The staff in the lobby was friendly and helpful upon check in and when I called to say we'd be later to arrive. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The decor in the hotel is really neat since it's historical in most of the hotel. One of the only issues was it does smell a tiny musty in the halls but did not in the room. The room is a little more modern decor and loved the bed frame. The shower head is really awesome, loved the adjustable settings. It was perfect for our backs after moving all weekend. Also, the valets were nice and the system was convenient. I needed my car shortly after check in and they made sure to have it waiting. The little store in the lobby has a few things you may have forgotten but water was pricey. Would stay again for sure.

We stayed a week at this hotel, great location and very helpful staff. The dining downstairs was excellent. The bus is just across the street which was extremely convenient.

Room was great, looked amazing smelled a bit like b.o. I think this is due to no ventalation in the room what so ever. Staff was amazing!!!!!! Will for sure go back.

This place was great. I would recommend paying the extra money for the for executive king as the space and wet bar setup are a big plus.

Nice hotel, in gas lamp quarter. Great service. The Staff was friendly and helpful.

In the age of needing to stay connected with family and friends, it was unfortunate that for the entire 3 nights I stayed at the Hotel, its wifi was unavailable for use! A huge downer!!! All features and benefits of the Hotel should always be up and running properly at all times. We save our money to stay at a nice hotel and enjoy our stay, and go have this happen is very annoying!! Other than that everything was great!!

Great experience staying at this hotel. The entrance to the hotel was unassuming. Once I passed the valet and the door, the lobby took me by surprise. Apparently this is a historical building and it sure seemed like it. Really high ceiling and the architecture was stunning. Our room was on the fourth floor. It was clean and decent sized. If you are looking for something really quiet, I suggest a hotel away from Gaslamp Quarters, cause Gaslamp Quarters is full of clubs and bars, so there are a lot of loud pedestrians at night.

Hotel and room are beautiful. Great location. However valet was expensive ($40) and it appeared valets went through our car as both seats had been moved.

I enjoyed my time spending in this hotel. It is Close to shopes and restaurants.

Enjoyed much of the stay. The hotel history is awesome. Unfortunately our room was by the housekeeping closet- very noisy.

Great overall experience. Gorgeous interior! Lobby was gorgeous and had the look of a historic savings and loan. Amazing!

When my friends and I arrived at the hotel, a gentleman insisted in taking our bags (we all only had one) and I told him we were okay and thanked him. His response to me was "You know it's okay to not be independent all the time." I thought that was very sweet, but we managed. The lady at the check in desk was also very nice and even gave us passes to get into the bars for free. We had a blast and overall our stay we great!

They did a great job of remodeling an old bank building. Very gracious staff. Much nicer than I even expected!

Enjoy downtown walking. Perfectly located near clubs and bars. Just remember you would pay $28 per day for parking as hotel doesn't have its own.

This hotel was in the Gaslamp quater & located within walking distance to most restuatants & night clubs. The House of Blues is a couple of doors down the street. The only negative, there is no swimming pool! I Would stay here again.

My stay was good. Comfortable room and a very good setting. The location was perfect right downtown. This location allowed you to reach many different locations without a car, within walking distance. Quiet hotel, with a bar with many amenities right in the lobby. The staff was nice and helpful with whatever I needed

Great staff and comfortable rooms. Always attentive, clean, and steps away from the food, fun and ballpark. Would recommend to anyone.

Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcomed. Very comfortable bed and room service was quick and delicious.

I have never been to San Diego until Nov 15 2014, and the Mariot was a great place to stay. The location was walking distance of all local nice food places/bars/clubs and the bartender which I think his name is John was a cool guy during happy hour at the Mariot.

Great location in easy walking distance to Gaslamp Quarter. Very comfortable and clean room. Initially had a puzzling beeping sound in the room, but unplugged the refrigerator and it was gone.
