Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina

Stayed for 5 nights (two rooms, adjoining) for a wedding at Marina Village. Good location and no serious complaints. One of the rooms was missing a desk chair and a foot rest. All rooms had odd light switch configuration. Estimate 30% of switches didn’t turn anything on/off. All rooms (we had five for our party) had a prominent mirror blocked by the TV. Our first night, there was a false fire alarm at 6:40am. Luckily, we were only on the fifth floor. The helpful staff more than made up for these minor issues. Overall, would recommend and would stay there again.

The $32/ day was too much bc we thought it included paddle board for 4 but it was just for 1 person. Also parking $38 a lot.

Great location to area, but your facility needs total work. Room was next to an elevator so we had sleepless night.

They added $29 amenities charge on line, then hit me for another $100 when I got there

1st, place is not resort, its just hotel with a pool! Room we were provided was not that great, beds are too old and smelly! We were charged $417 extra "Resort Fees" and parking. Definitely the whole experience was horrible.

Enjoyed our experience. The only compliant I have is that the people above us smoked on their balcony which meant their ashes fell on ours.

The hotel looks nice from the outside but is not clean. My husband and I couldn't sleep from the bad smell in the room the place . Is very close to sea world and lego land . I love coming to San Diego but next time I am here I will definitely not come to this place

The best part of this experience was dealing with Jackson at the front desk. He was very helpful and accommodating as we had to switch rooms. He deserves a big promotion!

Kids loved the pools, close to beach. Love our balcony view, loved our stay. Will definitely stay next time we visit again.

reasonable combination of price and quality. perfect location. .......................................

the experience was great. The staff was friendly and welcoming!

The pictures of this hotel online do not represent the current quality of the property. The hotel is located on the Mission Bay Marina only about 3/4 mile from Mission Beach. It is an easy walk to the beach and also a convenient location to explore other areas of the city with most locations within 10 minutes. This property was rated at 4 stars by Orbitz and with the Hyatt name, I anticipated a nice property. The pictures also displayed modern decor with bright colors and nice resort features. The staff at the hotel were all nice, our check in and check out were simple and as expected. The room was cleaned well and the housekeeping staff did a good job maintaining the room for us. However, the property is very dated and run down. It appears it has not had any updates in 10-15 years. The purpose of our trip was not to have a resort vacation so although we were disappointed in the quality, given the cleanliness and location, it was okay for our trip. I do think it would be a huge disappointment and quite depressing if you planned to spend extra time there. It really needs a face lift. I think 3 stars is a more accurate description. The location is gorgeous - Hyatt, invest in your property!

Compare to other Hyatt I stayed in the past, this one is the bottom of the list in terms of customer service, cleanness of a room, and quality of food they serve. It's a bit of disappointment but it served the purpose to sleep.

Clean, roomy, comfortable beds, warm pool, good food and close to everything.

Very run down. Gates broken, internet down for two days, moldy hot tub, unresponsive front desk staff. Wouldn't recommend for a family vacation.

We upgraded to a room with an awesome view for a small fee and it was totally worth it!

My room is on 9 floors very nice view balcony room is with sectional sofa and king bed very comfortable

Older hotel that has been remodeled. Is right on the bay, which was nice, but there were added fees such as a "hotel fee" of $50. The website eluded that off street parking or valet parking was available, however when we arrived they told us we couldn't park on the street and had a parking fee of $38 a night. Funny thing was, after we paid, other cars were parked on the street.

I was charged through Orbitz, and than the hotel charged me in top of that... I told them 10 minutes after checking in once I checked my account. According to them the charge was reversed, which was Tuesday last week... still didn't get my money back, dissapointing...

Hotel was comfortable & clean. Staff was friendly & location felt private. Also we had an awesome view of the bay.
