Great breakfast in restaurant setting with restaurant setting. Hotel does not accept pets even though says it does on website. Pool was awesome! Front desk staff was not friendly. Air conditioner loud. Shower head broke and sprayed everywhere.

My husband liked how close the hotel was to the river.

My room (417) had bed bugs. There was blood stains on the comforter. Walls were dirty. There was a chunk out of the mirror. The top of the curtain valance was dirty. How could that be? It's up so high. I was scheduled to stay 5 days, but checked out after three when I saw the bed bug. I informed the front desk but all they could say was "we're sorry about that.

This hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. But age was apparent. There were only two plugs available to charge electronics - not nearly enough for today's customers. This could be easily solved and should have been already. The morning breakfast was probably the best we have experienced for this type of service with one major problem. The hotel was slammed with several large groups and did not prepared properly for the breakfast crowd. People had to stand around for an extremely long time for food to be prepared, coffee ran out, etc. The road leading to the hotel was horrible (not there problem) but it does affect the overall rating. The location shown in their ad makes you think you are located right by the river walk - that is not true. One good point is that historic downtown is only a couple of minutes away.

We travel this route twice a year but this was the first time we stayed at this hotel. Great is all I can say, nice area ,friendly staff great room.

We stayed at this hotel because the next morning my son was to have surgery so we wanted to be close to the hospital we were assured this was a non-smoking facility first our room smelled of cigarette smoke Second when we pulled back the sheets they were stained and there was hair on the pillows and in the bathtub we called down to the front desk and they told us they didn't have any other sheets to replace it nor did they have anywhere else to put us in the hotel we ended up having to go buy a sheet and a blanket to put over the bed so we could sleep if it hadn't been for the fact we paid for the hotel are ready we would have left. When I asked for the receipt the next morning they told me they could not print out since we prepaid worst experience I have ever had and the staff was very rude

Hotel was clean, rooms were clean. AC was left to be desired (95 in texas!) It kept cycling on and off in 1 minute increments then would just shut off completely. Looks like at one time they had central heat and air; but opted for the old style under the window loud AC Unit. Toiletries were not replaced, even though they threw the empty bottles away as they were used (not stowed away to take home). Hotel Manager wanted to argue regarding the loud music until 1 am and then promised construction wouldn't be done on Sunday. Well that was not so...bright and early 7 am the banging started again. When I booked this hotel there was nothing to be said about construction. I would have not stayed at this hotel if it was known about the construction. Value would have been great despite the construction and loud music (Cinco De Mayo) over a half mile awhile!! and I still heard the music in my room. The only reason this hotel receives any stars was for the clean rooms and the continental breakfast which was good. Better than most hotels

This hotel is going thru some upgrades but for the price is good. Has a sleep number bed which we have at home so we slept good. Breakfast was ok. We would stay here again the staff was nice but we usually travel to large city's and stay in 4 star or above hotels so this isn't a common stay for us

nice people, clean, sleep number beds and a good breakfast selection.

Way overpriced for what is offered. "Free" breakfast is not worth getting up early to try.

I had a good stay. Located close to everything I needed. Staff was ok, outside was gorgeous! Rooms were nice and clean and fairly updated. I have no complaints

Location for the hotel was odd. Things seem old in the hotel and there was an odd smell in the elevators and hallways. Looked and felt gloomy.

Nice room. Pleasant Employees. Looks newly remodeled, nice finishes.

We were anticpating a less than average experience because of the cost of the room was so reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised to find the room well fit out and extremely clean. Staff were friendly and helpfull ... all in all a good experience and a great value.

Although the front desk was very friendly they were obviously embarassed by what they had to offer. The first thing that happened was the elevator would not come down past the 4th floor (and only one of them worked!) The janitor said he was working on them and to try the service elevator if this one didn't come down. It finally did and the guest who got on the elevator with us said you have hold down the button or it will stop at each floor, sure enough he was right. He also wished us good luck 3 times before he got off at the 2nd floor! We went to our room and the bed was unmade and dirty towels still on the batroom sink. We went back and the desk clerk showed us another room and it smelled so bad because the room next door had over-flowed and the carpets had not ben vacuumed so the clerk gave us their "suite". At least it didn't stink, but when we pulling the torn shower curtain closed there were two greasy hand prints from the previous tenant! We were too tired to complain and spent very little time there. Hated the air mattress. I really felt sorry for the employees and we will never go back.

The Hotel is clean, the staff was helpful and attentive. The remodeled rooms were very nice, clean, and up to date style.

Good clean hotel practically in downtown San Angelo. Old TV & a lumpy bed were the only negatives.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stepped foot in to! Smells of mold and paint. Looked as if a car had drivin into the hotel where the bar used to be, and fence around the hotel leading to the front door. It was hot, and when I ask if the a/c in the rooms work, I was told it will be cold tomorrow, so it won't matter! Needless to say, we left, and booked at the Holiday Inn Express across town, not that is a place you should stay!

Our room was clean and the staff was very nice. We will stay here when we visit San Angelo next time.

In spite of my criticisms above, this hotel has potential. The fact that they were undergoing massive renovation really hurt. It will be awesome in about 3 to 6 months. I would go back just to see what they did. There was no restaurant as was advertised and the full breakfast consisted of toast or cereal. There was also a very funky smell that permeated the whole place, even the rooms. HOWEVER, the rooms were very neat, well decorated, and clean. though small.
