Satisfied with the entire facilities .and the beach

The staff were fabulous! You could have beach chairs and umbrella brought out for you by staff. Literally steps to sand and just lovely!

Great service, clean, quiet, relaxing. A lot of kids in the pool when we went but it was bareable. Jacuzzi was amazing. Don't try the room service pizza. It didn't taste fresh. Pretty sure it was frozen. Only 20 mins away from San Diego. Great location. Parking under hotel. Sucks they charge $22. Should be free if u stay in hotel. Overall experience was lovely.

The location of the hotel is very good the rooms are old and smelly

Beautiful shared spaces. Room was spacious with an efficiency. Very clean. View not great - public park - room on first floor. Very convenient for us as we were attending a party at the Beach and Tennis Club next door.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights on vacation and it was a great experience. We were able to get a deal on a room with a coastline view and a kitchenette. The hotel is in an amazing location. You can step outside the hotel and be on the beach, the park, or just a couple blocks from some really good restaurants. As other reviews say the hotel is definitely older than a lot of hotels, but it is really well maintained. We only had a couple issues. First we arrived to the hotel at 11am when checkin is at 4pm. We did "pre-checkin" and were told that our room would be made a priority to the cleaning staff and we would then get a call when the room was ready. We ended up not getting a call until 3:30pm which after being told that the room would be a "priority" we figured it would have been a lot earlier. After a day of flying that started with waking up at 2am this wasn't the best way things could have gone. It would have been understandable if the front desk staff wouldn't have made it sounds like our room would be ready soon. Second, we came back after our room was cleaned and noticed a lot of tissues, toilet paper, and a q-tip in our toilet that was now clogged. Either someone dumped our trash in to the toilet and tried to flush it or we absent-mindedly were throwing things in the toilet instead of the trash. Of course the front desk called someone to unclog the toilet...after we asked a couple times.

Being new visitors to the area we were not sure where to stay. We book our stay through Orbitz and found the package reasonable and within budget. We liked the hotel and room and being on the beach. We would recommend your hotel to friends. The only concern was breakfast in the Shores restaurant. Way too long waiting for food and the coffee was a little bitter and did not taste fresh. We did not complain as it appeared you only had 1 wait person working.

Stayed for 3 days/4 nights with family in building 2room 20. Room was nice clean and good sized for 2 queen bed. Over looking courtyard with seating areas and ping pong table area. Beds were kind of uncomfortable, husbands back was in pain from springs. There is construction going on in the street out behind of building 2 literally right out you door. starting at 630/7am construction woke us up even on Saturday. Very loud and not what we were expecting. Staff was extremely helpful and nice though. Restaurant food great but spendy for family of 4. No happy hr on staurday in the bar though. Was kind of odd. The beach is literally right out the door such a great location. It rained and was cloudy every day we were there so we didn't get to use any of the beach things they offer or the pool. Room cam with mini fridge, microwave on request and hairdryer. Overall 4 out of 5 .minus one for construction and bed, but we'll be back for sure!

Proximity to the beach and park area are the hotels best features. The hotel itself was difficult to locate due to construction. The hotel staff were friendly enough, but the hotel is old and needs updating. Room was dirty and the dirt was both fresh and accumulative. Had not been deep cleaned in long time. Construction right outside our door started at 7:00 am every morning and the walls are so thin we could hear every conversation our neighbors were having.

We were originally given a room facing the lobby, with absolutely zero privacy. DO NOT select the "garden or courtyard" view unless you want no privacy. The staff was accommodating and moved us to the third floor and a much more private space, with a balcony. For this we were grateful. We would not have stayed otherwise.

Place was great, my "garden room" had a view of a wall. Room 215 sucks.

Front Desk workers super snobby. Room service is overly expensive. Also had items stolen out of my room by housekeeping. But good location and beautiful views. Can't be all bad right?

This place was not only Gorgeous, the staff was AMAZING! They were friendly, helpful, nothing was too much to ask! It was right on the beach, was clean, we just loved it! We had a great time here and DEFINITELY will stay again!

Loved the beach at this hotel. We had a bbq on the beach and watched the sunset, they provide clean beach/ pool towels and chairs and umbrellas free for use on the beach, and there is many shops and excursions a block away. My only complaints were the 50.00 per day charge to my debit card for "incidentals" that I was unaware of until we were checking in and it came to a total of 350.00. It was eventually returned to my debit card but it was a huge inconvenience. I booked with orbitz and it never mentioned that anywhere. Also the pool and hot tub close at 10:00pm. Otherwise I would definitely go back.

Nice hotel and on beach but staff was........indifferent. Felt like we were always putting them out with questions or concerns.

Our room entrance faced the beach access, which made for a lot of foot traffic and noise. We could hear the people in the room above us (lots of jumping around perhaps? ) I would recommend beach view and a room on an upper level. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. Directly on the beach and within walking distance of the shops and restaurants.

Happy with our stay! Location was awesome. Very clean rooms, friendly staff.

Our soccer team added a big showcase tournament in the SanDiego area so we wanted to add a few days onto the trip to make is a vacation too. This hotel was perfect. We were right on the beach, a couple blocks to some nice eats and shops, the pool was nice, the restaurant was good, the staff was helpful and courteous. WE will definitely look for a way to visit again!
