Really nice place dispite the construction. Robert at the front desk was awesome! He made our stay easy. Beds/pillows are sooo comfortable. Needs a fan in the bathroom and maybe a bar with happy hour and food. Would definitely stay here again close to everything.

The Hampton Inn was very good in all respects except one. The traffic noise coming through the windows was very loud since the hotel is just off the interstate. After a while the noise was simply background but if you are sensitive to this type of issue, then beware. Overall, we stayed a week in this hotel with few issues. Great helpful staff from the receptionists to the breakfast staff. Very friendly. Clean and neat and modern rooms. Well stocked and good food for the daily breakfast buffet. Clean tables and counters. Good central location but you must drive or take trolley. Nothing within walking distance. But very close to Old Town. Parking is tight and can be over crowed on weekends. & every hotel charges for parking - $19/nt. Outrageous but you can't escape it because all SD hotels do it.

Check-in was easy, breakfast was always good, convenient to many locations, staff was always friendly and helpful, clean rooms

Great breakfast and comfy beds. Location is perfect

Great hotel and staff was excellent. Only complaint is room did not have microwave. They got us one but it was $10 a day charge.

pros: nice and clean rooms nice hot breakfast covered parking cons: don't stay on the lower level floors since you can hear some footsteps and noise on the ceiling

Overall the stay was really awesome! The only complaint I have is that the housekeepers are very loud all hours during the day. Other than that the stay was magnificent.

We stayed here last year on the first day it opened and it was great, so of course we decided to stay there again this year. The experience was excellent. If anyone is reading these reviews, it should be noted that last year parking was free. This year they charged us $16 per night for parking. I was very disappointed when I arrived and they told me about this charge. Seriously? $150+ per night AND they charge us to park? What is this ? Las Vegas? New York City? NO. It is not, EVERYONE DRIVES A CAR IN SAN DIEGO and Southern California in general. Other than that, great place to stay.

Beds were really comfortable, Clean rooms and quiet.

i did have a small issue at check in but they corrected it asap and the stay was very comfortable. and brand new hotel

This hotel is brand new and tastefully decorated. Super nice staff and in a perfect location, but this place is overrun with kids everywhere. Kids running around during breakfast and overtaking the pool and spa areas making the entire place a kids playground. If you want a quiet place to stay and want to be able to use the pool look elsewhere.

a wonderful clean quite hotel. A little over priced but we loved our stay. The breakfast was very good also.
