We booked the Sheraton while driving to our final destination as a stop-over. The hotel is located in a beautiful area and setting. The hotel is extremely nice, and it's a typical Austrian type of building. Quite a lot of wood and the staff is dressed up in traditional clothing. After a long drive the pool was a great area to refresh. Nice and modern pool with ability to take a sun bath outside. We got upgraded for both of our rooms to a suite, which was a two story room. The suite was pretty nice, lots of room and great bathroom. The staff also provided a fruit plate in the room at arrival! Staff is very helpful in recommendations for food and surroundings. Breakfast on the patio in the morning sunlight was great. lots of choice for breakfast, including an omelet station and waffles. Great stay, great team, great hotel!
Sheraton Fuschlsee was merely a stopover for us on our roadtrip, as our ambition was to experience driving over the Alps and turn back the next day. However we found ourselves more than happy with the lovely Sheraton Fuschlsee, its quiet beautiful location and nice spa area. On our arrival we were provided an upgrade to a suite, which had more than enough space for our needs. The room was a bit old-fashioned with its dark wooden furniture, but on the other hand this suits the spirit of the old hunting house. The bathroom was very nice with a separate shower and a bathtub under a rooftop window, offering you the opportunity to gaze the stars while taking a bath. We were very positively surprised by the spa area, which offered several different types of saunas, an indoor pool with a small jacuzzi corner and sunbathing opportunity on the terrace. Unfortunately we were not in full health to enjoy the restaurant's offer during our dinner (something we caught already from Slovenia), but the menu had nice offer of local fish, game and mushroom based dishes. In the morning however we enjoyed an overwhelmingly huge in-room breakfast, which is recommended for those who want to stay in bed longer. Right next to the hotel there is a golf course that we didn't visit this time while traveling without our golf bags. The hotel impressed me however so much that I am already planning for a long weekend and that time I will also take my clubs with me.
We stayed there 2 nights at the end of June. The hotel is located nearby the Fuschlsee lake, far away (20 minutes driving distance) from the city center. It only takes us 10 minutes to walk from hotel to the lake. I was jogging along the trail surrounding the lake, the full circle is roughly 11-12km, passing through a beautiful town AM SEE. We opened the window but it's still a bit hot as there was no air-con inside the room. The breakfast is just great, taste and variety. We also tried the restaurant inside the hotel. It's a bit pricey but the food is also great, I tried the trout, it's refreshing and very delicious.
The hotel staff and the facility are top notch. We enjoyed the departure from the city experience and were happy to get into a countryside setting. The restaurants on site are good and the pool and spa area are well done. If you travel during the summer note that the nights are chilly are you will need a sweater or jacket. Also it is worth noting that the rooms are not equipped with airconditioning which may be an adjustment for some. I am a 68 degree AC traveler but was able to make it just fine with an open window and a fan provided by the front desk.
We stayed 3 nights and very much enjoyed our accommodations and the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. Rooms were very comfortable and views surrounding beautiful. Great distance from Salzburg to be able to travel in but also get away into the stunning countryside.
Just completed a two night stay (having returned after a 15 year absence). Was very disappointed in the way the staff treated my Thai wife each morning at breakfast as on at least three occasions communicated to me the staff kept chastising her for obtaining food in the main breakfast restaurant area instead of the separate Chinese tour group area (she was not part of this or any other group, and is NOT Chinese). It took another staff member to correct the mis-identification. Having this (alleged) mistake happen once could be forgiven as not intentional discrimination, but the repeats just demonstrate a staff that wants the Asian dollar but shows no respect for the individuals nationality. Much better training was expected, but unfortunately not received/demonstrated. I for one will not be returning to the property (but as an attorney this property shall be hearing from me further on this topic) and any other Asian individual regardless of nationality should be aware of this discriminatory attitude.
We stayed at the Sheraton Fuschlsee for 3 nights. The hotel is located 15km or 30 minutes outside of Salzburg. It's a great location if you want to relax and get out of the city for a few days. There are no facilities within walking distance of the hotel so it is quite secluded. We didn't have a car so relied on the bus to get us in and out of the city. The bus stop is located at the top of the hotel driveway and bus 150 takes you to Mirabellplatz within 30 mins and costs 4.60 Euro per person each way. The bus doesn't run very frequent (1 per hour sat/sun and public holidays) so you need to plan your day so you don't waste precious time. Arrival - we were welcomed by friendly staff and checkin was efficient. The staff wore Austrian outfits which was a nice touch and added to the atmosphere of the hotel. Room - we stayed in room 437 which had amazing views of the lake and mountains and a nice sized balcony. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only issue were the pillows, they were too soft and flat so you might as well have slept without one. The bathroom was very spacious and could have had a bath or spa as there was sufficient space for one. The room had a rustic feel which definitely suited the location. Jagdhof Restaurant - we had dinner here on our 1st night. The food was delicious. We opted for the asparagus and dumpling soup, goulash and wiener schnitzel which was a great choice. Pool - spacious and a great place to relax after a day exploring Salzburg. Wifi ✔️ Business centre - 3 PC's available with printing facilities ✔️ Departure - on check out we had 3 breakfast charges on our account even though we didn't have breakfast at the hotel. This was removed without any issues. We weren't advised on checkin that a special breakfast rate was available to us during our stay. Had we known this we may have opted to eat breakfast at the hotel. Again on departure the staff were friendly and engaging. We stayed here over Easter and it was lovely coming back to a plate of easter eggs in the room. It's the little things that enhance your hotel experience and especially when my travelling companion loves chocolate. Overall we had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and the hotel and facilities are what you would expect from a Sheraton.
A beautiful and wonderful hotel for anyone wishing to relax and relax away from the hustle and bustle. I strongly advise everyone to vist. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. The service is fantastic.
Being a platinum member I was required to request for the usual upgrade. Room did not have drinking water and they charged for water if u drink more then 2 bottles. The spa and Indoor pool and grounds are superb. The rooms are neat clean and beds great. Lovely property, superb location. Breakfast was a little let down and then need to improve the bakery products and the coffee .
The Hotel is built next to a lake and golf course. The Service was good. Room was spacious and had good amenities like brew-coffee machine, locker, Iron etc. One could look out of sky-windows, over the bath tub. A walk track around the Fuschlsee lake was great for a morning jog. The view from balcony was nice. While the breakfast room was not too large, they did make up by entertaining to requests. Buffet itself was good and Omelet well prepared. The pool was refreshing and had temperature control
