problem was that there was a Cal State work crew which blocked the parking lot with their trucks at night. This is expected to last for the next three to four weeks. The crew also took up many of the rooms so the hotel was virtually full. The freeway exit puts you right in front of the property and it's only about 15-20 minutes to San Diego and 3 miles to the Mexican border. Other than that, it's a good value if you need to be in the area soutth of San Diego.
