We got a overpriced last minute deal from Booking.com. The hotel is good for couple or a single - certainly not for families as the rooms are small and awkwardly designed with sharp edges of the interior furniture. The front desk staff are helpful and the local bus stop is just across the street with very good bus frequency to downtown in 10 mins, upto the main central station in 20 mins. There is a small cafe across the street for a good morning coffee and freshly baked croissants and sandwiches. The hotel is well located in a convenient and quiet neighbourhood on the main road but NOT in a tourist location - but certainly in beautiful Salzburg city. There are some good restaurants and boutique shops within few minutes walk from the hotel where its possible to find a good deal on some garments. The housekeeping was good and the beds were comfortable but as i said the only drawback is the awkward design and interior furnishing of the rooms. If you are interested to stay in Salzburg but away from the tourist traffic this is a good choice but book it in advance to get a cheap deal.
Very small room, with small space for shower, and what was really bad is toilet with glass door. Really akward. But few km from city center was perfect location for us because we travel with our car and free parking that hotel offers was good for us. We stayed one night only, and only for place to sleep one noght is good choice, for more days to stay- better find other hotel.
I booked what was called the Snooze Guesthouse on booking.com for 41.55euro or roughly $50. There was a little bit of a wait to check in and the parking lot was full so i ended up parking in an unmarked spot. The hotel was very basic, and I had a twin bed which wasn't the most comfortable, 13" tube TV(felt like a TV antique) on the night stand and a private shower and bathroom. The room and property was clean, access to downtown and back was super easy and affordable(2.6euro each way) on the #1 or #10 bus and only took 5-10 minutes. My room was fairly warm, so i cracked the window to cool it down... I wasn't sure how else to. I noticed a bug on the toilet paper in the morning, it may have just flown or crawled in from the window. The only real negative I would say is that someone came home at 1am was fairly loud and the walls are pretty thin and I struggled to fall back asleep. in general though things where fairly quite. I mean for what it is, and the cost i don't know that I can complain. It was a clean, private room with parking for under $50. I skipped the breakfast option.
I stayed at Snooze for a night to visit Salzburg! Got a very good rest after long flight and on the train! Bus#1 stops in front of the hotel from Salzburg train station! For a solo traveler who relied on public transportation which was great! I walked to the city center without taking a bus! The hotel is nice and clean, bed was comfortable and wifi is good as well! I enjoyed my stay at Snooze!
Oh dear, room quirky layout. Twin room with beds angled head to head. Was more like a youth hostel than hotel. 89 euro room only, is double the price it is worth. Good location but stop somewhere else. No pictures on walls very bare, like a prison cell.
This hotel is definitely not worth the price. No regular sized towels, no bath soap and uncomfortable bathroom. Air circulation and temperature control were rather poor. The only saving grace was that it was clean. Look around before picking this hotel, I'm sure you will find something better in the area for this price (110$).
A very nice place to spend the night or more nights in the city of Salzburg, very clean, easy acess, great breakfast and very helpfull and friendly staff, free parking space outside the hotel but you must arrive earlier then 6:00 pm
Rooms are clean and basic, very small and outdated. Staff very friendly and helpful and it is ideally situated by a regular bus stop for a 10 minute ride to the city and walking distance to Stiegl-Brauwelt. Pretty expensive also for what I got.
Excellent facilities provided (incl buffet breakfast), room was comfortable for my needs and the staff were very helpful and friendly, including tips on the must sees in Salzburg and the most economic way of using the Salzburg Pass card. Bus stop is immediately outside which takes you into the old city or the walk is about 15-20 mins.
Stayed here whilst passing through Austria, from Slovenia on our way to Germany. Booked last minute so we didn't have a great choice. It cost us €54 which is not a lot, I know. But I've paid less and similar amounts in much nice hotels. It was very dated with old carpets and furniture. Really dated bathroom with very poor lighting. I wouldn't stay here again if I'm honest. The reception staff were polite though.
