DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego - Del Mar

NOISY. Restaurant under construction. Jackhammers going all day. Temporary restaurant and bar were outside. No place inside to get a drink and watch the hockey game. Room tv's do not get NBCSN channel. Hockey is on this. Gift Shop was terrible. It's a tiny room with about 10-items available.

Parking $14 Breakfast $17 Business mainly Rate sunday ok Monday rose 70%

We have been using this hotel for many years when we come down to travel. I really like the fitness center and the hot tub. It's an average Hilton, nothing special. Rooms are ok. I think it is lame that they started charging $12/day to park. When I asked about this the front desk says " everyone else does so we do now". Lame. For the price and the average quality I would rather stay some where with free parking like the Hampton across the street which gives you a free breakfast.

Everything was fine, as expected from a Double Tree.

Good location; excellent hotel. Con: $12 parking fee.

Solid place, good value. Stayed for one night and slept well. Also the cookies are very tasty.

We were down in the San Diego area for the weekend and booked a room at the Dobletree. Staff was friendly, room was okay, bed was comfortable. The famous cookies were not ready when we checked in. We were suppose to have a pool view. We could sort of see the pool over the roof of the main lobby area, our room was right next to the ice machine and there was NO coffee maker in the room!!!

I was overall satisfied with the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and modern, and it was very easy to find. The only complaint that I had was that the beds were on rollers but they were covered by bed skirts and I hit my toe on them four times which led swearing and cussing, but after the third time I should have learned my lesson. The breakfast was really good and the check in and check out process was less than two minutes in each instance. The only other suggestion I would make is to state in the booking that there is a $12 parking fee. I would definitely suggest this hotel for someone who is looking for a clean, up to date hotel that is very moderately priced for a family.

Not aware this was a pet friendly hotel. Fortunate to be on an upper floor supposedly pet free

Great hotel, the staff were very nice but the location is far. Courtesy cookies are delicious

A little far from the attractions of San Diego, but close to the freeway. The cookies were delicious and the pool wasn't crowded. Good stay overall.

This hotel is at a great location. It's close to freeways making it easy to get around San Diego. The best part about this hotel was free parking.

Everything was great, especially the cookie that they give you when you first check into the hotel, we each got two! Although I noticed a couple days later that I was charged at 50.00 deposit fee as well as a 56.26 fee that I didn't understand why. When I called it turned out that the hotel forgot to return my deposit fee and accidentally charged me for a pet, although I didn't have one. They were very nice and apologetic and I recivied my money back in 3 days.

Worth it to splurge a little! Love their cookies. So warm and gooey. And the free shuttle was great! Me and my bf went for the Beer Fest in Del Mar and we decided to drink a little before and the shuttle was able to get us to the racetrack in no time! The pool was also heavenly. It was on the chilly side outside but the pool was heated with complementary towels within reach! Would definitely stay here again.

close enough to all Del Mar shops and beaches. very pristine and clean. easy parking and nice pool

Clean and nice but llittle bit far from the acction in San diego..... all together good value for the money .

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. There's a pool/hot tub and restaurant too :-)

This was a very nice hotel. the location was excellent. The staff very helpful.

Stayed here with my kids and had a great experience. Enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi. Close to freeway and shopping center. Very clean room. Diane in front desk was very nice and resourceful. Would definitely stay here again.

With the Stanley Cup playoffs going on, I am sure that having that specific channel would have been beneficial -- sorry that we do not offer it at this time.
