Candlewood Suites San Antonio N - Stone Oak Area

The suite with a kitchenette sounds like a good idea, but there just isn't enough seating or table space for in-room dining. With no breakfast offering and only once-a-week room cleaning, the price seems too high.

Hotel met my expectations. Staff was very friendly.

That had awesome beds and the employees were very helpful and nice

I booked this hotel based only upon its location. I should have driven further. It was warm in our room when we arrived in the evening, but we turned the temperature down on the unit and went to the pool. Woke up sweating in the morning and tried adjusting the wall thermostat. It did nothing. The ice maker also had not made ice. Called the front desk for service. Maintenanceperson only turned the temp down to 60 on the unit and did not fix the thermostat or ice maker. I was told to get ice from the machine in the lobby. It was never a comfortable temp in the room and the staff offered no help in getting the ice back to my room. I later found that the dishwasher was broken as well. All I ever received from the staff was sympathy, but no solutions. It is a very self-service type of hotel. Maid service only once a week, so I had to ask to have the trash removed and to get replacement coffee packets, which the front desk person couldn't find. Pool was small and the jacuzzi was not warm. The internet service was awful: slow and intermittant. The suite room was adequate, but there was no luggage rack and the shelving in the bathroom was inadequate. No pillowtop on the bed. Best thing about the room was the soft, fluffy towels.

Was good not bad, We just stayed for 9 hrs .... but i like it...

Only stayed 1 night but I stayed there previously for 10 days in a row. Great hotel and location for what I needed.

We toured San Antonio and New Braunfels. This is a great hotel, gives you the option of eating out or preparing a quick meal, or barbq at the pavillion, very nice and relaxing atmosphere. This was the best place to stay and will be recommended to family and friends. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is better than staying with friends or family or other hotels, affords privacy with an at home comfort. We even stayed an extra night.

My wife and I traveled to San Antonio for the weekend to check it out as we will be relocating there in a few months. I have no complaints with this hotel. It was nothing amazing but was fine for the price. It was clean and the staff was pleasant. The Stone Oak area is nice and it is only a short drive to the airport (about 8 miles) and not too far from the River Walk (about 16-18 miles). Rooms have refrigerators and stove surfaces but keep in mind that since it is and extended stay establishment they said at check-in that housekeeping is only performed every 7 days (you can exchange towels though). I'd stay again.

Great location, very clean, with a very helpful staff. Will definately consider staying here on my next visit.

I was there visiting friends and enjoying the River Walk. The hotel was only about 20 minutes at the most from downtown San Antonio and a better price than downtown.

The building is very new and when you get inside you can tell that its new. The staff was friendly. I forgot to request a portable crib before we arrived amd when we got there they didn't have one at the time but said would bring one the next day. The next day they didn't have one either so they brought a rollaway bed free of charge which was lower to the ground than the beds so we took it. I did not like that they had maid service only once a week and since we stayed there 4 days they told us we wouldn't get it at all. We had a huge pile of trash in our room. The location is kind of far from everything, we had a car so it wasn't that big of a deal but if you will be using cabs it will get very costly. We took a cab to the airport and it was about 25 but attractions are past the airport.

Very nice rooms and very quiet. Hotel is rather new and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Due to this being an extended stay hotel as well the rooms only recieve room service once a week if you are staying a week.
