Nice place with a nice room. Big variance in employees hospitality (thanks a million Gardenia, you made the difference) Over $800 for 3 nights is quite expensive, even when breakfast is included ! Fireplace in your room is not common (and we did not test either)

I checked in around 2am into room-114 I called ahead before arrival everything was ok..I have been at this location before..Other hotels in the area if needed...Parking outside good lighting and park outside your door..You can drive all the way around the building..There is room for some semi trucks..The room I stayed in was downstairs..Clean room microwave and refrigerator,,Tile floor no carpet..2 beds both comfy and clean..Management was friendly on arrival and leaving in the late morning..Hot chocalate in the office in the morning..Will return if needed on next visit.

I was in San Antonio on business and ended up staying for about 4 days. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and went out of their way to extend my stay in the same room at the discounted weekend price. Clean, quiet and safe.

1. I booked this motel 6 through central number on way to take my son to see the Alamo on way home for holidays- it was our 12th Motel 6 on our trip and most likely our last if this is how a "corporate Motel 6 " is managed. I had to call the clerk en route to see if they were closer to the I 10 or I 35- , Williams answer " I dunno- I'm not from Texas". I amde the choice to use the 10. Upon arrival, the "night window" was in affect already- and I passed my Drivers license, credit card and AARP card through slot. William passed it back and said "nothing I can do with this" showing my I.D. had a small crack on the back side of license. I had used it at countless other hotels and for driving, checks etc..but "nothing I can do with this " was Willams way of denying me the right to check in. He was clear about one thing: "My Manager told me not to accept any damaged id". I asked if it was corporate Motel 6 or franchise. He said Corporate- and his manger would be in next day. The next day, I went by to see the "Manager" before I took my son to the Alamo ( by the way- this Motel 6 is in bad location and has seedy characters all around it- I would avoid it anyway and pick one of the other 5 in area) who was on duty at desk. This women was almost as rude and stand offish as William- and I see where he gets it from. She claimed it was a corporate motel as well and acted like it was some Motel 6 policy not to accept an ID with a crack in it. I try to discuss that I had stayed at 12 Motel 6 just previous on a cross country trip- she could care less, was rude and snappy about it. Certainly not the "we'll leave the light on for you" attitude that Motel 6 has become known for. Do yourself a favor, if your going to stay in this area and you have to pick a Motel 6- stay at Motel 6 North- better location, nicer renovated rooms and the best part, a much nicer staff.

...this place has really cleaned up..stayed for a few days while truck was in the shop..was really happy with room..it's clean, the floors too, smells clean and they have a security guard that walks the parking lot after dark..usually stay at motel 6 on I-35 S, but that place has really gotten filthy...glad we found this place, we'll be staying here when we're in san antonio..didn't give 5 stars cause the internet did not work properly...

Very dirty and nasty. Will never stay there again. Bugs everywhere did not want to touch anything. My bathroom got flooded because of the people on the 2nd floor. The people at the desk were not very nice. This place needs to be shut down!

I've stayed in some cheap hotels in my life, but this place was pretty bad! I would have changed hotels, but I had driven over 600 miles and was exhausted. Plus they allow pets. I had called ahead to request a ground floor room, but when I arrived they had put me upstairs. I asked to switch and was put in the handicapped room on the first floor. When I opened to door the musty-moldy smell nearly knocked me over. I asked them to air freshen the room (which they did) and that helped...a little. The bathroom shower had mold all over it and the carpet was stained. The neighborhood is industrial and there is not a lot around there. The pool looked ok. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because the air conditioner blew really cold air (a good thing) and the mattresses were in good shape and comfortable. I slept well and prayed that nothing crawled on me. Overall I would not stay there again.

We arrived to the Econo Lodge and i decided to inspect the room for cleanliness. The place is nasty and dirty. To top it off i found bed bugs!!! Yes... Bed bugs. I told the clerk that we were not stqying there due that there were bed bugs. I was double chrged for services not rendered to my credit card to add insult to injury!!! Staff is rude and unprofessional!!!! Never again!!!!

The Good: There was a t.v., and a bed. The Bad: Located in a very bad part of town, extremely poor cleaniliness, horrible breakfast by even continental standards, did I mention is was filthy, poor was murky. What can I say? This hotel has that "Bob Crane was in my room watching violent porn" feel to it. Stains on all the furniture...which are circa the 70's i believe. Room is very dark with extremely poor lighting. Best is the breakfast: Toast, Muffin, aging fruite, or cereal. Too many choices. lol. Seriously it's a poop hole. I' travel alot, and have stayed in may a hotel. I really don't expect too much. Choice Hotels should be ashamed.

Bugs (hundreds of cockroaches in one room, a variety of bugs in the other) kept us from eating in room. Breakfast was advertised on flyer in room from 7-10; actually times were 6:30-9:30 and not available at all at 7:25 on Sunday or Monday when we tried to get in. No 24 hour coffee as advertised as office was locked up tight until breakfast hour, whenever that was. Office did not answer phone at 10:30 pm after 50 rings. My husband tried again and they finally answered after 20 minutes of ringing.
