The staff are amazing and the room was awesome, the bed was comfortable and clean. The restaurant offered good food at a great value.

Just an overnight stay before going to the airport. Beds were not queens but the location was great to walk to restaurants and a quick drive to the airport in the morning.

Not that great of experience for the price that we paid. The parking is horrible scratch my car because the garge is so narrow for a suv. Also the first room they assigned me it was not clean i dont evem think that housekeeping cleaned. The second room i got the ac was not working well.

I stayed the night for a conference. The parking lot is super narrow and unmanageable for larger vehicles. There was a pick up truck trying to go up the ramp to the second floor and it could not navigate the narrow ramp. Also, I had to circle a few times to get back into the parking lot at night because the attendant was not stationed there. That was inconvenient. The Wifi was also terrible and since it was a work trip, that really delayed my work. The rooms themselves are super comfortable, however. They gave me 2 water bottles at check in. No cookie, there were none left. It was busy because there were many conferences. The breakfast was excellent.

Pleasant staff, very friendly! Room had no fridge. Too much ambient noise.

Needs to be cleaned and updated. Hotel staff ignores requests. Called front desk multiple times for toiletries, and they never delivered. Shower did not work.

The hotel is about 1 mile from the Gaslamp District but its not that far honestly. The hotel is really clean and the staff is more then friendly. They give you a fresh cookie at check in and almost any other time if you ask and boy are they delicious. The rooms are clean and it has everything you could want in it. We will be back!

Everything about the hotel was fine, satisfactory, no complaints other than that either the exhaust fan in the bathroom was either broken or didn't exist. It really needed one because odors lingered and the bathroom got really steamed up during showers. The staff was helpful and nice and the room was fine for our needs.

We were on the 19th floor with an amazing view. The kids loved the pool. Location was great!

My room was booked last min on a busy weekend, therefore my room was over priced. I'm sure the prices are much less any other time. Comfortable hotel, friendly staff and I wouldn't mind staying here again. I think my only complaint is the narrow driveway to the parking garage plus the overnight parking fee. Otherwise it's a very nice place to stay

Great value and customer service. Was checked in upon arrival. Complimentary refreshments. Location accessible to local attractions. Little Italy, Gaslamp District, Bankers Hill, Balboa Park, etc.

Really great location for the price. Hotel was average not amazing. Very attentive staff. Lots to see and doin little Italy.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to check into and out of. Good location, easy to walk to Little Italy and Gaslap quarters.

this was a great experience. Headed to downtown San Diego for the weekend and stayed at this fine establishment. Although it is a slight distance from gaslamp, it is not a bad location. The area is clean and right off of the freeway so there is no trouble finding it. The parking is a bit expensive but that's everywhere in downtown i believe. $25 bucks a night. which can get costly if you are staying for multiple nights. Comfy bed with a good size room and restroom.

Staff were great. The only complaint was a sticky balcony door which was fixed within the hour.

The Best part of our stay was the location. They were under staffed at the front desk, their elevators took forever...lines would form to go up and down. Mornings were the worst. The girls and I were looking forwad to the Cabanas by the pool like on their website. But, they didn't have any. The pool was really shallow, and the water was dirty. They opened the pool late and closed early. The worst part was I had to pay $25 a night to park at the hotel when parking around the hotel was $15. And, the parking structure is so narrow it is hard to get in and out.

The hotel room and location was excellent in the heart of downtown San Diego. The gym, hot tub. pool & cookies were awesome. The negative is the pressure of the shower was not strong at all and the sink did not have any cold water and was all hot. So with all the good there is some bad.

The best part about the doubletree hotel in San Diego was the view from the room. The staff was incredibly rude and had a poor attitude every time we spoke with them. I asked the front desk for a bellboy and/or cart for our luggage & she said "we don't have anyone-they're busy" and that was that. Once we got to our room I immediately called guest services for more towels & the entire time we were there they NEVER came. There were dirty dishes left out in the hallway near our room when we checked in & they were still in the same spot when we checked out. At checkout I called to the front desk for a bellboy and/or luggage cart to be sent to our room and again the front desk girl said "we don't have anyone, you have to do it yourself." When I went to the front desk to checkout, Jacob the front desk rep tried to charge me another $68 for our already paid for room and hassled me. My friend brought down our luggage on the cart and accidently left her small purse sitting by our room door, once she was in the lobby she realized this and ran back upstairs to grab it & it was gone. When we asked Jacob to ask housekeeping he told us we had to go ask them ourselves & they were on the 4th floor. When we went, not a single housekeeper claimed to speak English. We searched the hotel for over half an hour before giving up. We got a call from the hotel once we were back home, over 30 miles away, that housekeeping miraculously found the purse but wouldn't say where. $100 was taken from the purse & a set a head phones. The housekeepers claimed there was no money in the purse. How would they know that if they didn't go through the purse?!? Olivia the manager & Jacob the front desk rep just kept telling us there was nothing they could do about it and walked away from us. The entire staff was rude and unhelpful. I will never stay at this hotel again & will never recommend it!

Your parking fee is ridiculous!!!! It should be included in your rate or have free parking for your guest!

Booked two rooms in the same name. When we got to the hotel we found out our rooms were on two different floors. It took two and a half hours to get rooms on the same floor. Rooms were half way down the hall from each other. When we checked into room 1120 our sink was plugged up. They fixed the sink only to find out the bathtub leaked. Toilet bubbled and erupted occassionly wetting the toilet seat. Parking ramps were so narrow we could barely get our van up and down. Coffee brewer was rusted and dirty where you pour the water. We had to replace the coffee maker. We ended up parking across the street paying 10 dollars a night. The worst hotel we ever stayed at. We will never stay there again.
