Friendly staff, but the whole room and the bathroom especially was in bad need of a paint job. Old furnishings that appear not to have been updated in years. Have stayed in much cleaner properties in San Diego, also in similar locations, for much less money.
The location of the property is very convenient in walking distance to stores, restaurants, pubs.
Pro:Hardwood flooring in rooms so you know it is clean or not. Con: Property is old with unfixed leaky roof and water damaged ceiling. No pool, small parking garage, front desk is just a one man box office next to the garage entrance and the street. Room door didnt have security guard, no hair dryer, no coffer maker, old cloth hangers, big mirror next to the bed, other guest smoke outside side of the rooms and in the hallway, next to noisy pub...just to name a few.
Excellent location, great parking, mix of short term residential and hotel made it feel more comfortable like we were visiting friends. Rooms were clean and large enough for our needs. Location was close to many fun things and food. I am an ex San Diego Local and I will stay here again on my next visit, says it all.

Very old hotel and basic room. Had microwave and fridge. No hairdryer, on request, no coffee maker, no breakfast. Plus was free parking which is why I choose the hotel. Additional $100 or more cancels the original DEAL. Picture of hotel very deceptive. Does not stand alone. On a corner snuggled between buildings. Manager cordial and friendly.
The hotel was just fine for our weekend stay. The location was perfect for our needs. The room was a little small, but comfortable.

The room with two double beds is tiny. The beds are pushed together. There was blood stains on the sheets and mold on the shower curtain. The manager would not give me a discount instead he charged me $20 each for two additional adults with my party. They decided to paint the courtyard floors early Sunday morning on Memorial weekend. Who does this on a busy weekend before guest check out? While painting the courtyard the manager yelled and yelled at his wife who was also painting. The location is great but not worth the stay at this place.
