Americas Best Value Inn Loma Lodge (Sea World/Old Town)

It was overall a good hotel. If they added a continental breakfast they would get more people to come back. Everything else was good.

There for SeaWorld trip. Office lady booked us in room #37, upstairs corner in a nook. We got in & noticed window was open. We dropped off our stuff & left for dinner. When we got back we closed the window. That's when we noticed the urine stinch / cigarette smell. So we had to open the window open. Im highly allergic to cigarettes. It was warm so that was fine to have window open. Traffic noise was loud. Room was dingy & gross. But it was late & we were tired. Luckily we were there for one night. The next morning, when we were walking out the door to checkout, I noticed on the bottom box spring a red stain!!! Was it blood? Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe it! That was the worst room I've ever stayed in. Listen to all the bad reviews. Stay away. I didn't listen cuz I wanted to give this hotel a shadow of a doubt, cuz I had great experiences before with people giving bad reviews thinking those people are just high maintenance. Trust me! Stay away! No doubt here. Stay away! If u ignore this msg then good luck. Hope u have a better experience then we did. I feel lucky we came out of there alive !!! There are holes in the bathroom wall & the water changes temperature. There's no pride in cleaniness & up keep. Unfortunately, they charge $100 night for a disgusting room. Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No kidding!!!! Stay away!!!!!!!! Look away!!!

I have stayed here twice, it's a decent place if you're looking for a budget hotel in San Diego. Free parking, free WIFI. It's on Rosecrans, a very busy street, so request room on other side. We stayed in #29, which was a corner unit and had a quirky little nook area that was a separate mini room with an additional TV. You're 8 minutes from the airport here, across the street from Liberty Station, 2 minutes from the Sports Arena, and about 12 minutes from downtown. Rooms were as clean as a place this age can be. It's dated and older but the combination of price and location is good and worth thinking about.

We are a family of 6. We had 3 beds which worked nicely. The parents room had a non-working pocket door, but it was nice to have separation from the 2 other beds. The pool was small but nice to hang out at. There was coffee in the morning. The price was excellent for San Diego! The room was clean, just small, but it met our needs. We had a slider out to the pool and that was a nice advantage. Parking was tight - one night of 5 we parked in the street after coming home late. Wifi was not fully reliable, but we did get on most of the time. Cool to see Seaworld's fireworks each evening. Washer and dryer were in high demand and shut down at 9pm-ish. We used the fridge and microwave. Both worked fine.

The motel is basic and the carpets are tired but it's clean and perfectly adequate considering what you pay. The windows were small and high, so there's zero view - which felt a little confining. But there was a nice surprise to have a nice new little refrigerator in the room. It is located on a busy street, so next time I'd ask for a room on the side away from Rosecrans Street. The front desk said there was no extra charge for that. If you're just looking for a not-fancy place to sleep, and not making the hotel stay one of the highlights of your visit, I would definitely consider staying here.

Check in staff very helpful, but morning staff not quite as efficient. Room was clean, quiet, with comfortable bed. Could use upgrade to HD TV, but in room fridge, microwave and coffee maker were nice.

Well I had toover unexpectedly and anvi gave us an awesome rate on our weekly stay. They had great little pastries every morning for breakfast along with fresh fruit. The staff was kind never was nosey. I am from they area but if I ever need a hotel for an extended stay I will definitely choose ABVI.

Great location and very close to the airport. Staff was extremely friendly and room was sparse but comfy. Would stay again.

Nice clean older hotel with comfortable beds. Staff is great!

Makeup on the sheets, dirty bathroom. Dirty Fingerprints on walls, bathtub dirty.

The location is good and close enough to everything, and enough parking, but room leaves much to be desired. But, you get what you pay for. Decent value for a place to lay your head.

Hotel para pasar la noche. Esta ubicado en una zona muy transitada asi que hay mucho ruido. El desayuno es gratis y cumple con su proposito. Su personal es muy amable y atento.

I found this hotel last minute and a very reasonable price. (lowest in the area) Obviously, I was a little skeptical and expecting a potential crack-house type hotel. However, when I arrived the staff was very pleasant and checked me in right away. The room is small and not exactly brand-new but it was very clean and comfortable. Bottom line is if you're looking for a place on the cheap in a good location, book it. It's perfect if you're just looking for a place to lay your head after living it up in SD.

Hotel is fine if you are just staying for one night. Room is clean but stuffy.. A bit noisy because of the ac and busy street infront of the hotel. Make sure to bring your own toiletries. Hotel provides only one tiny soap. Staff was nice and cordial. Overall hotel is really not the best value inn considering it's location and all of the above.

Nothing special. You get what you paid. It's a good value but quality not so good.

The staff was more than exceptional, but Obtz was not great at all. Overbooking me and being of no help to me at all. In fact, the front desk clerk went well over what was expected of her to help Obtz fix there mistake and Obtz said nothing but, go find another hotel.!

I rented this room for basic accommodation while in San Diego for my son's graduation from MCRDSD. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and courteous. There was some road noise since we were on the side by the street, but it did not keep me from sleeping. There could have been a few more choices in breakfast food and beverage for the free continental breakfast but it was free and the pastries were good.

The room wasclean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly, but the street noise was a deal-breaker. My room fronted on Rosecrans and the noise of traffic was overwhelming. Also, a coffeemaker would have been welcome.
