Hyatt Regency La Jolla

The hotel hosted events both nights we were at the hotel, so there were alot of people in the common areas, but it didn't affect our experience.

Amazing hotel in a beautiful area, i will back for sure.

Great friendly & professional staff. Good room design, but adding a vanity mirror in the bathroom would be better.

Short business trip; wish had more time to enjoy the hotel and surroundings.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency La Jolla, because it was only minutes away from our friends' place. It is in a rather quiet neighborhood but has shopping plazas nearby with quite a few "trendy" shops (nekter bar, mendocino farm, paper source, wholefoods). Rooms were comfortable-- it could use some updating (our sink had a big crack) and they could really provide complementary water like all other hotels (instead of charging $3 per bottle), but we did have a good nights' sleep. The best part was the staff at the hotel-- they were very friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out was super fast and easy. They were also very accommodating with our late check-out request. They have a huge pool area, which I would have loved to use if the weather wasn't so cold. They also charge you something like $25 for self-parking, which I thought was ridiculous, but that seems like to be the standard in other San Diego Hotels as well. If you are visiting San Diego for bar hopping or for the ocean view, this is probably not the place for you as it is not close to downtown San Diego. I do think though, coming from LA, driving longer distance did not take that long.

Friendly staff. Did not like the bathroom. Glass sliding door that did not close all the way - not great if not with close friends or family re. privacy. Also, 1/2 glass door on the bathtub did prevent water from spilling onto the floor. Toilet quite hard to flush. Finally, faucet was 1/2 way out the wall.

I enjoyed my staying with my family. Just needs extra care on changing the bed sheets

Clean, decent, but is not family friendly. No facilities child specific.

We spent a week. It appears that they cater to convention goers as opposed to vacationers. I probably wouldn't stay there again.

Hotel clean! Staff helpful and friendly! Great facility! Many restaurant choices!

Our room was not clean and our rooms were not together as requested.

Stayed for a conference that was at UCSD medical campus. Proximity to conference was great. It is further from San Diego than you think, so stay here if you don't mind going back and forth or if you want to stay centered in La Jolla. Pool facilities are nice, and breakfast buffet was great.

This was a wonderful hotel. All of the staff were fantastic and very helpful. We participated in the Valet Parking....well worth the money!!! These guys were very attentive, fast, and efficient :)

I told to the receptionist that it's my daughter's birthday and she told me that she can arrange something for her birthday. When we were in the room, somebody is knocking and my daughter was surprise for the birthday treats they gave to her. Thank you very much for the treats. We appreciated it very much.

Very good location in La Jolla close to downtown and beaches and all main attractions in SD area

This hotel was very up to date with all the decor. The pool was fun and had activities for the kids. We had a great time here. We will be coming back.

It's a nice and clean hotel but still has some distance to beach and la jolla village.

The room had a very pleasant lemon scent when we walked into the room. Lovely. Clean. Comfortable bed. Had great fire pits in the main outdoor lanai. First time staying at a Hyatt. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Location and hospitality. Spacious rooms and convenient self-park and or Valet. The Restaurants were literally a walking distance. Saying across the street is far fetched when they are directly across from the hotel which was super convenient upon my late check in.

the $25 a day parking charge was excessive.
