This property is overpriced for the condition it is in and the amenities. We didn’t get the room we paid for when we booked on Orbitz. We got a smaller room with no pull out sofa which was important to us. The lock on the sliding glass balcony door was not functional and we were told that the safety bar would have to do. The pool was overcrowded with very loud music playing to the point that you couldn’t carry on a conversation. There were no pool towels available. It needs to be renovated and updated or lower the ridiculously high prices.

Management was very helpful in recommending near by activities.

Parking too expensive

Never made it there, travel arrangements from orbits collapsed making the trip impossible. Big business crushing little ones. Thank god ORBITZ, American, and Expedia Group are almost a thing of the past. Horrid customer service once they have your money.

I wanted to provide the experience that was less than desirable at my first and maybe last stay at this location. We frequently visit the San Antonio are and tried your hotel for the first and maybe last time due to several issues. Here is a list of challenges that we had from the initial checkin through our stay. At check in there was someone at the counter that was not paying any attention to us after saying excuse me a couple times, they finally responded with what do you need? First off that is a horrible customer experience to provide to a first time visitor of your hotel, the customer associate stated I was busy. We let that slide although there was no other parties checking in at the time we were, the lobby was empty. The next issue we had was the AC was not working appropriately, so we contacted the front desk and she stated that there are no other rooms available and we have to work through it until someone comes to check it, no one ever come after a second call. Keep in mind we stayed at your hotel for two nights and it was our first experience with your company at this specific hotel, we are very frequent travelers to the area. The next issue was getting additional towels to our room the second day to replace the ones we had due to a smell on them, although they appeared to be clean. We asked several times and finally went to one of the ladies cleaning and just got the towels ourselves, another unacceptable concern.

Joseph the GM was fantastic. Very professional, accommodating, and welcoming. Loved the hotel, how clean it is, and how unique and cute the building itself is. Only a few blocks from the river walk and parking is slightly less than the rest of the hotels on the river.

I would like to start out by saying how sincerely sorry I am for all you experienced here at the Marriott Plaza. We strive to exceed our guests expectations and we fell woefully short with your stay with us. Management met in regards to this review and they will be addressing every department and employee with the complete lack of care you were given while with us. This is not how Marriott Plaza operates and we are genuinely sorry for your stay.

Well, it wasn’t what I was expecting, I’m used to business style hotels I.e. holidays inn, stay bridges and the like. So I’m used to free breakfast, free wifi, free parking. Free coffe in the room.
