Free shuttle within 5 miles, nice breakfast buffet.

Stayed in a double queen room with my husband and children. Was very spacious and comfortable. Loved the breakfast in the morning ! The kids were very impressed by the make your own waffles and fresh fruit. Will for sure be returning !!!

We stayed here for 4 nights in a 1 bedroom king. The room is very outdated, bathroom had mold and mildew on the walls, the sink area is seperate from the toilet and shower. The only way to access the bathroom is through the bedroom which is not ideal when traveling with additional guests. The sheets for the hide a bed were not clean, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and you can hear all the water running in the pipes from adjacent rooms. The daily breakfast was quite good and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

our stay has always been comfortable and relaxing. the meals provided, dinner and breakfast hit the spot. will be back again

It was nice i like the dinner but for breakfast it wasn't alot of options

Room was very nice; well priced; less luxurious, but less expensive. Very good value.

Service was great and so was the buffet. Our room had a working kitchen, which was amazing. The room was pretty small though. We were under the impression there'd be a wall or separated section from the living room, since it said the two adults and three children would fit. We used the pull out couch and asked for a rollaway bed to use in addition to our queen, all in one room. Bathroom sink was in the common area, too, so using it at night would have to be without lights or would wake up the family. Overall though, we did really enjoy our stay. We just pretended it was a tiny house ;)

This is a nice hotel to visit La Jolla beach area. Room was very clean and breakfast was so good.

The stay was great. Staff was excellent, especially Dan, night manager. He made you feel like he was a friend that you haven't seen in awhile. Food was good, place was clean, no negatives.

You should go for the Hot Tub! It's the greatest! It is close to all the fun areas and sites of San Diego.

I will remember this trip as long as a Iive. Lets see ....what went wrong !!! I booked a room expensive room( does not worth at all ), I reached at the hotel around 6.00 pm and went to my room. As i entered , something was not right and then i notice it is smoking room. My wife is Pregnant with our first baby so she can not stay there. I went to the desk and explain them the situation but no help at all. they said thats what they have, and special request for non smoking can not be always fulfilled. I notice later in the description they wrote the word 'smking room '. Then she told to Ironize the room for 1 hour to take out some smell. We came back after 1 hour and they did not even plug the machine. At that point we were tired, hungry, frustrated and mad but we have no option to go any where,,,,, We went around the area and there was no room at all. We came back around midnight and decided to sleep in the Lobby. but Luckily there was a Gentleman (Manager) Mr Dan, he helped us and arrange a air mattress from another hotel. and we slept in a conference room for 5 hours. No doubt he was very nice, Thank you Mr Dan. GOD BLESS YOU. We just want the clean air at that point and floor to sleep. But From the start there was no help from the Hotel staff. and they offered nothing to make it up to us and now when we contacted them to refund the night charges..there is no calls or emails from them. Not going back and not recommending to anyone This whole saga changed my Life for forever. Instead of watching TV and having dinner at my room i was worry about my wife's safety and health. .Please do yourself and your family a favor and look some thing else.

From check-in, breakfast staff, to housekeeping - the staff was amazing. Great location. We loved our room, although it had an un-identifiable odor. Quickly remedied by opening our french doors to the patio.

The pool was very basic and that is the main thing the kids wanted to do...the shower was in need of attention...the stairs had a bad smell...the rest of the room was clean...the included breakfast and dinner were good...the staff was helpful.

Excellent hotel. Went to del Mar race track.

Rooms were very clean, service was excellent. Living in a suite let us put the kids to bed early while we stayed up later. Daily breakfast and dinner on weekdays are included, which saved us a ton of money. This is the second time we've stayed at Homewood Suites and we'll definitely stay there again next time we're in San Diego. The only thing that's not ideal is the location. It's pretty deep in suburbia, so there's nothing within walking distance. But Del Mar and La Jolla are only a 10-minute drive away. Chances are that the same hotel near the beach would cost twice as much.

We initially drove right by the hotel - it's in a kind of residential area. The staff, across the board, were excellent! Friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet and the evening meal - much more than appetizers and beverages - could not be beat! For the money though, our 2bdrm/2 bath suite was a little on the small side. You could not have more than one person in the kitchenette at one time. And seating for 2 at the small table! Walls were really thin, we could hear other guests above us and in the hallways. Our neighbor's shower - 45 mins one morning - could be heard a little too clearly. Pool is really small so don't count on that for your family entertainment. Guest laundry is coin operated. We tried the Hilton Garden Bistro one night and they were out of hamburger - so we left. Location is fairly convenient - we went into San Diego several times with no problems.

[...](evening front desk) was very nice, always remembered my name and room number. The other employees were always friendly and spoke to us. I would recomend this hotel to a friend.

Service was great, they even brought extra cookies to the room at 10:00 pm. Will stay there again when in the area.

Good overall. Liked the free hot breakfast and dinners.
