The proximity to the beach (within walking distance) is the only reason I would stay here. The rooms are pretty beat up and haven’t been updated in sometime. When you add on the resort fee and daily parking charges, it adds another $60/day to the price of a room that just wasn’t very nice. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Loved ocean vieŵ..beautifully resort and property. Friendly helpers

Excellent

Paint is peeling off everywhere, wood is rotten all around, AC didn't work in $600 /night room... Food in restaurant was all frozen microwave. This place is disaster! I don't even understand how this place is not condemned by city. Looks like everything will brake down any moment.

My family and I had the BEST time ! Our room was in the back but could still see the ocean , the room was super clean , beds were super comfy, we loved the double door and floor to ceiling black out curtains and patio with table and chairs. There were Fun activities for the kids and adults every day of the week , during our stay we got to make s'mores and watch a children's movie poolside! Walking distance ( prob 3 min walk ) to little shops and eateries. You walk out the back area right to the beach with soft sand and water was so nice while we were there ! The resort fee includes a beach umbrella, beach chairs and towels for the whole family and also included a free shuttle to and from a few different places in la Jolla. The pool is big and clean with temp at 82° so everyone can get in easily , there is also a jacuzzi and a smaller pool for babies that was awesome ! All the staff was super super friendly and accommodating (: our family will make sure this is our new hotel when we do our yearly visit (:

Location itself is great, but staying on the left side of the property is a nightmare. It faces the commercial street where service vehicles are coming in to the beach with noise and flashing lights since 5 am. I picked the front / ocean view room and could not even enjoy the patio due to non stop rental and training activities with kayaks and surfing groups. Ongoing construction at the sister property next door adds the cherry on top.

Great location and price was great as well. Would definitely stay here again. The room was nice and clean and the staff was so helpful. 5 stars!

The property Manger was very friendly and helpful

Fantastic location. Loved hearing the ocean roar from our room.

Only seperated from beach by boardwalk. Very good restaurant on site. I will stay here again
