clean, however a lot of basic services are not provided clean, however a lot of basic services are not provided

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice pool and lounging area

It's a quick 8 minute drive to and from Sea World. This place is very close to the freeway but the noise was not an issue. My kids really liked the heated pool. It's huge and has a 9 ft deepens. They provided a bunch of pool noodles and beach balls to play with. The jacuzzi was also large and not too hot for little kids. My son made friends with some other kids at the pool and he said that was the best part of our mini vacation. The rooms are clean and the beds were quite comfortable. I wish they had microwaves in the room though but the mini fridge was a plus. The sink was slow to drain in my room and the AC is pretty loud but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very great hotel that is close to all attractions. Room was clean and updated and had a old school vibe to it. Two restaurants within hotel along with pool.

Nice Stay.very Clean.good rooms . Nice pool. I would go There Everytime again

Great location, but dirty room, as in, funk on the walls and a giant hairball on the floor. Look to be clean when you walk in the room, but look closer and you will see it's not really "clean" on doors, in between bed and nightstand, on doorframes. Great price, but you're getting what you pay for.

Our stay just ended April 1, 2017. This is the 2nd time we have stayed and we love this hotel. My husband and kids LOVE the pool and hot tub and it is a great place to chat with other hotel guests.

Great staff. If you need a mini fridge or microwave just ask the desk. Fairly quiet. Clean fitness center. Attached waffle Spot dinner has some tasty breakfast options. Close to everything. Plenty of parking.

Nice hotel for good price. Carpet in room could have been cleaner.

This motel is very convenient for getting to Sea World, Balboa Park, and the beach. Everything is 5 to 10 minutes away. The staff is friendly and the Waffle Spot restaurant has very good breakfast food. We would stay here again on our next trip.

Check was quick and easy....Room was decent size and clean .... Parking was a little bit a pain but no big deal.....Worth a stay if you are on a budget. Close enough to.places to eat.

I was looking for a hotel close to the convention centre and picked Kings based upon online recommendations. I found it to be a nice and friendly hotel with an inviting retro decor. I was even greeted by a giant walking waffle that was stationed outside of their breakfast restaurant. The rooms were spacious and clean with good outdoor lighting at night and the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. In addition to the breakfast place, there was also a restaurant/lounge that had live jazz on the weekend. One night some friends walked back with me from the conference and commented that they had wished they stayed at the Kings as well.

Location central and convenient to our travel need. It gives a 1970 feels but everything was in good condition, simple yet comfort for a restful sleep. Parking was free but no free breakfast, still a good value for the price.

Saw few strands of hair in the bath tub, and on the pillows, but rest was acceptably clean. Microwave will be provided upon request for $5 plus taxes per 24 hours. Rest was good.

I arrived San Diego late that night and the staff greeted me in a friendly manner even at 2AM. I had a good sleep and checked out by another friendly staff after 8 hours. I had breakfast at The Waffle Spot (also run by Kings Inn) and it was full due to its popularity even at 11:30AM. I had this chocolate milk shake and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone working there had great hospitality and it was an easy access from the airport.

Stayed here for the Chargers football game. The staff here are always friendly and professional. All of the front desk clerks are friendly and fast and you can tell they care about the employees and they always seem happy. The lobby has been re-modeled and is clean and modern. We love coming at Christmas because the lobby is always decorated and they've even included a gift wrapping station this year. This is our "go to" in Hotel Circle.

Everything was great. The only down side for me was that the bed was a bit hard and the heat was not turned on. Both issues were addressed by the staff successfully and I enjoyed the rest of my stay. I highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed the stay a lot..........very good city

We had a great stay for one week. We loved the pool, the service, the friendliness of the staff and their Waffle Spot diner was good enough to breakfast in 3 times. The only drawback is the dirty carpet: with little kids aged 2 and 4, it was hard to keep them, their toys and their blankets from being on the floor. Everyday, I would take the used pool towels and line the floor to create a 'clean space' to walk on for our bare foot and their little bodies that would make occasional contact. Otherwise, we found the hotel to be virtually flawless. You could observe that the management cares, therefore their staff cares and it shows.

Next to loud road. You can hear people above and around. The place smells as old motel.
