Spend fair amount of time in Carlsbad yearly! The hotel was tired, the bathrooms im sure are nice when it was 1985, kinda goes with the channel selection on the TV. No Views of the Ocean either! Basically 90% of the other hotels in this price range in Carlsbad are way more value for the money! .. I had always wanted to stay at this property, I guess I did but dont think I will ever again! .. Disappointing

The hotel and grounds seemed like they would have been a lot of fun. Plenty of activities to do and great location. The only problem, you can't check in until 4pm and you have to be out by 11am. I would only stay here if you were planning on staying multiple days.

Wonderful hotel close to the beach that provide you with everything you need for the beach free of charge. Wonderful staff very helpful, will gladly go again.

The front desk boys need to learn about customer service...take a lesson from the Starbucks Company. They were nice and accommodating to me but need to work on their facial expressions and attitude while working with their customers. It looks like they are bored w/ meeting and greeting new people each weekend. Super cool way the maids fold the towels. One maid even showed us how to make a turtle and a dinosaur! Our room's walls needed a paint job. Overall great experience

This was a repeat stay for us at this property, the prior experience being much better, so we thought it was like an old friend, but disappointed overall this time. I booked many months in advance and was assured that my request for a 1st floor room on the courtyard would be honored, so I didn't mind paying the high price. Upon arrival we were stuck in a back corner with street and construction noise, security issues, scrubby, unkempt plants, and a view of a parking lot. I asked the front desk repeatedly about a move and was dismissed off-handedly each time, despite the fact that there appeared to be vacant rooms on the courtyard. The front desk personnel were unfriendly and unhelpful (except Karen who assisted on checkout when we were overcharged). We stayed Wed-Wed, and were told (by the front desk) we only got a mid-week cleaning on Wednesday, despite the fact that was not our mid-week, and trash and towels twice. The DVD machine was out of order, but the (again) unfriendly front desk told us they hadn't seen the guy in days, instead of actually calling the company for service. I will look at another property for our next stay.

Nice condo, clean and comfortable. Bedding met my expectations(which are high). Close to the steps down to the beach. Which is spectacular. When returning from the beach and entering the resort, there is only one shower to rinse off, including toys boogie bards etc.. at times there was a line of people returning for dinner lunch etc.. they could add an extra shower. Carlsbad has great places to eat, that will suit every taste. Overall we will be back this summer.

Location is great. Staff wasnt helpful. didnt have people to help me with the luggage

Perfect location walking distance to beach and Carlsbad center!

Thankfully we stayed during the off season in the winter in September. It was so beautiful and chillax. I mean SD is a beach town but this was definitely a quiet, very family friendly, location to hang and just be surrounded by glorious water. Highly recommend. the beds and rooms were spotless and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Not only did they help us find a great place to eat, they showed us a few places to hang out for after dinner drinks. Highly recommend.

We came to Carlsbad to visit our Marine son for Thanksgiving Weekend. This is a great small resort! Absolutely the best view and location. The staff was beyond accommodating. We will recommend this to everyone and will surely be back.

The resort inn is really close to all the nice bars and hangouts. We were there on business but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gave us great ideas for dinner options and also a pool hall down the road that was worth a pit stop.

Very pleased with this selection. A great spot for exploring the city and a short walk down to the beach.

The hotel is beautiful but as we first entered the room there was old dirty towels on one of the beds. To top off the first expedience this site identified the room as having a kitchenette. there wasn't one. We were never told about the amenities available for renting the room. Following that the second day we had to request for additional towels and once again they let a dirty towel in the room. We finally complained to management and this site. My family has stayed at this hotel many times and had enjoyed it every time. I hate to say this but it seems like if you stay in their most basic room you will get there most basic service.

The property is very lovely with good beach access. Very pleasant low key lobby in a pretty and well mantained building. The amenities are good with easy access to complimentary coffee and and free computer use. The staff is uniformly prompt and friendly and the one bedroom suites are up to date. Everything to like, yes? Well not quite. The overall design of the hotel has the rooms facing each other so most are dark and don't have views. Such a downer in an otherwise enjoyable hotel with great oceanfront views

A perfect resort in a perfect little seaside town. Very upscale with plenty of places to eat, drink and relax. The ocean walk just at the end of the block is breathtaking and goes on for miles. The room was spacious and clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The pool and adult hot tub areas were equally as comfortable. The hotel was perfectly located in the town and central to everything you needed. Of course you could get in the car and visit the other areas but it is really not necessary. My family and I would return in a heartbeat.

perfect hotel for beach vocation. we were visiting Legoland and only then realized, that hotel not near the park..... otherwise, well spend weekend1

The hotel was phenomenal! Right on the beach, only a few steps from everything, the front desk employee was very kind and helpful. We are already planning our next trip back to this great hotel in an awesome, little, fun town. Thank you!

Lovely Stay, Hotel with nice charm, 1 block from beach with beautiful views of Pacific. Kids loved the pool and Jacuzzi, Right in the middle of Carlsbad too:)

We were appalled at our first assigned room which was beside the elevator and had a great view of a wall. There are quite a few rooms with this view in the hotel part of the resort. The timeshare suites have a nicer outlook. We paid for an upgrade to a suite which was very nice with a view across the courtyard to the ocean. It was a bit noisy being next to the boardroom which was always busy with meetings or receptions but fortunately we don't tend to sleep in. The room was nice, comfortable furnishing and the bed was superb. The bathroom was a bit cramped and the kitchen pretty tiny and not made for serious cooking, only one dull knife for cutting up fruit for instance. There were bikes, chairs and boogie boards available but we didn't have time to take advantage. Free coffee or tea in the lobby in the morning.

We were upgraded to a super nice suite. Everyone is very friendly, and caters to your every need. They want your stay to be great. Location is amazing. Paradise.
