La Quinta Inn & Suites San Antonio Downtown

The room was huge and looked clean, but there was a strong mildew odor right when you entered. There is only one small guest elevator, and it needs updating. Breakfast was fine, standard stuff for this type of hotel. Free parking was very nice, as most hotels in this area charge quite a bit for it. 10-min walk to Riverwalk (it was raining so we Ubered), 1/2 mi to Market Square.

Great location. 10 minute walk to River Walk. Rooms were large, clean, well equipped. We did have problem with the bathroom ceiling fan leaking water. Reported it at desk and nothing was done. The next day we reported again and that clerk had maintenance on it immediately as well as crediting a night's stay to our account. We appreciated that as it was an annoying problem and the 2nd clerk was very efficient. We would stay there again.

Over all my stay was great, access to stairwell need work.

The facilities smell badly, due to the amount of pets in. They are very noisy, bark very loudly. A lot if dig hair in the facilities.

Good location, newly renovated rooms. Good breakfast to start your day.

I like the hotel but at the breakfast area is hard to get a good place to sit with a table. We need to share a little end table for 6 people to put cups, plates. Because of this, the breakfast area gets dirty. It was the 3rd time that I booked and since you were improving I thought that you were putting more tables and sitting places to have more confort on the breakfast. Disappointed...

It was under renovation when we arrived. I was ready for a disaster. Instead, we had wonderful rooms. VERY friendly staff. And the confusion from the construction that I had expected, was non existent. Thank you for making our trip that much better!

Lobby under Contruction. Had to go to back of hotel to enter.

Pleasant. Good breakfast. Helpful staff, just not always in the know.

Great price and location. Only compliant is the breakfast room was hot. We are a family of 5, 2 double beds and a sleeper sofa bed was perfect.

Negatives: hot water was only lukewarm (they were working on it), renovation work being done on the first floor blocking restrooms, hallways, and parking. Positives: guest rooms and halls were recently renovated and are really nice and clean. Great location: a short walk to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Staff very accommodating and helpful.

No problems. A bit pricey and not my first preference in that area. Free breakfast was good- eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, toast, fruit, etc.

we chose this hotel as it's close to the convention center and taxi was only $6.00 each way. We like the hotel except they did not change our sheets for the 3 day stay and on Friday we come to the room only to find sugar ants on the coffee bar and a few in our bathroom. They were taken care of quickly and we had no further experience with them. The room is large and comfortable and we were happy with the two noted exceptions. There are no amenities in the hotel at all.

I asked for a double queen bed, but the size if the beds are full instead.

Buena estancia!!!! Hotel muy tranquilo recomendable los cuartos muy limpios t cómodos

All the places of interest are close by La Quinta in Suites we enjoy it a lot thanks

Solo preferiria que cambiarán el desayuno; no el mismo menú todo los días.

A wonderful surprise! Easy to find after a 9 hour drive. Great location to walk to everything we wanted to see in San Antonio. The hotel has been updated, the staff is attentive, and the breakfast was better than expected. We couldn't be more pleased.

When I booked the hotel the description stated that it was across the street from the river walk. It is a one mile walk to the river walk! The hotel has two small elevators that is for guests and staff. So the line backs up rather quickly when the staff have to take up the whole elevator with their equipment. Our room had a pull out couch. There was no extra bedding or pillows in the room, when I went to the front desk to ask for pillows for my son they told me the hotel was full and they were out of pillows. nexr day we went up front to request extra towels because we had 5 people and only 4 towels. Once again they said they are booked and only have one person working the floor so they are not sure how long it would take. We ended up looking for the cleaning person ourself and getting a towel. I would not stay in this hotel again. It is not close enough to anything to walk to so you still have to drive and pay for parking. If you have to drive to the river walk you might as well stay a little further away and get a hotel at a better price.

Enjoyed our time with LaQuinta. The staff, from desk clerk to cleaning staff were very helpful. We had no idea where to go or how to get there when we arrived in San Antonio, Tx. They made our time so much more convenient and enjoyable. Great breakfast to start our days! Looking forward to a return trip.
