Room was ok for short trip but could use some remodeling.

I arrived completely expecting the hotel to be set right on a busy street and for the hotel to reflect that. Boy was I wrong. The Hotel was set back off the street and had very lush surroundings with very comfortable amenities. The pool area was very relaxing and had great landscaping. I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast and how much they had to offer. The staff was second to none and everyone always greeted me with a hello or good morning. If I ever have to come back to San Diego for business or pleasure this will be on my radar.

Great hotel, the front office staff was very helpful. The hotel also offered discounted tickets for local attractions!

Staff at check in was awesome. Breakfast was great.

Stay here whenever I come to San Siego. Very reliable and comfortable. Staff is always super helpful. Great vakue.

very nice and quiet the weather was great, was close to everything

I booked here because of the location mainly. We booked 2 rooms and had one car. We got back late on Saturday night. There was no parking I went to the front desk and the young man there was very rude about the situation. I ended up having to solve the issue myself and informing him of what I was doing. He was insulting. The next morning I went down and spoke to the manager. She was very nice and apologetic about the situation. Although the one lady was very nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The issues with the night crew and lack of parking leave serious cause for concern.

Staff was great. Room was old but clean and comfortable. We had a family suite and it worked well for our family of six. Pool was nice. Breakfast was average - cereal and waffles and yogurt, just the basics. It's farther away from downtown than we expected but we liked how quiet it was. We might stay there again.

My daughter and I were there to see SDSU, and this hotel fit all our needs. It was comfortable, great service, clean and close to the campus. We'd stay there again!

This is a motel, with some redeeming qualities, like free parking and a pool. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the price was fair. The location itself was not really near anything as far as attractions, unless you are visiting someone at SDSU, so it is pretty much a college town atmosphere. Overall, no real complaints, its just an OK motel. While I would recommend it if you are looking to save some money, I would say that if I am back in the area, I would pay more to upgrade to a nicer hotel in a more convenient area.

My husband and I went to San Diego for a weekend and were pleasantly surprised by our experience here. First, when we got there, the staff gave us a free upgrade to a suite from a regular room. When we got to the room, it was clean, spacious, and didn't have even a hint of cigarette smell (which is more than I can say for rooms at many more expensive hotels I've stayed at). Certainly these aren't five-star accommodations, but they're more than adequate for the $80 nightly rate. I would recommend this place for a weekend stay.

Everything was very easy. Friendly staff, clean well appointed room. Breakfast was good with many choices. An excellent choice near SDSU.

Motel type. Outside facing rooms. Not the best part of town in my opinion. Very clean rooms so not too bad.

Our family of four (kids 9 and 6) had a great time on our vacation. The hotel and staff were great, my only concern was the area. We did not know the area where we were staying and although it was conveniently located by the freeways we would not venture off the hotel grounds to walk to restaurants or anything else. Overall we would stay there again in a pinch, but if we visit San Diego again it will likely be at a different hotel.

Price was right. Rather convenient from the airport on our way north. Very fine breakfast.

Clean, but small, wifi but no sat/cable TV, not much nearby for eating. Near SDSU, quick in-n-out.

Everything I needed while visiting in San Diego for SDSU graduation. The staff were especially nice, friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable room, quiet at night.

check-in and check-out were done quickly and with a friendly staff. Staff that cleaned rooms did an EXCELLENT job. Location was chosen because of distance to San Diego Zoo. Easy to get to zoo and back to Hotel.

We had a great trip!!!! Everyone was super nice and accomodating. We would definatly stay at this Best Western again!!!!

We had a perfectly adequate experience here. Had the room been cheaper I would have rated the value better but at $85 it wasn't very cheap for such basic accommodations in an area that is very far away from downtown San Diego. Overall it was clean, the best were above average for a cheap place (with tons of pillows) and I have no complaints.
