Check in was quick & friendly. Room was a good size & bed was comfortable. Was really looking forward to a swim in the pool, but my grand kids both forgot their swimsuits, so we didn't get to. It was clean & inviting looking though. I don't stay in a motel/hotel on a regular basis so it took me until 3:30 in the morning to figure out how to close the heavier curtains behind the sheers to block out the light from the parking lot. The only real noise was sirens all night, through no fault of the hotel or management though. Overall, it's a nice place to stay & they have a decent breakfast, but wish there had been bacon or sausage to go along with the other items. Ordered the delivery pizza for my grand kids & myself as suggested by the gentleman at check-in since I don't know the area & didn't notice the burger place that was within walking distance, but the wait was 1 1/12 hours,it was expensive, cold when we finally got it & not that good. Don't recommend it.

Room was decent, had issue with heat but staff had it fixed by time we returned from base. Room I booked was supposed to have two queen beds, instead it was two full beds. Room otherwise ok. Breakfast was a let down, biscuits were hard, eggs a little rubbery. Kids did love the Texas shaped waffle

The evening staff was VERY friendly & helpful. The rooms smelled a bit & bathrooms were in need of repair. It was ok & served its purpose. Close to Lackland AFB.

If you have a local address they want to charge an additional $40 deposit which is unfair.

Bathroom shower falling apart, bed was very uncomfortable. The only good thing about this hotel is it was close to the Lackland AFB.

Flights were delayed due to mechanical failures both outbound and connection, didn't get into San Antonio until the following day. Checked in and was told I would still be charged the first night and to call Orbitz. The Orbitz rep called Allen at the Front Desk to request Ramada refund me the first night, and he declined. It's completely discretionary, most hotels would refund the first night due to flight cancellations, Ramada (at least Allen) doesn't ...total BS. Don't stay here, if not only for this reason, then because the hotel was run-down, outdated, smelled, and was in complete disrepair.

Great hotel. The general manager was great but had an issue with one of the staff for not telling us someone went into a friends room and took candy and went through clothes and even took a shower. We should have been notified.

I made the mistake of booking my room 2 weeks after I actually needed it. You can imagine my feelings of embarrassment & fear when I found out I didn't have a room reserved that night. Thankfully, the manager on duty allowed me to cancel my reservation free of charge, which allowed me to re-book for the correct dates. The A/C was cold, the ice machine worked, and the TV had decent programming. On my second night, i had to get my keys reprogrammed, because for some reason they stopped working. The night clerk quickly got me some new keys, so no biggie.. When checking out, I had to try their breakfast... OMG, I had two sausage biscuits, and at least 4 cups of Orange Juice it was so good.!! Overall, I enjoyed my experience. Any problems I had not mentioned here were quickly remedied by the staff

For the money, this is a great hotel. I stayed there twice this week. The fifth floor seem to have been renovated more recently than the third. The location is good for easy freeway access. The warm breakfast is excellent. The wireless signal was frustrating since it kept cutting in and out. Otherwise, a good value for the money.

Not a bad stay.. The worst part is that there is a fire station across the street so it can be noisy

The hotel is in a GREAT location. It has my restaurants and other hotels arounds it. All in walking distance with a well lit area. We only stayed one night, the room rate was high for a room that is (very basic) standard. So don't expect luxury living, but it was GOOD as for having a clean bed, room, and bathroom area with enough towels in it. All in together I would stay again because it was a pleasant overnight stay, but I hope the rates would match the standard basic room.

Overall, nice, clean hotel, right near where I wanted to be. Good value for the money. Problem: I mistakenly booked a smoking room. I thought it was a mistake but apparently I did. I then asked for a nonsmoking room which they agreed to give me for $10.00 I thought ok no problem. She then told me ok rebooked me and said it was $40...$10 per night. Perhaps I shouldve known that but when she originally said $10 I thought that was all it was going to be. I then said no I don't want the nonsmoking room just give me the smoking room...I'll just tough it out. After an awkward silence she said I'm sorry but we don't have ANY SMOKING ROOMS AVAILABLE and that she would have to give me a non smoking room at no charge and then quickly changed her mind and said it would be $20.00 extra for the 4 nights. You can imagine my thoughts at this point. After holding back my true thoughts of the situation I just agreed and said just give me the room as I had flown all day, it was late and I had to get up in 6 hours. While the Hotel met my needs and I had no other issues if I go to San Antonio again, which is likely, I will not stay there because of their dishonesty

Staff was friendly. Room was dated but basically clean. Nice towels. Free breakfast was average. Bed hard as a brick, which is ok for me but most folks would not like it. Hard to get in and out of parking lot during peak traffic but otherwise ok. Would recommend to a friend on a budget!

I was not aware that it was a motel not a hotel. It worked out much better then we expected, management was very pleasant.

Good service. Was booked for a smoking and the staff switched me to a non-smoking at no charge.

Front desk clerk was extremely helpful and pleasant. Property was clean and well maintained. Location was about 5 minuites from Lackland AFB, 10 minuites from Sea World and 15 minuites from downtown San Antonio, plus it is located on major highway with convenient GPS directions to anywhere. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to use this facility again.

The hotel is 1 block off the freeway. There are three restraunts in the parking lot and a Mexican seafood place across the street. Less than 15 minu7tes from Lackland AFB. 10 minutes from Sea World and about 20 minutes from the Riverwalk. The room was clean and housekeeping came every day. Breakfast was ok.

Staff was very nice and accomodating. Really hard to get into the parking lot-there is NO easy way. What was disturbing was what happened on Saturday, 09/01/2012: we left the hotel to go to Lackland and then to Austin. Room was not serviced. I was told there was a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. We didnt put one on or see one. When I reached for a soda we had on the desk, I discovered someones reading glasses were there. They were not there before we had left in the morning. I immediately contacted Tony at the front desk, who was apologetic but not too concerned. Someone put a "DND" sign on my door and was in my room-I am SO not comfortable with this. Thank goodness we took anything of value with us, but that still does not remove the fact that someone was IN my room going through MY things. I honestly will not be staying there on our next trip to San Antonio, which I might add will be soon along with the 2 other parties that came with us. Sorry, my wife and I were creeped out.

Across from fire station next to freeway loud at night

This is the kind of hotel you stay at when you do not have any other options. The start we checked in at around 3pm, the desk clerk left us standing at the desk to take a personal call. Without going into a lot of detail, I was a little uncomfortable listening to the call. The room was dirty and had a old moldy smell. I don’t think the room was cleaned recently, the bathroom had hair in the tub and sticking to the wall. This was not a little hair, it looked like someone was shampooing a dog and the room was just left. There were holes in the walls behind the doors where the door knob when through (lack of wall stops). The beds were old and abused and the room furnishings did not match, it looked like the room was furnished with second hand office furniture. And the highlight of the hotel stay. The second entrance to the hotel is locked a night so your car is not stolen. The types of people walking around the facility let me to wonder if some of the rooms were rented by the hour. Again, stay someplace else unless this description sounds like your kind of place.
