Overall it was okay The building looks funky from the outside architecturely Speaking. My a/c was being help up a pieces wood. The breakfast was pastrys and cereal but better something then nothing. if I’m on a budget I would stay here again.

I needed a place to crash for a few hours after driving to San Diego to catch an early AM flight. Having made the reservation online, I called to follow up and to explain that I wouldn't be arriving until after midnight and to hold the room. I was told I'd need to arrive by 3am, for no apparent reason. It's a 24-hour desk there. (Well, it's meant to be, but more on that later.) Given that the drive can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours depending on conditions, I gave my best guess: 1:30 am. As it turned out, I got an early start, made excellent time, and got there by midnight. At which point I was left outside, pounding on the glass of the night window for 5 minutes until the clerk finally showed up to give me my key. (There's no buzzer or bell. Just knock hard and hope.) No complaints about the room itself. It was clean, which is all I ask at this price point. But being on the fourth floor of a motel with no elevator was no picnic. Given how early I needed to wake up and worried that my phone alarm wouldn't be enough, I called the desk to set a wake up call as a backup. Dialed 0 and listened to it ring for a minute before hanging up. Then called again, put it on speaker, and sat down to get some work done, letting it ring out of a sense of morbid curiosity. ***45*** minutes later, the clerk answered the phone. On the plus side, he managed to correctly set the wake up call, which at that point I regarded as nothing less than a miracle. Absolutely not worth the money I saved.

Hotel in good condition, easy parking.but the check in time is in the afternoon at 3:00 pm,not that good. We usually arrive before noon. Feels not convenient.

Smelled and after I ate breakfast I had diarrhea for two days.

decent hotel for the price. centrally located with easy access to the highways and short drive to beaches, attractions and downtown.

When I checked in and checked out I looked to have been bothering the front desk worker. Checking in he didn't tell me anything about, wifi or breakfast. He was clearly annoyed by me being there. Breakfast wasn't bad but it's cereal, juice, coffee, danish, and toast. The rooms are newly remodeled and small but for just staying over night they are perfect. Bathroom in nice and spacious and the floors and molding could have used a tad bit more scrubbing but over all it was decent.

Overall I liked this this hotel, room was recent renovated, it has a mini refrigerator, Microwave and a coffee maker. However carpet was dirty, power outlet was broken and a desk lamp was no working also the ares a noisy at all times as it is very close to the freeway. Front desk staff is not the greatest but don't really care about it. Overall I recommend this hotel if the price is right.

If someone needs a cheap room it's perfect! Staff was very nice and our room was clean. Room smelled of lemongrass, my daughter liked it but I didn't!

I refused to lodge here. It is very transient and not safe as far as I'm concerned. Should NOT be on visitor recommendations list. Will refute the charges on my credit card. Orbit WILL here from me.

Its was easy to find the hotel ... its in a great area surrounded for shopping malls!!

No exercise facilities. Tiny, padlocked pool. Rooms smell like urinal cakes. There are several comparably, even favorably priced hotels om Hotel Circle. Choose almost any other. The presence of two staring mannequins, one a balding Hulk-Hogan knockoff and the other a cop reaching for his gun, in the "breakfast " room will make you want to sleep with a weapon under your pillow.

woke up in the Morning, found lots of bed bugs bites on my neck, upper body, arms. Hotel switched me to other room next day, I got bitten by another group of bugs. Lucky me.

Cheap and clean for the price good location and service from cleaning people lobby people are ok but guy in the morning lied to me about what time breakfast started he wanted to sleep more they had a sign that said 5am and I was 10 mins early he told me it doesn't start till 5:30 so I didn't get to eat because I had to leave to work that jerk

Tv did not work - construction on 6 units next door to me . Loud construction talk outside my door. I will have our legal department contact hotel attorneys to reverse one day charges of my two day stay . Orbitz is not vetting certain hotels for mis- advertising . Orbitz and this hotel operator did not make mention to the "in progress" construction noise and dust. Orbitz should reverse charges as they will be introduced to liagation and more bad press. Additionally hotel staff promised me a reverse in one day charges since they could not move me to another room. Randell Johnson

It's a okay place to stay if you are looking to save a few dollars in your time in San Diego. The hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. The " continental breakfast" is coffee, muffin and a bowl of cereal. The toilet leaked, the door to the room didn't close tight, but we were not looking for anything fancy. So this hotel suited our needs. Would stay again depending on my budget.

Had an early morning flight out of San Diego and I wasn't looking to spend much for 1 night's stay. Well, I definitely got what I paid for. For the low price of approximately $100/night, you will get a room next to the freeway, skinny hallways that make it difficult to push a stroller/luggage through, interior walls that look like they've had bullet holes patched up, dirty sheets, busted furniture, a non-smoking room that smells like smoke, and shady people as your neighbors. Needless to say, the hotel description/photos misrepresented the hotel. Do not stay here if you have a family or if you want a good night's rest.

FRONT DESK SERVICE IS EXCELLENT AND AWESOME!! MIKE HAS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AWESOME PERSONALITY. HOWARD JOHNSON IS AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY. GREAT EXPERIENCE 5STAR

first of all the person checking me in had the worst Bo ever the breakfast was literally sugar flavored coffee sugar flavored orange juice and some bad peach trees my air conditioner was broken it had a hole in it and the bed was really hard the room is really small the fridge is right there when you walk in I was sick the whole time and I still wasn't comfortable but checking in was easy the floors are really uneven so even if you're on the first floor we should be careful and built the floors above you are at the same wave pattern as the floors and one of the building's rooms from the top was leaking down to the bottom under a car luckily it wasn't mine but for the price they were charging I do not think so so not worth the price I could see myself paying maybe $45 a night for this room not what they want for it.

Wet carpets, doors that don't lock, parties all night, phones that don't work to call the front desk, burn marks in the blankets, no towels, need I say more????

Sure it's a cheap hotel, but I think the price I paid should've at least given me a working room key, working AC unit, working shower, etc. Pay a little more and stay next door!
