The wifi is very bad, the restaurant is not big enough. We had to wait 20 minutes to find a free chair to have breakfast. Also, the smell in the room was not the best one.
We only stayed in Bariloche for 12 hours, but the Villa was a nice place for one night. Get the room with a lake view. Staff was great, very nice, but the hotel is located just far enough from the city to be inconvenient and need a cab.
Excellent experience at the Villa Huinid. While a new hotel still working out a few rough spots, they're making all of the right moves. A couple of comments for someone new to Bariloche: 1) this hotel is NOT in town. You will need a car, but book in advance. Alamo and Avis were sold out and Hertz was REALLY expensive for what they had left. 2) Being out of town means you are away from the groups. Bariloche is a popular destination for school groups who go the resort for a week of "spring break" like festivities. Being away from the party crowds was a real plus. The restaurant's food was quite good - some of the best we had in Bariloche, and breakfast was a real treat compared to the usual ham and cheese, but they don't 'get' scrambled eggs yet. The spa books the jacuzzi for exclusive use, so if you want a dip in the bubbles, remember to reserve the day before.
