Four Points by Sheraton San Diego

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The stay at four points was convenient and very reasonably priced. Closer to the heart of San Diego than I had anticipated which made it amazing! The rooms are equipped with a coffee machine, microwave, and mini fridge. Undergoing a major renovation but we didn’t experience any noise from it!

Renovation going on so parking close to my room was not available and long walk around to get to assigned room.

We were looking for a local spot for the San Diego Comic Con this year. Most places near the Downtown and Gaslamp Districts were either sold out or too expensive. I decided to look a bit further out. This 4 Points was a little over 8 miles North of the Convention Center. We were Lyfting to the Con but the second day discovered that Qualcomm Stadium was providing free parking until about 0100 AM every day of the Con. The MTS train system had a stop at the stadium and would provide an approx 30 min trip back and forth to the Convention center. The 4 Points was close, up the hill, about 10 minutes North of Qualcomm. Overall, the place was kept clean. Older building and rooms. Very quiet place. Staff and dining hall were excellent. We had the Buffet Breakfast there for about $15 and was very good. Lots of parking, was next to the small airport off the 15 Fwy and close to the 5 to the West. Down Aero Drive, there was a Walmart and a few other fast food places. I would definitely come here again for Comic Con.

Listens to you, customer experience matters to them, quite good comfortable rooms. Good area location close to many things like sea world, downtown few miles away.

The room looked as pictured, but expect for it to be old and outdated. Everything is kept clean which is nice. The room and sheets smelled stale... But wasnt really noticeable otherwise. Towels were clean. Beds werent the greatest but didnt bother any of our rests. However, one our beds sunk in the middle noticeably enough, making me question how old this one was. Our tv remote and tv didnt work, but we werent in a such a dire need to watch anything. Pool and Jacuzzi were nice. We spent 30min-an hour outside every day. Gym was very tiny but had the bare minimal. Overall, stay gave us what we needed. Cloae to free way. In the middle of San Diego downtown and La Jolla.

Shower tub not in good condition, the sink always full of water....please use drano to clean.

There was very little airport noise in the room. The television reception was pretty bad and the remote couldn't access the CC feature. We had to ask the front desk for a few amenities that got lost on our trip (toothbrush, paste.. etc ). There were no use able outlets near the bed for phone chargers, because of the age of the place. The restaurant was ok as was the coffee shop.

Room was not available upon arrival. They overbooked. Staff had to look for another hotel for us for first night. Took them about an hour an a half. To compensate for inconvenience they offered free breakfast for the remaining 4 days. Their breakfast buffet is awful.

Stuff inside hotel is old. There was water leaking from the roof and they had kept buckets on the second floor to get that water. Room smelled and the AIr conditioner was so LOUD that I could barely sleep all night. Cannot believe I paid over 200 bucks to stay there. Will never book this hotel again

The front desk personnel were friendly, and there was free parking/ internet.

Extremely helpful staff, highly recommended for family or group gatherings.

Overall price for the room was proved a great value. Disappointed with the pool amenities. Poolside furniture was worn out and the whirl pool wasn't working. Other than that I had no issues with my stay. Would recommend staying for a quick trip and if the price was low enough in comparison to other hotel locations

The hotel needs a face lift. Our room was clean. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The only problem we had was with the shower. The water would not drain. Staff responded quickly. They semi fixed the issue. I was able to shower. Water did not drain properly. My daughter that was in another room also had an issue with her door lock. Also a quick response.

My stay was pleasant. I had a nice room that was comfy, bright and seemed to be newly updated. I ordered room service and the food was very good. Overall it was a nice stay.

The staff was extremely accomadating when I checked in. We asked for a quiet area and we were very pleased. The hotel is nice and could use a little bit of renovation but was clean and comforting.

Really disappointed this trip by the condition of the room. In the shower the soap dish was corroded and had exposed fasteners hanging out of wall. The makeup mirror lamp was missing a lens and was obviously overheated and melted at one point to where it should have been replaced. There was no toilet paper holder and the roll was just sitting on the counter. All the chrome fixtures were rusting through, So visually the bathroom was unsatisfactory. The desk chair appeared to be low quality and was very uncomfortable. Golf course did not have the same manicured look as it has in the past which detracted from the resort feel. Room we stayed in was on airport side and very noisy during the day. Tried to spoil the wife with a weekend in San Diego and this room came up short. With so many choices available in the area it would be hard to convince the wife to stay here again.

I had to call the reception desk at 1:30 pm because my neighbor was too loud. They took care of it right away but I was awake for 3 hours. The hotel was kind of noisy.

Very clean and friendly staff. Enjoyed my stay there. The location was very convenient and driving distance to most places.

Staff was rude and not helpful, crystal the front desk manager was the worst. We flew my plane Into montgomery field .7 tens of a mile away and apon check out crystal (mgr) with four staff standing around doing nothing but chatting stated it would be another 2 hours before they would give us a ride with our luggage back to the airfield ,the van was outside and her attitude was bad. Upon check in we also had to wait 2 plus hours for the room to be ready we arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm. Room was very worn out with a horrible bed that had a big depression in the middle. Carpet was from the sixties and furnature was In bad condition. We bought breakfast buffet for $15.00 pp the food was terrible. The property has potential if the staff attitudes and maintenance were to be improved. I feel that I've been ripped off by paying the amout that I did. I travel often and stay in many hotels around the country this one was one of the worst.

ARRIVED LATE ON SAT. NO PARKING BUMMER! NEED PRIORITY PARKING.IT WAS NOT FUN SEARCING FOR SPACE.
