Best Western Seven Seas

Recent guest reviews

Rooms need upgrading where you could water flushing and running from adjacent rooms. Also noisy guests. BW needs to review their policy re: the $75 charge for incedentals that are charged then credited. No need for such a policy that are not initiated at any other major hotel chains

It was pleasant stay , hotel cir area is very well located , right at the center ,eveything in San Diego is max 50 min away .Excellent hotel for the price and value

The hotel is nice but dated. The staff at the front desk was helpful and responsive. We experienced mechanical issues with the heater/AC unit mounted beneath the window - twice. Each time, maintenance was called and they swapped out the unit completely! Unfortunately, they replace it with another old unit so a different problem appears. So we used 3 heater/AC units during a 4 night stay. But I have to give them credit for responsiveness. Besides the heater/AC unit, the room was well maintained and clean. The maids were very polite.

For the price you are paying, it is a good hotel. It felt more of a 2 or 2.5 hotel more than a 3.

good hotel- only needed to sleep in for the weekend.

Staff were very friendly & helpful. Room was clean, bed was fairly comfortable. On site restaurant was nice.

The lack of microwave in the room was a big deal for me, beside that, it was ok

Very disappointed with the Seven seas Café. After a cold club sandwich and an under cooked waffle I decided to go elsewhere!

The stay was nice. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly but when we went to the cafe, we left after ordering. We ordered 2 sandwiches and were waiting over 30min and we told them we were leaving

Hotel was 15 minutes from Airport, Old Town San Diego, Mission Beach and 20-25 minutes from Zoo, La Jolla Beach, Pacific Beach, & Coronado Beach. Also 5-10 minutes to Fashion Valley Mall. Two blocks from a liquor store. It was super convenient to catch an uber to and from places. The room was clean but had lots of gnats and the fan in the bathroom was really loud. Also every morning around 7am you can hear doors slamming, people walking, and around 9am you can hear cleaning staff talking very loudly to each other about what rooms to clean. Noisy but for the price worth it.

Seven Seas has easy access to freeways in San Diego, but was being repainted at the the time of my stay. My room was "paint ready" which surprised me when i arrived. If the front desk staff had mentioned this i would have known what to expect. Instead I called when i arrived at my reserved room, surprised and wondering asking why i was placed in this room. The staff member asked if the room was not suitable. The room was fine, but the windows were covered with plastic, the room number was covered, peephole was plugged. I stayed, but next morning the door handle was covered along with my "Do not disturb" sign. It seems to me it would be better to alert guests.prior to arriving at the room. The next day a note was put under our door discussing the painting.i like to stay at hotels in Hotel Circle as it has easy access to freeways and shopping facilities.

No, did not clean room, loud noise and construction.

We heard every word sad in the rooms on both sides of ours. Also, the bed was super hard and the room was tiny. My only positive comment is that they allowed Orbitz to give a refund for the next 2 nights so we could go somewhere else.

great stay and had no problems with anything. great location, convenient and friendly staff

Location: 4 out of 5 The hotel is in a good location easy 10 to 15 min drive to major sites within San Diego. Easy access to downtown & beaches. The hotel is very close to the 8 freeway meaning easy access to major highway helping access and drive time. The down side is the hotel is right next to the freeway meaning freeway noise is pretty noticeable, however, not as bad as you would expect. Amenities: 3 out of 5 The hotel grounds are well kept. The pool and Spa are nice and in good shape. There is limited space for sun bathing but enough. There is also a gym. However it consists of 3 machines so if you would like to run or cycle it will meet those needs. No weights. Room: 2 out of 5 The room was in good shape. Simple, the beds were very uncomfortable. The hotel left a notice stating that the water would be shut off for the night. When it was turned back on there was issues with the hot water. I called the front desk to complain regarding the issue. The front desk stated that she was not aware of any issues but offered to have maintenance come take a look. The maintenance guy stated they had a lot of complainant regarding the issue. He said to run the sink on hot and turn the show to hot. It took about 20 mins to get hot water. The hotel to its credit did refund me for the days of my stay which the hot was an issue. Hopefully this issue would be solved and not be a problem for future guests.

The outdoor dining area was a pleasant surprise. The room was quite and comfortable

great location. good prices, staff very friendly. close to everything Downtown, old town, fashion valley. etc.

Check in very helpful. My first assigned room had a crying child next door, check in staff readily gave me a second room that was quiet and comfortable.

My girlfriend and I stayed here since we read good overall reviews and needed a place to just sleep for the most part as we were out and about all trip. When we got there the hotel room was run down and outdated. My girlfriend found greasy hand prints on the chair and door leading to the next room. The worst part about the trip and stay there was on the last night we had a bunch of rain and the hotel lost power. Everything we needed was affected. No air conditioner which lead to an uncomfortable last night as well as having to get ready in the dark in the morning. I know it happens from time to time, but when we went to check out of our hotel, the front desk attendant was rude and dismissive. Also, not to mention the walls in the hotel room were very thin and we were woken up multiple times by our neighbors and after calling down and the security guard paying them a visit, they kept being loud. This best western felt like I was back in my freshman college dorm. The only good thing I will say about it is that the location is great, but overall we will not be staying there on our next visit.

Check in time is horrible. Wasted my whole day. Was Told I could check in early then after waiting in the parking lot for almost 2 hours was told I had to wait until 4pm anyways. Wasted my vacation on that place. Rooms were dated but not horrible
