- Good and safe location (not far by car to archeological park). - Very friendly and very helpful staff. They speak English. - Comfortable and clean room, even it's a little bit old and it needs renovation. - Clean bathroom, even it's a little bit old and it needs renovation. - The breakfast and the dinner were very good.
Stayed for 2 nights, river view room with twin beds. Requested for extra bed. Linen for extra bed is not very clean and smelled funny. Pillow is uncomfortable - too high and stiff. Beds were shaky, not sturdy. Shower is good with hot water. Toiletries provided were sufficient. TV lighting was too dim, and very few channels. Breakfast was okay, decent but nothing extraordinary. Most of the furnishing around this hotel is very old. They work fine, but looks aged. No hot water kettle. Hotel only provided 2 bottles of free water per room per day. Would be good to provide a hot water kettle so guests can boil their own water.
We did no stay in this hotel but went to have buffet as a stop over lunch organised by the tour operator. The Restaurant is located next to the river.. and was very busy on the day we were there. It seems like there was a seminar being held there and that include lunch.. So we were queuing for food with the whole bunch of participants of the seminar... it wasn't a pleasant experience... Still it was a cool place to chill after walking around in this hot humid weather to see several temples and temple ruins... The food was so so and the buffet set up really wasn't that professionally done... not really presentable hotel standard... Not a restaurant I would come back...
The rooms are spacious and clean. The hallways are not air conditioned which is slightly inconvenient. Our bathroom had a small leak which we did not report until check out. The pool and the breakfast were both very good. This is a great hotel for a short stay.
This hotel is situated on the banks of the Pasak River and is close to Ayutthaya train station. I arrived at around 5:00 a.m. at the hotel, after an overnight train trip from Chiang Mai, and was allowed to check in early. My room was of a reasonable size, with a very comfortable bed, a safe, a TV and a refrigerator. The room provided an enjoyable view of the river. The bathroom was clean and met my expectations. Breakfast, which was included in the price of the room, catered for both local and international tastes.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and was overall very happy. The public areas including the foyer, conference room and the restaurant are spacious, modern and clean. The food selection and quality is top notch, serving both Western and Asian dishes. The pool is quite average but does the job. The only two downsides are that A) the wifi does not work in the rooms as advertised, however works very well in the lobby and B) the shower head is fixed very low, so is very uncomfortable to shower if you're over 5 foot 5.
Staff is friendly. Hotel is little old fashioned but does the job. Included breakfast is decent. Hotel is close to street food that is worth it. Shower is not adapted for medium or tall people. Had no problem with the rest.
This is a rather big city hotel with a beautiful lobby. The rooms are spacious and clean. Some parts of the hotel look little bit worn, but it makes the charm of this hotel and gives you a colonial impression. Big and good breakfast setting, but it can get crowdy. In the evening a dinner outside near the riverbank is in our opinion a must done. It is rather expensive though, but the garden area is just romantic. One point of comment on this though: with the lightest drop of rain the staff make you go inside and close the beautiful terrace. Then all the charm is lost because you are dining in the breakfast area.
Stayed at this hotel many times. Get a room with a view of the river on top floors. The gym is not so big but it's got all I need and outdoor pool which mostly has shade is fine (maybe a little to much chlorine) The breakfast is awesome (try it in the garden) and the service is good overall.
Very dated property must of been very popular at one time everything in the rooms are outdated as well as the food on the property not good. I would recommend a one day trip To Ayutthaya to see the ruins and drive back to Bangkok. Only saving grace is that they have an Italian restaurant so we ordered Pizza. You can't mess that up.
