Property is safe great location and easy parking
Location and service. The only thing that I didn't like was the parking fee. I knew about it but I wish it could be less expensive.

This is a timeless classic hotel. Our room was very clean, and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast patio was relaxing. The best is location....right out of the front door and you can walk to the sea lions/seals area, lots of restaurants, little shops, and coffee places.
Everyone who works at this hotel is genuinely nice! What a pleasure to stay there.
Best property ever! We loved it so much more than any other
This is my second stay at the Empress Hotel. The staff has been excellent both times. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. They have a nice breakfast and a large patio. And the location is the best, within walking distance to the beautiful coastal walkway, restaurants, shopping, I was there for business and my office is across the street. I will look forward to my next visit.

The hotel was nice, staff wonderful my only complaint is that the bathroom door is a giant shutter always gapped open, don’t get me wrong the door shuts and locks but why bother! If you need to turn the light on in the middle of the night in the bathroom it will wake whoever is in the room. Let’s talk about bathroom noises! Feeling romantic on a weekend away with your significant other? Not after they use the bathroom! How about odors? Girls weekend? Feel like sharing everything? I really liked the hotel and would go back alone but not with anyone else. The bathroom door killed it!
Bell boy was great and helpful. The room was a very good size. Very clean and comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms very clean.
