DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley

Room was close to the generators so there was a loud buzz outside of our room window. Staff placed us in another room and accomodated our needs and gave us a discount for our inconvenience. Would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel. Great location. Great restaurant, WoodRanch right next door. There's also a Joes Crab Shack just a stones throw away.

Rooms need upgrading. Had no hot water the first day. Staff were friendly and tried to accommodate. Got downgraded from the room I originally booked the first night since they overbooked. Even nicer room was average at best.

i have stayed at this hotel every other weekend for the last three months to get away and rest, but the maid service has awakened me at 8:am every morning trying to clean the room. i have mentioned it twice to no avail. this last stay was worse because i was sick and the maid did not hear me say that i was still in the room. she came in, saw me and left immediately, but not before saying, "what time are you leaving? what a nuisance.when i mentioned it at the front desk as i was checking out, the attendant just non chalantly said, " i will mention it to cleaning services." (again?) there was no compassion for the fact that i had to pay half the cost of the room for 5 hours more because no late check outs were available because everyone was asking for it. or the fact that the time on the key card was not extended for the parking or room so my companion, who went to get me some hot tea, was locked out. it was a mess and all i got was, " i will mention it to cleaning services." maybe it is time to try a different hotel, even if it will not be right next to the shopping area.

Friendly hotel staff, clean and spacious room, comfortable bed and good food.

We loved the service, staff, room, restaurant and bar. It is close to other restaurants and great coffee shops. A huge plus for us was the trolley right across the street with connections to go to downtown, old town, Qualcomm, etc.. Yes, this hotel will be recommended! Thanks for the great experience!

The room was spacious, bed and pillows very comfortable. Location was quiet and felt safe. Movie theatre, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location in central San Diego. I would recommend this hotel and definitely would stay there again.

This was our second stay at this property as we visited family. It is very comfortable, right near the light rail station, shoping and movie theatre but still quiet. I was so impressed by the friendliness of the staff throughout the property from the front desk to the coffee shop and restaurant. Beds are comfortable and bathroom through small is adequate.

The staff and the place is very nice! Great location with lots of shopping and restaurants near by.

Excellent option if you are looking for a hotel near fashion Valley or Sea World. Very good price/quality relation. It a fine 4 star hotel with friendly staff.

Wish there more restaurants inside the hotel but there plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Indoor pool was nice for the kids

Hotel refused to work with us because we booked though "a 3rd party site." They wouldn't check my wife in without me or discuss issues in the room. They were also extremely rude. I had no hot water in the morning and on top of that, my neighbors sink backed up into mine. It was not a pleasant stay.

Great Hotel. Close to large shopping center with plenty of shopping opportunities and eateries. Area is pleasant for walking tours and conveniently located across street from San Diego Trolley. Rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

Enjoyable stay after we got settled in. No over sized parking at hotel you either valet park or park on street if able. If you have children, no door locks on bathroom/sliding door with glazed glass insert/NO PRIVACY. No WI FI unless you pay for it and the TV kept blinking on and off.

No free wi-fi. You'd have to sign up for HHilton. Nice room overall.

Have stayed with family several times. Reasonably priced. Nice rooms and services. Helpful staff. Convenient to Hazard Center and Fashion Valley. A short drive to beaches and Sea World.

There was stuff in the sink I had to clean/wash out, bathtub didn't drain well and the AC wasn't getting as cool at the setting was saying. Nice hotel but for what we paid I wouldn't have expected these things

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect for us to travel to the beach for surf lessons, downtown for donuts, the mall, the San Diego zoo, Old Town, the baseball park and so much more. Traffic could get heavy, but we felt this location was perfect for being centrally located! And, if you're a runner, there is a riverwalk that you can run on for MILES! It was perfect for an early morning run... don't recommend running at night, as in some parts on those long runs (not by hotel, though!) there are homeless people camping for the night.
