Nice stay. We will come back. Very close to downtown and riverwalk.
We are sorry we booked that hotel. The room was totally inadequate with several things not working well or broken. When we asked for another downstairs room, they couldn't oblige us. The staff was courteous, but we had to leave after one day there.
Rooms are very old. Air conditioner (big old boxes attached with tape) was not cooling enough for the room size. Carpet was cleaned but looked old. TV's are really old with two remotes to work.
Some of the staff was rude, others helped us get what we needed.
it is very good located, clean and comfortable with a very reasonable price. It is a good choice for a low budget.
Staff was very polite from my experience but the rooms weren't that nice.. My sheets smelled bad, there were iron burns in the floor, it had a tube tv that wouldn't turn on with the remote, no fridge or microwave, and a coffee maker in the bathroom witch is pretty disgusting and I'm sure tested positive for fecal matter. Ac did work very well. Best part was it was somewhat close to the river walk hence the price but that's about it.. Hotel like that normally spend 40 a night.
Hotel was clean location not so good.. Staff was courteous..
First off, the hotel changed its name to 'The Inn". Confusing when you are looking for "Travelodge". This hotel is great location, only about 6 blocks to the Alamo but that's where the good stops. They are doing construction on the hotel and they were working until 9:30 pm banging and using power tools. Then the TV was super old and most stations were to blurry to even get a good picture to be able to watch TV. The Safe was broken as well as the peep hole. There was dirt/black mold above the air conditioner which was pretty disgusting. When I complained at checkout, the woman told me she would refund my pet fee (25) and have a manager call me back. After 2 days, no refund in my bank and no call from manager. So I called them back and the manager was not nice at all. he said that woman had not authority to even refund but he would do it. He told me it would be done in 20 minutes. I am writing this 1 hour later, still no refund.
the hotel is good the locations is good and the parking is ok
Dirty and smelled of paint so it was unbreathable in the room without coughing and I am not particularly sensitive nor poshy but there was mold and stains on the bed linen as well the curtains and carpet were absolutely filthy... We left and decided to move to another hotel. The area is not nice either. Would absolutely not recommend this.
We got in on a rainy day and the owner sent us to satisfy our aching hunger at an awesome restaurant of Texas BBQ only 2 minutes away. He let us park past check out so we could walk to the Alamo the next day. The breakfast was good, and included. I like inexpensive places convenient to sights that are safe. This is surely one!
It was ok for a 1 night stay, although as I was checking in there was 2 ladies that had just got back to there room and said the door was open when they were positive they locked it. Not sure what happened after that but I decided to keep our stuff locked in the car. The light flickered when we turned it on soooo you get what you pay for lol. For a one night stay it worked. I wouldn't recommend for a family with kids..
We specifically asked for no room service, as we don't like to be bothered during our stay, but we were continuously woken up for three mornings in a row at 9:00 A.M for room service. We had to go down to the office and request a do not disturb sign. Other than that, good stuff.
Good location, next to the Riverwalk, and in downtown.
Not a bad place to stay while touring downtown for a couple of days. Affordable and it's quiet
I wish the room would have been cleaner. We found a couple insects in the bathroom. The room overall could have had a more comfy feel.
Just a quick walking distance from the Alamo and river walk. Kind of loud outside when you're trying to sleep, but it's the cheapest motel downtown.
I have stayed here many times while traveling through the area, but this is my last time. This hotel is going downhill. Non smoking rooms reek of tobacco. Air conditioners are so noisy you can barely sleep. This place needs some TLC.
VERY nice people in a place which needs some serious updating. The bed was very large and very comfortable. But my bathroom light fixture flickered and blinked for over ten minutes every time I flipped the switch. Eventually, it came all the way on, still dim. The sink had what appeared to be cigarette stains that could not be removed by the staff. Next to the shower, at head height, was a HUGE area of layers of peeling paint, much like the blooms of a large plant!
All things were good but breakfast is too simple and no any change for five days that made me fear of eating it.
