A great new Hilton Garden Inn located across from San Diego Old Town. The staff was great-helpful and kind. The hotel is well maintained. The room was clean, quiet and had lots of natural light. The breakfast was great with cooked to order eggs, buffet and fresh juices included. The waiter was attentive and made the dining experience special. Loved our stay!

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The hotel and facilities were clean and inviting. The breakfast can be a bit hectic but it was a good value and convenient option. The pool, jacuzzi and fire pits were a lovely end to our fun filled days.

I travel to San Diego very often on business, and my staff has chosen many different hotels to put me up in. I can tell you that this Hilton Garden Inn in the Old Town area of San Diego is clearly the best place I have stayed at in this area. The Front Desk people are super friendly. Rachyl, in particular, went out of her way to make sure all my needs were met. She was so helpful. My room was clean and very comfortable. I LOVED the breakfast buffet, and I also enjoyed the fact that they provide ice cold water in front of the elevator, a welcome thing on a hot day. The gym was also excellent. It had newer equipment, two of everything, and a nice amount of weights. I wish I could give this place MORE stars! I was so impressed that after I returned, I called the General Manager, Jeremy Bouvet, and let him know personally how pleased I was with my stay here. This Hilton Garden Inn in San Diego's Old Town District will be my permanent choice from now on, a perfect "home away from home" for all my visits to the San Diego area.

The hotel is new and the room was very clean. The hotel is within walking distance of Old Town San Diego. The service was excellent from everyone we encountered. Challen, the bartender is a true professional and makes the best margaritas. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great stay! Started with my call to Julia, FO Suprvsr, hoping to secure a good/quiet room. She was outstanding. Check-in was quick & easy, nice room thanks to Briana at the desk. Location can't be beaten,,,steps to fine Mexican dinning at Miguel's in OTown as well as the Trolley. 1st time in 100+visits that I didn't get a rent car--and instead went with the "local transport option". I was my best visit yet.. The hotel is so well located,, you can catch the bus in 10 minutes to Pacific Bch...a few train stops to either GasLamp or east to shopping & rest. in the valley, etc. Breakfast at this Garden Inn was top-notch as well! Full choice buffet & again, great service by Chris--- I love this place and shall stay again / again when I return to SD area.

A nice, newer building steps from Old Town that is well maintained and clean. Basic, comfortable rooms are about what you would expect but do incude a small fridge and microwave which is convenient. But, we stayed for three nights, left by 9:00 each morning to see the city and returned around 3:30 each day to find the room not serviced by housekeeping. Each evening as we started preparing to dress for dinner, housekeeping arrived and had to be told to come back after 5:00. When we mentioned this to the front desk, they seemed unconcerned and said they service rooms between 8 and 5. Unhelpful. (Just noticed also that management only responds to 5 star TA ratings so I don’t expect they will respond.) Also, minor but thermostat goes no lower than 67 degrees even in January. We prefer to sleep cold and since windows don’t open, we were a bit uncomfortable. Their 67 degrees was closer to 70 degrees in actuality. Finally, I can’t agree enough that the $18 a day parking is ridiculous on a ground lot with plenty of space and some street parking as well. In short, nice property with some shortcomings earns this hotel an average rating.

Close to Sea World, Old Town, Sea Port Village, the San Diego Zoo and all San Diego tourist attractions. Good freeway access from from both the 5 and 805. Helpful staff, clean, well appointed rooms. Highly recommend

I stayed at this Hilton Garden Inn for a business trip to San Diego. The property is located on the edge of Old Town, with easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Old Town. Short drive to airport also, which is good for early morning flights. Check-in was busy with only one staff, and multiple people trying to check-in, so it took a little longer than expected. Room was spacious and clean, minor residual noise from the nearby highway, but the AC/fan drowns it out. There was also a fridge and microwave in the room. Decent internet access, no complaints. Housekeeping also restocked toiletries and did a sufficient job tidying up the room every day. I also got breakfast coupons during check-in. A lot of selections at breakfast and the wait staff was great with helping get drinks, clearing plates, etc., Overall, I had a very good stay here and will return when I am in San Diego. This is a good property for families and business travelers alike.

When we went to bex, the Sheets were stained. Very gross. I was so mad that I didn't check the bed first. They did come in and change the sheets but, they didn't offer us anything for the problem.....

I made that analogy. As beautiful as the hotel is. I felt it wasn't kid friendly, the shower was a little mush for my 9yr old. I was it had a tub. Parking at 18 dollar a nite was insane. When the street is free
