Best Western Santee Lodge

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

My stay was from April 18 - May 1 was for both business & visiting family close by. Raj, John & Chris are super guest focused. Easy access to SR67 to connect to I-8 & SR94 to San Diego, also SR52 extension to Escondido. Housekeepers were efficient, helpful & quite.

out of most hotels in the area they are all going to be 1-2 star hotels this is the best bang for the buck.

For 2 night stay it served its purpose . Visited a museum we'd been wanting to see.

everything was average for the price however above all the other local hotel in the area for sure

Good hotel around the area, Lots of hotels around that are in a rough neighborhood but this one is on the better side

We visited on Santee because of the college orientation for my son. First of all this place is cozy and comfortable. Also breakfast is very good for my family - menu and the freshness .. Thank you!

This was a perfect place for us to stay in San Diego. The pool area is small but just perfect for keeping an eye on the kids. Staff was very friendfly and the free continental breakfast was an awesome bonus. We will definitely go back.

This place is good for the price its better than all the hotels in the area

Very clean place. Confy and away from the main city traffic.

Hotel is ok. Compared to the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco where I stayed the next night this hotel does not compare in any way. I stayed there for the same price. The Hyatt would be a 5 star and the Best Western Santee would be a minus - 5 stars. There is that much difference. The only reason they are busy is because of a lack of options for people staying in the Santee area. Both times I stayed there the shower drain in each room was slow to drain. So you take your shower in ankle deep water.

This hotel did not leave up to the experiences I've had at other BW hotels. It should not have a 3 star rating. Very misleading. For what they're charging I was expecting a lot more class. 2 star is more realistic.

Enjoyed my stay needed something. Quick and unexpensive and they made th perfect fit

Experience here was good. We took advantage of its proximity to the trolley station and rode the trolley down to the gaslight district and the harbor. We also had a good dinner at an italian restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. We didn't use the hot tub and pool, which seemed to be shoehorned into its location. We had spent the better part of the day driving from Joshua Tree via the Salton Sea and then the desert and mountains to Santee and were glad to find this hotel.

Friendly people and good service. The hotel is continually improving.

I have relatives in Santee, so I selected this hotel there for the perfect location. It was nice, clean, quiet and affordable - not fancy, but I didn't need that. It's located near a lot of restaurants, shopping, and easy access to freeways for those looking to head into San Diego for the popular tourist attractions.

Have to visit Family in Santee quite often. This is perfect for my needs. They got me checked in quickly, room was well kept and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, but I couldn't resist the doughnut shop next door. Mexican and Italian across the street are only average, but the Sonic Burger down the street is quite good.

For $80.00 what can you expect. Room was clean, service was polite and courteous, area was quiet. A plastic or some other non-absorbent material for a shower curtain would have been nice, the cloth one got soaked and soaked the floor. Other than that, no complaints.

Staff was attentive and courteous. Rooms were clean.

I would rate this a two-star. Overall, it was acceptable. Enjoyed the 24-hour Honey Donuts next door!

Hotel was clean and staff was very freindly
