The room I reserved was supposed to include a kitchen. Upon checking into the room, there was an area with a sink and nothing else. No refrigerator, no microwave, no cook top, not even so much as a coffee maker. I told the owner who checked us in that we reserved a room with a kitchen and he informed me none of their rooms had a kitchen. In addition, the room was dirty. There were no interior doorknobs. The TV didn't work properly. I had to put my entire body weight into the exterior door to open and close it. There were bugs (earwigs) on the pillow on the bed. The entirety of the "continental breakfast" spread was three muffins, two danishes and a carton of orange juice.

This hotel was misrepresented on many levels. No A C, wanted to charge for wi-fi. I didn't stay one night. No amenities to speak of. Paid in advance and the biggest mistake I ever made

The only good thing about this hotel was its proximity to the beach. It was dirty, ac didn't work, pillows were flat and bed was old. Guy at the front desk was rude when we checked in.

If your only concern is being close to the beach, this is the place to stay. It is old and in need of a remodel. The carpets had stains and the beds weren't very comfortable. There were two thin pillows on the bed. The kitchenette was handy but very outdated as was the bathroom. The TV and reception were lacking, also.

Could use some updates and some AC, close by the beach and difficult to find parking at night specially.

I was hoping to find a cozy little hotel on the beach so I could get a good nights sleep and go walking on the beach. I could tell by walking in to the reception where I had booked, it wouldnt take much to fix it up and make it pleasent. The first thing I noticed when I went to my room was that the door was made of non-seethrough glass. As a woman traveling alone, I certainly would want a solid door! The room could have been cozy, it had a nice little kitchen and sitting area, but the carpet was so old and yecky and the old furniture was also yecky, so it took away from the cozy feel. The area was neat, and the beach beautiful.

We stayed here in the past, but is going downhill. Not as cozy and comfortable, it's still decent thought for being so close to the beach

The experience was pleasant and the hotel staff was accomodating.

The day we arrived it was very humid and hot. We soon found out there was no AC. Yes, windows do open up, but no breeze plus hot and humid meant uncomfortable night. Two ceiling fans but not enough air to cool off. The night we arrived we left the room as long as we could. Needless to say we had a miserable night. When we booked the room it stated two queen beds. One of the queen beds is a sofa pull-out bed. Very misleading. We packed up early the next morning and left. Location great, but not a hotel I would return to at all, nor recommend.

The location was perfect. Parking is very limited. Unless I didn't see it on the website, I had no idea that the rooms do not have air conditioning. It happened to be a very warm weekend and the room was very hot with only a fan.

The location was great - right off the beach. However we had zero view from our room only 4 rooms actually face the beach. We had no hand towels or wash cloths 3 of the 4 days we stayed. The TV was snowy or unclear the duration. Noise from other rooms and the street is easily heard through the night through the open windows. However in all fairness the room was clean and close to the beach - hard to find for the price. The biggest issue was parking. There were few spaces at the hotel. We got a $52.50 ticket one night for parking at the hotel and another night we had to park 3 blocks away at the sister hotel - not my understanding of onsite free parking included

We really enjoyed our stay & plan on staying here again. The only negatives were the parking, it's hard to find parking close and the cable TV wasn't real clear. Some stations didn't come in very good.

Changed room three times before they got the reservation right. Rude front desk. Dated decor. Broken fixtures. Very dirty. Ancient threadbare bedding. Hotel description beyond misleading. Absent security lets guests party loudly and fight. Continental breakfast consisted of stale danish and packet of tea.

This was the WORST hotel experience I have ever had in my life. The hotel info says free parking. What it should really say is NO PARKING. The hotel does not have a parking lot. If you are astonishingly lucky you may find something on the side streets nearby, but as this is a beach community don't count on it. The owners of this property have another hotel half a mile away that has a small parking lot. If you are fortunate and do not stay out too late you may get a spot in that lot, but again, don't count on it. The room had a glass door! I'm not joking. Want to stay in a fishbowl? It had a very thin sheer gauze-like curtain attached to the door that did almost nothing for privacy. We were especially fortunate in that the dirty laundry bins were right outside the door to the room. Also, the shower head was completely broken. The hotel does have Wi-Fi, but it will cost you $10 for 48 hours and $20 for a week. If you stay at this disaster, good luck!!!

Great location. Just north of Chrystal pier and steps form the boardwalk biking/walking trail. Can't get much close to the beach than that. It was pretty quiet at night too. Probably best to avoid times when highschool graduates might be having their senior trip. Bed was comfortable and kitchen was nice, though we didn't end up using it. Roller bed was horrible--saggy and springy.

Great location. Carpet a bit threadbare. No stopper for the tub...staff was very friendly and helpful

Great price and location! So Close to the beach and all the nightlife and great restaurants and shops within walking distance.

The Diamond Head Inn is situated right on the beach with great restaurants, bars, and shops just around the corner. The rooms are spacious and come with a full kitchen (with dishes and cooking implements). It's remarkably affordable for its location however, this hotel is probably best for students and spring breakers looking for a good time. I stayed on a Friday night and was woken up at 4am by partiers who came back to their room and started blasting music. I had expected as much given the price and location. However, Saturday night was quiet and peaceful. Staff were very friendly. Parking can be an issue but, spots are also available at a related hotel 2 blocks away.

We stayed here for NYE and we wished we had booked it for more than one night. The location was awesome. Literally, the hotel was steps away from the ocean. We left the window open at night and could hear the waves crashing. We definitely plan on coming back again.

The pictures are out dated and the rooms are a lot smaller than what the hotel portrays them to be on their website. In my room: the bathroom light did not work, the toilet leaked water, the "full kitchen" was not accesible and the room was too small you could not walk around comfortably. Was also charged $50 for unknown reasons, fraud perhaps? I would not reccommend staying here!

I do apologize that you did not like your accommodations. First, we have not completely finished our renovations when it comes to the kitchen, but have rented these rooms based on everything else being new. These details will be complete within the week. As for the breakfast, we have a very small lobby to go with our simple continental breakfast. We only advertise Danish, muffins, juice, coffee, and a selection of teas. Thank you for your comments and pictures.
