They couldn't check me in. There was no manager available. I went to another hotel

Awesome service and comfort for its price.. shuttle service available also to and from airport.

Within walking distance to Old Town. Very quiet and comfortable.

This hotel not only smells but is not well taken care of! I got charged $11.00 more at the hotel after I thought I had confirmed that I no longer owed anything! That morning after we where woken up by house keeping, not good when your taking a vacation away from home the shower in the restroom was broken when I turned it on to shower it sprayed me and the rest of the restroom getting my only clean clothes wet...... The elevators smelled so bad that I choose to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs, caring a two year old! Not the best experience probably the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel.

The hotel was nice just for one night, it fulfilled its purpose. I'm accustomed to four star hotels.

The rooms are nice, the breakfast is ok, you have your basic La Quinta breakfast, eggs, waffles, not so great bagels, danishes and muffins. The stay was mostly comfortable but the staff was very rude, they were too busy chatting in the back to check me out of my room, which I don't normally care about but then the woman came out with an attitude like I had interrupted her day. They charged for parking without letting me know and then when I asked about it was only responded to by being asked to sign the receipt.. I mean do people really sign receipts when they are charged without their knowledge? When I asked for a copy of the receipt the woman snatched it out of my hand and I wasn't allowed to have a copy because I didn't want to sign. I don't mind paying for parking if I am told beforehand, but demanding that I sign something I didn't agree to doesn't really sit right with me. I am 7 months pregnant, I stayed at La Quinta so I could have a stress free experience, I won't be staying here again EVER.

We were in a bind when Southwest cancelled our flight and we couldn't get home for two days. The staff here is awesome - Quazine at the front desk remembered our names the next day and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. The pool was fun and the room is comfortable and clean. id stay here anytime I'm In San Diego. On top of everything it's a great location to old town, down town, mission bay, etc.

Right next to the highway, sidewalk next to our window. Walking distance to Old Town (2-3 blocks). The staff was friendly, the morning breakfast was good, with hot items included. The eating area is small and can get crowded when the most guests arrive. They were not always prepared with all food items out. The parking garage is underground, very tight. Pick-ups I do not think will fit due to low ceiling limit and tight parking spaces. In addition, they charge $10/day and $1.30 for the security safe in the room, which we were not informed of; and we did not see in the room.

Was close to the base and Old Towne, good accomadations, the breakfast in the morning was pretty good. The wifi didnt work at all in the room, but worked when outside for some reason. The staff couldnt say why

Everything was ok except parking was horrible. Worst parking space ever.

A great place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable.

Was visiting San Diego beaches for a day from LA. The room had been redone and was nice, although being on the street level with people walking by at night was a little concerning. And being on the first floor, it was loud at night and I was woken up a lot. The front desk staff were very nice and very helpful.

Stayed at LaQuinta Old Town for 2nd and 3rd nights of our trip. Cleanliness and hotel charm were very good. My only disappointment was that breakfast selection would have been better had it also included hot meats, potatoes and eggs. No complaints and I would stay there again - good value.

We scheduled a last minute vacation to SD and found this hotel near Old Town. Our stay at LaQuinta Inn was awesome. The staff were courteous and friendly. They followed up with a phone call after we checked in. This is a dog friendly hotel and during our stay.. to our surprise, we did not hear any dogs barking or noises in adjacent rooms. The hotel also holds guest for the Marine families going to their child graduations. The atmosphere was awesome as my son will be heading to the training in November and we know where to stay on our next trip. In all, this was an excellent hotel, walking distance to old town and plenty of Mexican restaurants nearby. Lots of shops. Enjoyed our trip. Thank you La Quinta Staff for an enjoyable weekend.

Very nice, except for a noisy air conditioner unit and some screaming kids at the pool. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean and the price was right and helpful for us. Thank you.

We can access from SAN DIEGO downtown. Location is convinient, because near from hyway. But, little bit crowdy.

To9do fue perfecto, excelente servicio, excelente ubicacion.

We thought it lacked in basic toilettries, only a shampoo and 2 soap bars. That did not stand up to the other La Quinta's we've stayed. Location is great for Old Town, but it isn't close to a grocery store, if you need one. I was told I may not have to pay $10 parking fee if not busy, I asked, but print out showed that I paid for it anyway. In the process of rectifying that matter.

Booked and pre paid on this travel web site, but after my stay the hotel made an unauthorized charge for parking, even though upon check in I was assured that parking was inclusive. As a disabled person, I felt taken advantage of. I had to report the unauthorized charge with my credit card company and will take a week or more to resolve. Had I known that the hotel would make unauthorized charges after my departure, I would have stayed somewhere else.

Hello jww, This is certainly not the experience we wish for you to have. We require a credit card with a proper photo ID or Driver License to check in all of our guests. Without the ID, we could not check you in. I understand it was very late in the evening when you arrived, near 10:00pm, I believe, and you wanted to settle in right away, but for all guest and card member protection, and our compliance, we cannot proceed with the check in process without card member verification in form of proper identification. My team did not wish to make this inconvenient or challenging for you, please accept our sincere apologies.
