Stayed 2 nights to attend UCSD seminar. Easy access to drive to the school and also to find places to eat dinner. All the staff are very friendly. Lots of free parking. Nice outdoor swimming pool and hot tub.Bed was comfortable and room was quiet.

Loved the room and overall hotel experience. It's a bit out of the way to most destinations in SD and the pet fee of $75 was more than I'm used to paying for a small dog.

We stayed in a King suite and absolutely loved our stay! It was so much homier than staying in a traditional hotel room. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great! A+ experience!

Wife and I booked this hotel at the list minute and got a great rate. We booked a king bed suite which is over 500 sq. ft. The room came with its own dishes, dishwasher, granite countertops (I think), separate living area with an L-shaped sofa that was comfy (I fell asleep on it twice almost immediately), the bed felt great, and the bathroom was clean and modern. I liked that our room had a separate bedroom with a separate door so that my wife could wake up early to do her thing in the living room/kitchen while I snoozed undisturbed. The parking was free which was a good savings compared to hotels in the Gaslamp which were charging $30-$40/night, and the wifi was free. The breakfast was also free. I had seasoned potatoes, fresh fruit, pancakes, ham, cottage cheese and orange juice. Wife enjoyed the free coffee as well. They also had an omelette bar and a chinese station. When we checked in, the desk attendant upgraded us from the first to the second floor and gave my wife the snacks that she wanted for free because it was late at night. The people at the front desk were very accommodating and sincere. The drive down to Balboa Park/SD from the hotel was easy with no traffic on a Saturday morning (18 mins). We'd definitely stay at Hyatt House SD again.

Sleeper sofa is terrible. We recommend getting the additional bed!

From the moment we checked-in, we loved this place. The staff was very friendly; they upgraded our room to a suit with a kitchen, sofa, separate bedroom, and walk-in shower. We hit the bar during happy hour and it was pretty busy outside by the fire pit and pool, but we were able to get seating indoors. CONS: There aren't many restaurants around, so be willing to drive somewhere. The free breakfast in the morning was super crowded, but the variety was pretty nice. We would definitely stay here again if we're ever back down there!

My fiancée and I really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was nice and clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good, not much variety but everything tasted good. Check in and check out was easy. Downtown San Diego was not too far since there was never really any traffic. I would love to stay here again in the future.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay at Hyatt House very much. I love the suite style accomodations, worked perfectly for us w/ our toddler. We normally stay in your typical single room hotel w/ 2 queen beds and our toddler has no where to play so he gets into everything. The only minor complaints I would have would be the cushions on the sofa kept moving around while sitting making it uncomfortable & the water puddled up a bit in the shower. But overall accomodations were great including the complimentary breakfast buffet which was surprisingly pretty good.

North San Diego county but 20 minutes from everything - especially La Jolla!

Beautiful hotel for a great price! Friendly staff, delicious complementary breakfast, and the fir pit and hot tub outside made the stay that much better!

It was amazing for our weekend get away. Not close to the city, but perfectly located for us. The suite was clean, well organized, roomy, and nicely appointed. Staff was courteous and helpful. This would work well for a small family trip, too. It was nice because the master room was separated with a door for more privacy, unlike some suites. Breakfast was also great. We would definitely recommend this and would definitely return!

Celebrating a birthday and the vacation home rental doubled book and we were left holding the bag!!! Thank goodness for your establishment they made this weekend so memorable for my husband ....thank you Joseph, Sandie, George Christian, Christine the kitchen staff n the morning housekeeper. Last but not least Harby you rock thanks for all your unfailing assistance with everything I asked for!!!'

Excellent room! Very comfortable and clean. Fully stocked kitchenette was awesome. I'd definitely stay here again.

YAY! ! I had such a wonderful stay! All of the reviews I read were true! The look and feel of the room was more condo than hotel and I WISH I could have stayed longer. Even the Happy Hour out by the pool and fire pit, felt more like a gathering of tenants than out of town travelers! The staff was super friendly and gave very helpful information on the surrounding area. I will be back, but for a much LONGER stay next time. Thank you!

Went down for a wedding and there were 3 of us staying in the room. I would have rated it higher if the pull out sofa bed was a little more comfortable - think it was time for them to change it out. The free breakfast for each morning was great. Had a lot of options.

We had a nice, quiet night's stay. It is in the middle of an industrial area, but there are restaurants nearby. There was a shower, no bathtub, but that was ok. Everything was great!

I needed a day of relaxation and this was perfect. Room was clean and roomy. Staff was helpful and courteous throughout the hotel.

The service at the hotel was amazing. The only thing I would change, is too have the ability to pay at the front desk.

I stayed in a one-bed room suite for three nights. The suite is clean and spacious with fully equipped kitchen, and king bed is comfy. However, there was coffee left inside the coffee maker uncleaned and the wall between two rooms is not well insulated that noise can often be heard. Overall the experience is quite good.

we had the best time last weekend we enjoy the hotel.
